imho licoln riley is a big name w not a lot of results or grit (see the pout-fest at the end of the baylor game). yes, OK has been to the cfp recently, but it has gotten spanked. i think he is PERFECT for usc, where he will attract similar players—big names, no results. so yes, usc’s recruiting rankings will 100% go up, which will be great for the pac. but it will all be cosmetic. mc prob wouldn’t have landed pittman against riley. is that such a bad thing?

100%! i actually think helfrich might not have been fired if he had had control of all the off field issues. seems like players were getting arrested weekly in his last year. lylerla is a sad story, and he prob would have had a better chance under MC. the fact that there have been so few negative off field headlines for MC is testament to his recruiting and his leadership. it’s actually one of the things i like most about MC.

agreed. you just don’t air your dirty laundry on twitter like that. MC had no choice but to discipline MP.

my fave part of the Joe Walker fumble return for the touchdown was afterward, seeing the utter disgust on head ref Land Clark’s face as he had to describe Clay’s fumble on the goal line.

i have been thinking this all season. unfortunately, #1 was better. BUT i think the supporting cast around #13 is waaaaaaaaay better. remember when an injury to a single OL ruined a season?

i agree. everyone from inside the program is saying this is one of, if not THE toughest teams for dux to beat. this really is a playoff game.

i love the way MC talks. He never talks down to his audience the way MH and CK always did. he offers real info while also keeping it close to the vest. and he’s honest, unlike WT. when MC was still an assistant, he was always the first person i wanted to see interviewed.

it could be nefarious, but i think it’s simply accurate. it’s the coaches’ and ap polls that give credit for wins in games not yet played. if we believe the committee, which says conf champs is major factor, then a 0- or 1-loss p5 champion will get in before a 1-loss p5 runner-up (yes, even the SEC runner-up). the only excuse would be SOR/SOS, but making that excuse would be like giving a giant middle finger to the conf (or 2) that’s left out, and i just don’t see anyone wanting to die on that hill. pac-12 and big12 have just made it easy by producing 2-loss champs. does an undefeated or 1-loss wake forest get in ahead of a 1-loss SEC runner-up in GA? i hope no one has to decide that.

for the 2nd straight week, ZERO teams in the pac south have won a game yet, and usc is trying to lose. the south’s only wins will come against other south teams.
