  1. Wow, thats a huge risk. Not sure he is thinking this one through. I hope his wife, coach and parents talk some sense into him. I don't see any benifit to Nix playing this game.
  2. Ducks didn’t show up motivated to play UW in a conference championship game. I doubt they are juiced for this one. Right now I am a lean for Liberty to beat Oregon. If TT doesn't transfer out and Ducks get beat by Liberty due to lack of juice by the entire team? Wow.
  3. Lol... Ducks might not finish in the top 10. If Ducks beat liberty by 30 folks will roll their eyes. If it's close or Liberty wins. Folks will point and laugh. No team in the top 7 are dropping below Oregon, win or lose. This will be the biggest game in Liberty history. They will come to play. Ducks on the other hand... Pretty hilarious if I am an opposing fan base. Ducks got humiliated by Husky for a half. So Oregon made its own bed.
  4. I don't see it. A Duck fan picks the Husky to win in a championship game over the Ducks? With nothing at risk? Yea, that one is over my head for sure. But in the spirit of this forum I will just say congratulations and move on.
  5. IMO, this will become the norm. With TP and NIL you can add 4 to 6 more teams to the top of the CFB food chain. Great timing for a 12 team post season. College football should be congratulated on having the foresight to see it in advance.
  6. I just hope Ducks make a NY6 game. Only for the reason it gives Oregon another month of practice. Clearly the Ducks need as much as they can get imo. Especially the coaching staff imo. I would love to see Kirby and Dan face off again. Due to most stars sitting out it would be 2's v. 2's for the most part. That would be interesting imo. I would also like to see Nix sit out and see Thompson get the nod. UGA has very good depth and their two's would be good competion to see how TT stacks up. The game is meaningless unfortunately. Only pride is on the line. Ty Thompson might not be available either though. If Oregon gets a portal QB, and this is only my opinion to be clear, Ty should absolutely jump into the portal immediately. No reason for him to stay at Oregon at that point imo. Ducks could find themselves without a viable QB in this game. The freshman haven't really played but a few snaps and I don't think any have thrown the ball in live game reps. I will watch the bowl game but this season is disapointing imo. Ducks won 11 games but lost. I can't categorize Ducks as a 'great' team as a result. They are very good and right on the cusp. But imo, 'great' means something. 'Great' is a tear above where the Ducks sit right now. On to 24' where I will cheer for Oregon as enthusiastically as I did in 23'. GO DUCKS!
  7. IMO... losing is not better than winning... ever... under any circumstances. And losing to the Husky? Sorry, but that is never ok. I will agree with you on the point you made saying "This is crazy..."
  8. So you are saying Lanning has a Deboer problem? I agree with you . DeBoer is a top 5 coach and he coaches the huskys. Lanning is inexperienced and gets exposed by guys like Deboer. Lanning will get better in time.
  9. Bottom line in my opinion... line play. The Ducks got smoked on both sided of the ball in the trenches. They played soft and got beat. Thats been the narrative for years and thats what lost this game. Penix did what he wanted most playes. Had all day in the pocket. Huskies possessed and controled the ball a whole Q longer than the Ducks. Huskies came to play and thats what they did. Huskies are 13-0 and conference champs because they wnated it more. This game wasn't as close as the scoreboard shows.
  10. Wash, USC, tOSU, Mich and PSU might have something to say about that. Hopefully the Ducks can put themselves in the mix.
  11. In my opinion, Husky came to play from the jump, Ducks didn’t. Ducks got flat out whooped by a better team and better coaching. Ducks aren't ready for the big boys yet. I thought they were but I was wrong. It was obvious Washington is the better team. Physically, emotionally and mentally Oregon was out classed.
  12. Husky went 13-0. I tip my cap. Respect.
  13. It appears Lanning has a Deboer problem
  14. LOOK: LSU puts up Jayden Daniels billboard in Las Vegas as Heisman race with Oregon's Bo Nix tightens - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Tigers want to make sure voters don't forget about Daniels at the Pac-12...
  15. On3 portal tracker doesn't have Ward committed to anyone. But that doesn't mean anything. A lot of smoke here so probably going to be a Duck
  16. IDK, Oregon grabbing CW shouts loud and clear that TT is not wanted or needed. I wouldn't stay at a place I was unwanted regardless of current possibilities.
  17. TT should transfer immediately. There is no reason for him to be a Duck. Loyalty is not a thing in college football. I hope Ty goes to a good team and lights it up.
  18. Interesting, I have heard some chatter that Washington has been playing not to lose for several games now. Makes sense when you look at how the past 6 have played out.
  19. It's not, imo, what DeBoer has done. More what he hasn't done. Lanning has made decisions that didn't work out. Many called them "rookie". DeBoer has not made the same mistakes Dan has.
  20. Kalen Deboer is 2-0 vs. Dan Lanning. Oregons biggest rival has beaten them in heart breaking fashion in those two meetings. Kalen DeBoer's coaching chops is a big factor in those Duck losses. Both Lanning and DeBoer are brilliant coaches imo. Dan, in his second year as a head coach, is 21-4 and Deboer is 102-11(90ish% winning record) in his nine year coaching career. I hate the Huskies, I hope Deboer gets an ingrown hair in his nose hole today. But I have a tremendous amount of respect for DeBoer. Deboer is a winner everywhere he goes. And he has out coached Lanning in two meetings. His experience of 9 years over Lannings 2 matters. How does Lanning overcome that gap in experience? These losses have been by very slim margins regardless of the gaps in coaching experience. Lanning has proven, in my mind anyhow, that he can coach at the highest levels. Lanning has a chance to mirror Chip Kelly first two regular season records at 10-3 and 12-1 with a win today. Chip was brilliant at Oregon and Lanning is looking to match. DeBoer is a problem for Lanning. Dan hasn't been able to get over that hump. I guarantee you this is at the front of Lannings mind as a motivator for coach to grab 1% as a coach. I like Dans chances putting this issue to rest today. He has this team playing the best football a Duck team has possibly ever played. They are focused. The analytics favor Oregon. The talent gap and depth favor Oregon. The game is being played on a neutral site. Coaching? I hate to say it but I think the edge goes to Washington. But I think the margin is thin. It got much thinner after/since Oct 14th. These are both great teams that are extreamly well coached. Both fan bases are proud and excited for todays Pac-12 Championship game. The growth mindset Dan preaches needs to come to fruition for Lanning as a coach today. I feel Lanning will finally beat his (developing) coaching nemesis today. Become elite today coach and beat DeBoer and the Huskies. Go Ducks!
  21. Driving under the influence is serious business. Why it's not a felony is beyond me. DUI is deadly but the consequences are light when you account for the risk to others. Glad nobody was hurt or killed. I hope this kid learns something from this and can turn it around. A lot of good people make bad choices at times. Sometimes those choices snowball and take one down dark roads. Colt Lyerla comes to mind. Good luck to the young man, he has some serious work to do to set this right.
  22. I remember at the beginning of the season, there was a lot of talk amongs coaches, players and fans about being feared. We want opposing teams to fear playing Oregon defense. Mission accomplished? We will see. I hate the Huskies. I want them ground into the turf. I want their fans and players hearts ripped out and stomped on. Seriously injured... No. But battered and bruised, yep! If we take a PF in the process, so be it.
