  1. LOOK: LSU puts up Jayden Daniels billboard in Las Vegas as Heisman race with Oregon's Bo Nix tightens - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Tigers want to make sure voters don't forget about Daniels at the Pac-12...
  2. On3 portal tracker doesn't have Ward committed to anyone. But that doesn't mean anything. A lot of smoke here so probably going to be a Duck
  3. IDK, Oregon grabbing CW shouts loud and clear that TT is not wanted or needed. I wouldn't stay at a place I was unwanted regardless of current possibilities.
  4. TT should transfer immediately. There is no reason for him to be a Duck. Loyalty is not a thing in college football. I hope Ty goes to a good team and lights it up.
  5. Interesting, I have heard some chatter that Washington has been playing not to lose for several games now. Makes sense when you look at how the past 6 have played out.
  6. It's not, imo, what DeBoer has done. More what he hasn't done. Lanning has made decisions that didn't work out. Many called them "rookie". DeBoer has not made the same mistakes Dan has.
  7. Kalen Deboer is 2-0 vs. Dan Lanning. Oregons biggest rival has beaten them in heart breaking fashion in those two meetings. Kalen DeBoer's coaching chops is a big factor in those Duck losses. Both Lanning and DeBoer are brilliant coaches imo. Dan, in his second year as a head coach, is 21-4 and Deboer is 102-11(90ish% winning record) in his nine year coaching career. I hate the Huskies, I hope Deboer gets an ingrown hair in his nose hole today. But I have a tremendous amount of respect for DeBoer. Deboer is a winner everywhere he goes. And he has out coached Lanning in two meetings. His experience of 9 years over Lannings 2 matters. How does Lanning overcome that gap in experience? These losses have been by very slim margins regardless of the gaps in coaching experience. Lanning has proven, in my mind anyhow, that he can coach at the highest levels. Lanning has a chance to mirror Chip Kelly first two regular season records at 10-3 and 12-1 with a win today. Chip was brilliant at Oregon and Lanning is looking to match. DeBoer is a problem for Lanning. Dan hasn't been able to get over that hump. I guarantee you this is at the front of Lannings mind as a motivator for coach to grab 1% as a coach. I like Dans chances putting this issue to rest today. He has this team playing the best football a Duck team has possibly ever played. They are focused. The analytics favor Oregon. The talent gap and depth favor Oregon. The game is being played on a neutral site. Coaching? I hate to say it but I think the edge goes to Washington. But I think the margin is thin. It got much thinner after/since Oct 14th. These are both great teams that are extreamly well coached. Both fan bases are proud and excited for todays Pac-12 Championship game. The growth mindset Dan preaches needs to come to fruition for Lanning as a coach today. I feel Lanning will finally beat his (developing) coaching nemesis today. Become elite today coach and beat DeBoer and the Huskies. Go Ducks!
  8. Driving under the influence is serious business. Why it's not a felony is beyond me. DUI is deadly but the consequences are light when you account for the risk to others. Glad nobody was hurt or killed. I hope this kid learns something from this and can turn it around. A lot of good people make bad choices at times. Sometimes those choices snowball and take one down dark roads. Colt Lyerla comes to mind. Good luck to the young man, he has some serious work to do to set this right.
  9. I remember at the beginning of the season, there was a lot of talk amongs coaches, players and fans about being feared. We want opposing teams to fear playing Oregon defense. Mission accomplished? We will see. I hate the Huskies. I want them ground into the turf. I want their fans and players hearts ripped out and stomped on. Seriously injured... No. But battered and bruised, yep! If we take a PF in the process, so be it.
  10. I agree with this. Imo, the separation of the top 10-15 teams is pretty thin. It only takes catching lightning in a bottle, a bounce of the ball, a fingernail swipe on a pass to change everything. At the top, it usually comes down to a couple playes that decide the outcome of games. Oct 14th was one of those games. Bama beat UGA in in CCG in 2021 only to see UGA win a NC. Texas beat Bama then lost to Okie. Okie lost to 8-4 Jayhawks. As I said, the margins are thin. There are to many factors in college football that dictate the success of a team. Much more than in the NFL. One factor as you said is coaching. A better coach can often find a win over the better team on paper. Deboer has beaten Lanning twice. Lanning has the better talent. Deboer has proven to be a winning coach with a 102-11 record. His experience over Lanning alone is huge. Deboer is brilliant and he has the record to back it up. Lanning is also brilliant but only has 26 games under his belt. So what goes into what makes a team a successful winner. Whats most valuable. Is it coaching, player talent, strength and conditioning, diet, depth... Then there is the weather, officiating, lucky bounces, freak injuries, home field, lightning in a bottle... All of the above The more teams that are given a chance at post season the better imo. It gives more teams an opportunity. It changes recruiting, the best recruits no longer have to choose between 4-5 teams to chase a title. When more teams have great players, the season is much more interesting and fun. 2023 proves that. So I like the 12 team format. It incentivises team to win conference title with a bye. Keeping the CCG relevant. A loss late doesn't tank your season and it gives us more meaningful football throughout December. Go Ducks!
  11. I didn't even know this was a thing. I guess everything is graded
  12. Unless its a PF or targeting, sec lets them play. I hope B1G refs cut from the same cloth next year.
  13. Your Athens Dawgs need to win, can't have Bama knocking the Ducks out if Ducks win. I want a rematch with GA badly. Ducks are built to hang with UGA. Apple don't fall far from the tree.
  14. I like it. Give conf champs motivation to win a conference. There's Something to be said for playing through though. Time to heal or maintain momentum and keep playing?
  15. Section c122 row 30 is selling for $57,432. Those are insane numbers. One seat. Crazy
  16. I doubt Moore gets picked up by Oregon unless TT enters portal (he should). But even then I doubt Oregon wants him. TT is a better QB and Smith Jr will show up in 25' class. If TT stays and starts, thats 2 years of eligibility. Moore won't sit that long even with a redshirt year.
  17. I heard the Oregon allotment sold out in an hour. The fan base is balling out. Well done Duck fan.
  18. Ducks win 45.25- 15.92 2 3 400 I have never won one of these so I went with scoring averages because clearly I have no clue. Defense giving up 15.92 ppg is ridiculous.
  19. DJ would make it much easier for the Next Duck QB. He would be a sacrificial lamb as "the guy after Nix". Whoever replaces Nix is in for a rough ride. Ty Thompson should go in the Portal. Find a place he can ball out next year. I think Ty is going to be a Dude but Duck fans are already pretty brutal on Thompson. If Ty replaces Bo every little mistake he makes he will be shredded over. More so than a incoming TP guy or one of the freshman. These are just my opinions but I don't think Oregon is a good place for Ty even is he is a very good QB. Fair or not, TT would get killed by Oregons fan base.
  20. Due to my legal expertise from watching an episode of Law and Order, plus my casual observations of the OJ trial, I will have to petition the court for a stay on voicing my opinion on these uncivil proceedings.
  21. C'mon man, cubic zirconia at best. One trip down the mountain with me in my mule train... diamonds for sure.
