O-Line: The Alpha that Separates Oregon from the Pac'
Log Haulin replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Against Georgia, Ducks put up 140ish yards on the ground. I don't think anyone has put 100 on them since. Ducks were 2/3 on 4th down and didn't give up a sac. Against everyone else except Wazzu (178 rush yards), Oregon is well over 200+ ypg. They have given up 1 sac for a loss of 6 inches all year. Maybe there is an O-Line out there that has similar or better numbers, IDK. What I do know is that Oregon's front has dominated everyone they have played. Yes, 140 yd and no sacs v. Dawgs is the exception due to red zone scoring and 2 pics. 140 yd and no sacs v. Dawgs is still super impressive. So... IMHO, at the halfway mark, Oregon's front is THE best in the nation. -
The look on Ty's face imo, confirms this. The look is more of one searching his mind for how the play is run and going over it in his head. Puts him in an immediate disadvantage.

O-Line: The Alpha that Separates Oregon from the Pac'
Log Haulin posted a topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Oregon's offensive line has been the root of its surge OREGON.RIVALS.COM The offensive line remains the root of Oregon's impressive offensive success. I want to recognize the O line as the heartbeat of Ducks high scoring offense. Everything Oregon is doing offensively is a result of the line dominant in the trenches. Seeing the Center Forsyth blocking DBs 10 yards down field tells us all we need to know. Touchdown Oregon. This is imo, the best line in the nation. The way they are playing, it going to be very difficult for the opposition to prevent them from driving Ducks all the way to conference championship. Huge atta-boy to the most dominant men in college football at the halfway point. Keep it up. I will be cheering this unit all the way to the CFP -
This feed and the many before it, whether the feed specifically focused on Ty or Bo transferring into Oregon, shows that OBDFans are really pulling hard for Ty to be successful. So many of us seem to be emotionally invested in this young mans success. I am hoping Ty doesn't wash out and gets to lead this team to great things in the future.

Oregon's Bo Nix is Getting Heisman Buzz After Fifth Straight Win
Log Haulin replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Bo Nix is the best QB in college football. There, I said it, Prove me wrong. -
I find myself watching line play deeper into the play than I have in the past. They are so fun to watch. A lot of times I watch the skill players from the replay. The o line is something special.

5 Star Priorities: Be the Man or Share the Rock?
Log Haulin replied to The Kamikaze Kid's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Great players make great players great players. Look at the amount of Bulldawgs drafted last year. Even with fewer individual highlights I think exceptional team play gets noticed and put at a higher premium from NFL. Perform well in the combine and cash the check. -
I think in Tyler mind he is a Duck. I don't see him transferring next year. Difference between DTR and TT is playing time. If Tyler doesn't get it next year he will move on.

Offense Averaging Nearly 50 POINTS PER GAME Since Georgia?
Log Haulin replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I was in awe of what I saw from Oregon v. Az. I know Az D is weak but they are still power 5 players. Oregon made them look high-school. -
Is it understanding the playbook or just lack of confidence in himself? Bo has shown star power this year. Maybe TT is watching Bo and it puts added pressure to perform. I don't know what it is. He doesn't look good. Hope he gets it figured out, I like the kid.

Aside from JF, the whole defensive secondary played their best of the season. There is a lot to fix still but this was a good performance. Az came in as the 6th best passing attack in the country. Avg 340+ yards a game. Ducks held them to 242 and 1 TD. I think the gritty performance of the Wazzu game payed huge dividends in this one. Oregon just keeps building from week to week. The first couple Az drives pushed the ball down the field. After that, Oregon adjustments shut them down. DTR and Chip are going to be a handful. Looking forward to how this staff responds in game to the challenge UCLA poses.

Jordan James and Jahlil Florence make big plays, burn redshirt seasons 247SPORTS.COM Jordan James and Jahlil Florence make big plays, burn redshirt seasons Florence was impressive. Like article said, he got a little caught up playing the man not the ball. He figures that out and he is going to be absolute lockdown. He got his first Int but could have snagged three. One he caught but got called holding, another he couldn't snatch. JF put everyone on notice Saturday. Dudes going to be a beast.

Halfway through the second I realizes that Dilly, Nix and the entire offense were in complete control. From that point on I was able to relax and really enjoy what I was seeing. I don't know that I have ever watched an offense perform so beautifully. Not even Chips. This Duck team is good, really good. The Defense is starting to catch up too. When that happens, look out.
