  1. Agree. Typically when a player moves on it is for more playing time. I don’t think Cam’s situation is any different.
  2. Excellent points Charles. Georgia, of course, is loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits, but what I found interesting is that among the stars from last night’s game were two 3-stars and a walk on. Safety Javon Bullard, who had two fumble recoveries and an interception, in the first half, was a 3-star, as was receiver Ladd McConkey, who was the 169th receiver in the nation coming out of high school. McConkey had 2 TD receptions last night. And let’s not forget quarterback Stetson Bennett, who was a walkon. So, while Kirby Smart is clearly one of the very best recruiters in college football, the ability of Smart and his staff to develop talent to is equally impressive. Players are developed over time. Lanning just finished year one, so while the jury is still out regarding his ability to develop talent, the verdict may be a couple of years away.
  3. Charles, we all get snarky at times…..I’ve certainly had my moments, which fortunately few have seen due to your moderators’ diligent work to insure this site remains civil.
  4. Losing your temper and being a raving foul mouth lunatic are two entirely different things. Big difference, big deal.
  5. Who was calling the plays tonight? There were several bead scratching calls.Cota….one target in the first half? And where was Hutson? I am glad Ferguson was more involved than he has been recently. And, yes, why yank Bucky when he was on a roll.
  6. Disagree…..after the Holiday Bowl he has to come back. In his defense he clearly was not 100 percent.
  7. Couldn’t agree more. Barwig’s skills and athleticism were average, but nobody played harder or more epitomized the style of play Harter brought from Penn.
  8. Charles….I appreciate the effort, and your relentlessness, in providing in depth and valuable information to this community. And while the many contributors - writers, editors, moderators - are vital to this site’s success, you are the person that makes it all work. FISHDUCK would not be what it is without you. Wishing you the best to you and your family this holiday season.
  9. That’s great Annie … Merry Christmas to you and yours. I’m celebrating with my daughters and four grandkids, watching It’s A Wonderful Life for probably the hundredth time…..before heading to San Diego.
  10. I agree…..I would take Bo for 2023, no question about it. But the loss of Moore stings, no matter how we try to spin it. The question…..Will TT be ready if Bo gets hurt? I have serious doubts based on his limited and ineffective performances thus far. I keep hearing about his physical skills, arm strength, etc. But I see TT’s issues as primarily mental. He just never looks comfortable and appears tentative. He’s got to get on the field. Maybe with a little more experience the 5* Ty will emerge.
  11. Is it really? His stats aren’t very impressive. and, as a senior, he’s had plenty of opportunities to prove himself.
  12. I don’t think Moore’s trip to LA is about getting some sunshine. He is reconsidering his options, especially since Dilly is gone and it looks like Bo MAY be coming back. He might start right away at UCLA. That and the opportunity to play several games closer to home may be too attractive to turn down.
  13. Wasn’t Williams the overwhelming favorite to win? That’s three Heisman’s for Lincoln Riley in the last six years. He obviously knows how to develop quarterbacks, and quickly. All three were transfers.
  14. You play this game to win…….not to showcase Bo, or to give Ty “meaningful” snaps with the one’s.
  15. Yes, it's San Diego and I am going. If you choose to go, make sure you sit on the Pac-12 side of the stadium. It's much closer to the field.
  16. I think Shaw would be a great choice.
  17. I expect him to leave. It makes sense. His stock will never be higher than it is right now.
  18. That play was a head scratcher. And incredibly risky, especially with snake bitten Ty in the game. All he had to do was hand the ball off and instead, it appeared to me, he did a 6 inch lateral instead. Was Ty in the game because, had Nix been in there, it would have been obvious, on that specific play, he would hand the ball off? And what a time to be cute……with your backs to your end zone.
  19. The previous comparisons to DAT on this forum were, as it turns out, wishful thinking. And I agree with David……where does he fit, considering the transfers who have gobbled up playing time, and have exceeded expectations? A transfer seems likely.
  20. Do you know something we don’t know?
  21. I agree on the burst…. But not on the vision. Dye’s instincts are phenomenal.
  22. When I read this I could tell something was up. Leaving it up to the player to say when he is ready to play just didn’t sound right. While Cardwell showed promise after an excellent freshman season, he does not have the lateral agility and quickness of either Bucky or Noah, both of whom can find the crease similar to the way Travis Dye did for the Ducks. I expect to see Cardwell transfer.
