Just Ducky

When cable first came out I can’t remember any commercials at the start. If you want things commercial free you have to pay extra on most sites that offer it. What a great deal, NOT!!!

Worst part for me about paying to watch TV is the commercials you are forced to watch while the players stand around on the field staring at each other. So you basically are paying twice to watch games. Drives me batcrap crazy.

I expect the Ducks to blow WSU out at home. Huge advantage being at home this weekend and the Ducks have better players. If the game is close then I will start to worry about this team. If not for coaching blunders the D hacks would be still undefeated and it’s on the coaching staff to never, I repeat, never let that happen again. The Ducks cover.

Some of these young coaches seem to treat 4th down like they are playing video games, Madden for instance. Not sure how to get that out of their heads.

One area is the middle of the field on passing downs. Our offense seems to be predictable with wide receiver screens, that hardly ever work, and not throwing intermediate passes to the middle of the field on slants. Maybe our slot guys don’t like the slant pattern very much and I doubt if I would either but we need to use the middle of the field more. Defenses seem to jam the box on short yardage plays and we don’t seem to take advantage of this. Tight ends are valuable assets but our coaching staff seems to ignore them for the most part. Guess I’m saying to the coaches to use the whole field. It’s there for the taking.

With the schedule Colorado has I don’t see any more than 1 more win.

The saddest part of all this is the kids played well enough to win by 2 scores. The coaches blew the game. Steins play calling was very poor in key situations and DL needs to take the points whenever he can get them. On the other side of the ball TL coached one hell of a game against a very good offense. If Penix wasn’t so unbelievably accurate we blow them out. Time to move on to WSU and win big at home. Go 🦆🦆🦆s

For me is, now that this game was lost, how will this team respond the rest of the way. Certainly there are no gimmies left on the schedule. Win out sounds good but it will not be easy.

There is really only one blame for this game. Coaches Stien and Lanning. Steins play calling on fourth down reminded me of why I hated MarinoOs coaching style. Where was the imagination of a good offensive coordinator. Washington new what we were going to call but we did it anyway. Always take the points on the road Always Always Always. Lanning that is on YOU. Our kids played their ARS off and coaching let them down No way should we have lost that game….😞

My problem is we are so aggressive on 4th down but our play calling was way to conservative. Doesn’t work in the nfl or ncaa. Confusing for sure. Deboer new what was coming and it showed.

espn is one of the group of sportswriters that are always looking for clicks. Take Colorado for instance who quite possibly win one more game but I doubt it.
