  1. I guess George might be without a job. Probably not his fault. The presidents of the pack ? Are to blame for hiring Scott and George wasn’t able to fix it. OH WELL!
  2. It’s obvious I’ve lived way too long. The schools west of Mississippi have been dealt a death blow. Never to be relevant again in college sports. We will live with horrible schedules and most road games will be a disaster. The powers of the league won’t send their flagship programs to get their butt whooped at Autzen or Lake Washington to go home with a loss in the near future. Whatever credibility our top 4 schools in the pack ? have learned over several generations now has to be re-earned. That will be a steep hill to climb for all involved down to the mascot. Maybe the Nike swoosh can save us because these are dark times my friends. OH IMHO
  3. I totally agree with you David and have this whole process. The Ducks will be fine, loosing the LA schools is undoubtedly a financial blow, but the Ducks will continue to roll without them. However, not being able to butt whip them will be a blow to all our psyche for sure. Colorado quite frankly was a joke. Colorado State had more viewers last season. Football isn’t the only sport for the Ducks and I enjoy watching all of them. Not getting a natty in football is not worth, for me anyway, loosing these non revenue sports. I’m a traditionalist and loosing the pack would not set well at my dinner table.
  4. People have paid big money to blue sky hopefuls for as long as I can remember in all sports. Once in a while you hit the jackpot but more often it’s a failure. From what I’ve seen so far he deserves the risk. Except for a couple bonehead plays last year he is 11 and 1 and possibly headed to the final four. With the kind of energy he brings to the program in Eugene how can we not make this investment. Hopefully he can take us to the promised land and get us in the show at least one more time. Definitely a risk worth taking.
  5. This can only help to recruit top notch pitching which we all know is the key to wining against the big boys.
  6. Can’t read the article. Colorado’s viewership was lower than all but one pack member last year. Colorado state earned more viewership. I realize prime time will move the needle a bit but it will eventually fall back after loosing most of their games this season. This move makes little to no sense unless they drag a quality pack team with them.
  7. Colorado has been swirling in their own poop pool for quite some time now. Poor leadership I guess.
  8. Dan has infectious energy that will resonate thru his assistants, the players, the boosters, and us fans. Agree that things can always go sideways but at this time I think it’s a great move by the university and and the powers that be. Gos
  9. Last years defense was extremely disappointing. Couldn’t stop the run or the pass and couldn’t get off the field on 3rd or 4th down. I expect to see a big improvement over last. Hoping for a top 2 defense in the pack and top 20 nationally.
  10. We can only hope with this front seven they can play on their toes instead of their heels as they did last season. The speed and size are there. Can that front seven corral the packs slippery QBs with all that speed and elusive ability most of them have. Can’t wait to find out.
  11. The only thing MC should be proud of at Oregon is being a liar, I guess that comes with football in Florida. Willy was the same guy. Although they recruited some high star guys very few lived up to their potential. We all want to bad mouth chip but his talent evaluation was as good as it gets. It seems crazy but chip talent valuation and coach up ability was the best Oregon has ever had, if DL is a close second then we have a winner. And will win a natty. Mc never will. Period.
  12. Miami may be under water soon in more ways than one.
  13. That’s why team leaders on both sides of the ball need to step in and discourage this type of behavior and also assistants can play a part in policing. If the head coach has to handle the situation then it has gotten totally out of control.
  14. What a wonderful problem to have. I also believe the same problem exists in the WR room. Be fun to watch it all come to a head this coming season. Keep our QBs healthy along with our skinny tight end room and this offense should put some hurt on pack 12 defenses. Don’t recall this much depth on an Oregon team, ever. Go s
  15. I know I’m repeating myself but if Williams goes down that will be the end of SC. Without him and his luck and heroics last season usuck looses or gets blown out of most of their games.
  16. Wow, I’d almost forgotten about Slick then this. My next 30 seconds is ruined.
  17. IMO usuck will be having 4 and 9 seasons and a new coach way before any upgrades will be completed. If Williams gets hurt it might be this year.
  18. Need an edge or 2 and we are in pretty good shape. I’m confident this staff will find what it needs to dominate the pack.in my mind a dominating front seven is what we need, actually what every team needs .
  19. There are so many things wrong with this I have no idea where to start. Quit watching golf and it looks like college sports could be next. it doesn’t happen.
  20. Is it just my imagination or has Alabama police always been in Sabin’s hip pocket. Also before Sabin.
  21. At one time I was a 5 star beer drinker. Today I’m probably a 1 star.
  22. I’m sure a lot of programs were turned off on Flowe because of his injury problems his whole career. If he can stay healthy, big if, he will help Zonas defense considerably.
  23. This guy has sales talent for sure. I’m buying until he is proven wrong. Whether or not any of these guys play much is going to be all about the coaches. If he is 20% correct that would be fantastic.
