  1. It's not going to be easy for either team. NFL-bound Utes returned in 2021 to complete unfinished business. Will they close the deal? (msn.com) Go Ducks
  2. Verbals, verbals verbals from 18 y.o. Just saying.
  3. Yogi and I agree, the game is 50% physical and 90% mental, or as Iron Mike would say, everyone has a plan until they get hit in the face. We need to throw the first punch and keep it up. If we can do that and let Utah know they are playing a completely different team, that will go a long way towards a W. If not, and Utah is playing the same team, OUCH. It would be interesting to see what NIL opportunities are available for the "Threepeat Pac 12 Champs" (Doesn't that have a nice ring to it)?
  4. Yes, never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
  5. AGREED: uw did not take a step forward in recruiting chops with their hire. So who in the North is a threat to cut into our recruiting? Whittingham at 62, might only have a couple of years left if rumors are true. I don't see Utah as a big time destination. ASU, how much longer is Herm going to be there? UCLA, Chip seat is like Helton has been for the last few years. AZ and Colorado are light years off. Stanford seems to have peaked and Cal is a dumpster fire.
  6. What we do know, is that there will be an impact. Will we lose some recruits that would have chosen us over a Helton U$C? Yes. Might more kids stay on the coast to compete against a deeper Pac 12, with a guaranteed playoff spot? Maybe, and if so, right now we would be that #2 spot, if not #1 depending upon the position. Do we have a roster advantage right now? Yes, so if it takes a bit for them to catch up, then some of the Riley/second coming luster may have fallen off. There is still an 85 scholarship limit, so there will not be any U$C monopoly on Pac 12 recruiting.
  7. 2 BIG THINGS.... Who is going to hire him, NO AD Who is he going to replace, THEY STILL HAVE A COACH.
  8. I think the guy's source must be Linda Tripp's brother.
  9. Pretty sure that was the only meeting in 2019
  10. You mean the 6 mil dive for $EC bucks?
  11. Let's not forget him getting that kid killed to photogragh practice from an unsafe tower on an abnormally windy day. Lost all respect for him that day.
  12. Hey Darren, how about a "spoiler alert" for those of us who have not seen the movie?
  13. Per the Canzano podcast with the Utah writer, Utah bought out the allotment quickly and is gobbling up the secondary market. Only a 6 hour drive to "24/7 heaven" from SLC.
  14. Lincoln Riley calls landing USC job 'surreal,' says leaving Oklahoma was tough but 'right thing' (espn.com)
  15. Solid hire (for all 12 schools in the conference), but more of a bloop single than the home run Cohen was promising just a week ago.
  16. So I guess Riley saw hand writing on the wall with OU going to SEC. Can you imagine the pressure that will be on Sark after this year AND going to the SEC in the near(?) future?
  17. Of course, part of that is not needing the same D as the first half, OSU surprising with a lot more run than expected, and playing prevent. Why were our "hands team" playing back 15 yds when an onsides was/should have been expected. Cheap lesson to learn from. And hopefully, we will see more onsides by the other teams.
  18. Agreed. However, in the future I am fine with a yesterday's type performance and a QB that can duplicate the way AB played, which should be quite doable. If not, big trouble.
  19. Can the Pac 12 still review it? I think in the past, the league office has reversed some targeting calls allowing the offending player to play the next week. Looked like targeting to me.
  20. It is the right time for the recruits, so they don't get a bait and switch.
