  1. Thanks for your take, David. Since my grandkids are all older than your daughter, I probably have a shorter disappointment curve than you. This is probably due to the fact that I have lived through more Duck disappointments. Yes, there was so much hope for this team. I chatted with Charles that I thought this might be the best all-around team ever fielded. So, as you implied, not playing up to their potential sucked and hurt. My funk is still lingering but wasn't as deep as in the past. I did not watch any games Saturday either; I just checked my espn app periodically for scores. After a Duck loss, I take solace when other people's teams screw-up and lose so that they can feel what I am feeling. Now, I will be on edge until ewe dub loses. I can't even bring myself to think they might not.
  2. Dang, I like getting ewe dub +4.5. But after winning Charles' pick 'em pool (I'm still sorry about that), I would never put money on them to win a game. MSN WWW.MSN.COM I'm sure JJ will chime in. I like: Ducks - 15.5 AZ - 3.5, Ok without Gabriel Utah -7.5, that Barnes showcase game L'ville - 7.5, boy does Riley need this one. N.D. - 10.5, I bet that line moves up as OSU must find a QB UCLA -2.5, at least they have a QB Cal +2.5 as long as Slough isn't playing
  3. I guess this will be the last HALF of college ball we see him play.
  4. Don't worry Charles, I keeping receipts P.S. The other Stephen A uses a "ph", instead of the proper "v".
  5. If anyone is going and prices are jacked. What I have done in the past is book a "park, sleep and fly" room separately for each night I want to stay even if I am driving to the game. Seems there are rooms that are reserved for this type of booking and I found them up to 1/2 the price of staying one or two nights. Go Ducks (of the future).
  6. That's "Steven A" to you (dont' want you get another Steven on your bad side)
  7. Sorry, Sorry, Sorry I saw everyone above me picking the Ducks, the Devil on my shoulder/former attorney training to win-at-all-costs kicked in. BTW, here was my pick: "ewe dub wins. 36 - 33 (guess what Bill Murray movie I just watched [again and again]) I looked above and no one has picked them, so this pick is my third to last chance to win the Mega Millions Jackpot prize which Charles is putting up this week since the game is in Vegas. Of course, ewe dubs chances of winning are the same as me winning the Mega Millions or Charles actually putting up such a prize. Go Ducks, I "double dog" dare you to prove me wrong." As I stated above "my third to last chance to win", I was definitely planning on a Ducks win, plus a win in the semis. P.S. 8. You mean there are some games today! My flag stays out all day, and not at half-mast. As always, GO DUCKS.
  9. That is what makes this loss somewhat palatable. The coaches will need to learn why. Of course Penix, Odunze, Polk and McMillian had a lot to do with that. As stated above, recruiting will keep us in the hunt in the future.
  10. Silver lining, we weren't 12 - 0 going into the game. I think the onside was the right call. Two first downs wins it no matter where they are on the field.
  11. Let's see: 1) Who won the first Pac 12 championship? It wasn't ewe dub. 2) Who is the only team to go 0 - 12 in Pac 12 play? It was ewe dub. 3) Who is the only team to go 12 - 0 in Pac 12 play? (that makes them a .500 team in my mind) 4) Who is going to win the last Pac 12 championship? See No. 1 above. Go Ducks.
  12. Beach Volleyball and "club" rowing. Interesting in regard to a club sport suing. MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  13. Well played (said). Although, I don't blame them for suing, we'd do the same. Seems Gordon Gekko works for both sides . . . Beavs and Cougs are afraid the 12 will run off with all the money and vice versa.
  14. I say schedule them. Keep beating them into submission and make some money doing it.
  15. Being outcoached is relative. Not making mistakes while your opposition gambles and loses is being out coached by basically doing nothing. Last year, the injury to Bo was the difference. The reason he was injured was Dillingham going to the well one time too many as we ran the same play and it worked for a TD the first time, second time the LB was waiting for it. That is being out coached DC vs OC. One thing in the game this year that I think is overlooked is DeBoer going for the 2-point conversion. They make it by about an inch with Dorius just missing batting the ball down. It then snowballed when Dan went for the TD at the half. If they had missed the xp and only lead 20 - 18, Dan surely would have opted for the FG at the half for a 1-point lead. That gamble was successful for them and not us. Later, they we stuffed 4th and goal which could have put the game away. That gamble didn't work for them as we later took the lead.

  19. Interesting article.
