  1. Washington has a potent offense. They’re scary this year and I’m sure they’re getting sick and tired of losing to the Ducks. They’ll be plenty motivated.
  2. Here’s a quote from Hugh Freeze. “I don’t know that Auburn wants me. I have no clue,” Freeze told 247Sports. “I know this: I have won everywhere I’ve been and my staff and kids have turned programs fast. It’s our culture that we instill. I know we do that and the proof is in the pudding.” Read into his response what you will, but he sounds like a guy who is looking to move up.
  3. This says it all about The U. Their fans hit harder than their defense.
  4. Let us all take a short break to remember that Mario was 3-0 against the Fuskies. Okay, now back to how much Miami sucks.
  5. It could be worse. You could live in the Panthers market. I have the NFL channel (it comes as part of the sports package I get solely for the PAC 12 channel) so I can catch glimpses of the Duck Bowl on their Gameday Live broadcast.
  6. Not too mean, but I believe it’s bad karma unless it’s the backups doing the scoring in the 4th quarter. Chris Peterson lost a lot of respect for rubbing the Ducks beaks in the dirt. Most of us will be forever grateful to MC for never losing to them. Of course, he had his own motivation for his Fuskie hatred. How dare they try to share a national championship with his ‘90 Hurricanes team.
  7. The next two games should sell out, but I expect to see a lot of purple in the stands next week and red the following week. I think the most embarrassing games were Tennessee in 2013 and Nebraska in 2017. Those were easily 30-35% visiting fans. Good thing they just came to Eugene to see their teams lose.
  8. It seems appropriate to post this meme again.
  9. There’s a kid down in South Florida named Tyler who is stuck in a bad offense. He might see Bo’s transformation as something that could work for him. I also hear that he likes to play in front of enthusiastic fans.
  10. The two big front runners laid eggs yesterday, so Bo might move up a bit.
  11. I would not be the least bit surprised if the committee just bumped LSU and Ole Miss ahead of Oregon and USC and bumped us both back to 9 and 10. I think it could look like this. 1. UGA 2. Michigan 3. An Ohio college 4. Tennessee 5. LSU 6. Ole Miss (Bama needs a big win next week to make LSU’s win over them look even more spectacular). 7. Bama 8. TCU 9. Oregon 10. USC
  12. After watching that UGA defense yesterday, I wouldn’t want to face them again. Oregon’s offense is really good, but so is Tennessee’s and they couldn’t muster a TD until garbage time. It’s not like they started sucking yesterday. They got the Dawg treatment. That’s the best open field tackling I’ve ever seen at the college level.
  13. Joe Brady wouldn’t improve that offense one bit. The OC and the scheme isn’t the problem down there.
  14. This just means USC is back to being the darlings of the West Coast.
  15. Now Bama, Clemson and Notre Dame will be ranked ahead of the Ducks. Win by 39 and drop to 9th.
  16. Clemson is done. Out of the playoff. Thank goodness Notre Dame has 3 losses or the committee would try to put them in the Final 4. They still might.
  17. Trey Benson is running well against his former head coach.
  18. UGA is the class of the nation so far. Of course, things could change in a neutral field.
  19. Yes. I was there. It was the Zen bow that negated that sack and led to a TD for Arizona.
  20. Here’s how college football works now. If a team who isn’t supposed to be competing for championships starts competing for championships then those who think they should be competing for championships (but aren’t currently competing for championships) will spend buttloads of $$$ to poach their coach so that they can then…compete for championships. However, if the championship caliber teams who aren’t supposed to be competing for championships want to continue competing for championships then they must also spend buttloads of $$$ to keep their coach from getting poached by those who think that they should be competing for championships (but aren’t currently competing for championships).
  21. I love this rivalry. My buddy from around the corner has a daughter currently at CCU and she is one of the sideline photographers. His oldest son graduated from App St. so there is a nice family rivalry. My daughter wants to go to App, so we took her up there last year for a game. It’s a beautiful campus with a great vibe. The only thing that sucks is they always play each other during the week.
  22. I know we have the contest for the Oregon vs. Colorado game, but I think it would be interesting to see what you all think about the other games of significance. I’ve only chosen 4 different games because they’re either significant to us as Duck fans or the national rankings. Here are the 4 match-ups with my picks. UGA vs. Tennessee - I have UGA. They’re at home and the Vols haven’t played a defense like theirs yet. LSU vs. Bama - The Tide wins big despite playing in BR. Saban will thoroughly out-coach Brian Kelly. Miami vs. FSU - Hard Rock will be filled with garnet and gold. However, MC will jump all over the Noles and have them right where he wants them……then blow it. Fuskies vs. Beavis - Fuskies haven’t lost at home. It’s going to stay that way after tomorrow night.
  23. I think if Dillingham stays then he’ll be a lock to stick with Oregon. If he gets hired away then Moore might be a little more open to suggestion.
