Complete Failure in Leadership
I remember threads on this board several months back talking about how the Pac 12 presidents thought of the conference more as their private yacht club instead of a billion dollar business. Now that the yachts are sinking, how will that fine wine and cheese taste paddling around in their dinghies? Failure of leadership indeed.

Not so fast UCLA...
Pass the popcorn. This should get interesting.

UO + Lanning + SEC = $$$
Agreed. It makes me sick also.

UO + Lanning + SEC = $$$
The more I digest this latest news, the more moving to the SEC seems to be the biggest win for all involved. For the SEC, they would match The BIG's expanded Pacific coast reach and bring in one of the biggest national brands. This would be a revenue bonus instead of a drain. For the UO, having an SEC affiliation would keep them at the front of the line with 4/5 star SoCal talent and keep them nationally relevant. To entice the SEC, UO should immediately go all in on Lanning and double his pay putting him up at SEC levels. They should also begin plans for expanding Autzen to 70,000+ capacity. Regularly bringing in Alabama and LSU et al would justify the expense. What ever the costs involved with travel, pay raises and stadium upgrades, it would be more than offset by the increased revenue involved with SEC affiliation. By putting Lanning on par with his fellow upper level SEC coaches, there won't be a need for him to move on to greener pastures. Joining the SEC would also put Lanning right in his wheel house of recruiting five star SEC talent. Also, five star SEC type kids wouldn't have to leave the SEC to play for the UO. This is truly a go big or go home moment. I hope the UO is up for the challenge.

Pac 12 on Life Support and Larry Scott Put it There
UO and Miami both joining the SEC would sure make things interesting.

USC, UCLA Looking to Leave Pac-12 for Big Ten in 2024
This just may be the kick in the pants the Ducks need to take some bold steps they wouldn't take otherwise.

5-Star Mookie Cook Decommits from Ducks Basketball
Until I see a five star hooper actually do something for the Ducks, I'm not going to care about losing them. I'd take a solid three/ four year four star over a five star one and done any day.

USC, UCLA Looking to Leave Pac-12 for Big Ten in 2024
What if Ducks, UU, CU and AZ schools join Big 12? UO still rules the west coast, still the top dog in a conference and now expands their footprint into Texas and east coast.

Huskies: 'Only Because of Phil Knight and NIL'
I'm pretty sure Eastern Washington would take Montana so maybe 3rd place in the state is a better spot for the fuskies.

Coach Dillingham Has a Reminder to ALL Offensive Line Recruits...
I’m sure Mario is searching in his junk drawer right now for his Euro League bling.

Is Bo Nix Winning the Heisman a Total Pipe Dream?
Just the thought of a Duck in the Heisman conversation the year after Mario leaves would be good enough for me.

5-Star Hoopster Dior Johnson Decommits
Confident enough to believe he's a one and done NBA first round pick. Not confident enough to believe he can win the starting position against a guy that didn't project to be drafted.

Pritchard Solid as Celts Take Game 1
I totally forgot about Wooten which ironically, is the point of my post!

Pritchard Solid as Celts Take Game 1
UO's NBA Seniors: Prichard, Boucher, Duarte UO one and dones: Brown, King, Bol UO leave early: Dorsey, Bell and Brooks (after receiving Pac 12 player of the Year) See a pattern?

Huffing Huskies: 'Washington is NOT Headed Down!'
I actually want the thank Fusky fans for keeping this hammer vs nail “rivalry“ interesting.

Ducks Break the House?
Mario’s game plan on both sides of the ball seemed to be based on a conservative play not to lose philosophy. This would be appropriate for an under dog team just trying to keep it close into the fourth quarter. Lanning seems to embrace a pedal to the metal philosophy that trusts his play makers to make plays. I think Lanning’s mentality fits this roster much better and I think that makes the Ducks far more dangerous than the odds makers predict.

Is it Really a Question? Who do You Want the Ducks to Beat More, the Huskies or the Beavers?
Luckily, we rarely have to choose.

Athlon Sports Says Utah Will Be 2022 Pac-12 Champions?
Until USC and UO walk some walk on the field, you have to go with Utah as the favorites for now. I think the Utes will be even better next year but I also think the same for the Ducks. I have a believe it when I see it attitude with USC as it seems there has been way to much hype generated about them so far.

I'm Getting a Serious Man-Crush on Coach Locklyn...
Locklyn was the one hire I saw as a head scratcher at first do to his lack of experience. After listening to him speak and hearing how players think of him, he now seems like one of the best hires on the staff. It may take this team a year to gel and for the coaching staff to adjust to their new roles but they may also storm right out the gate as a top five team and coaches like Locklyn are the reason why.

Believe it? USC is Now on Par with the SEC
I hear USC is bypassing joining the SEC and is joining the AFC West instead. Get your Super Bowl Championship parade tickets now before there gone!

Wanna Bet Oregon Wins The Pac-12?
I'm torn between wanting to beat SC in the championship and wanting to see them face plant out of the gate.

Mr. FishDuck: Explosion Plays, Fast-Tempo, 80+ Plays…Do You Believe It?
At first, I bought into Mario’s tough talk offensive philosophy as I thought that was what we needed to compete with the Stanford’s and SEC elite at the time. After it devolved into the Lombardi Ball red rover offense, I was off the bandwagon. I think Mario’s fatal flaw is the need for total control. He is more comfortable with slowly but surely and predictability over taking risks. He doesn’t trust his play makers to just go out there and make plays on either side of the ball. Conversely, that’s what Lanning seems to be all about. I don’t care about lightning quick offense. I just want to see a coach that trusts his four and five star players to make four and five star plays.

USC Site: Addison Would Make Trojans Favorites in Pac-12
Seems like USuCk and the fuskies have been battling each other for supremacy in the Delirium Bowl forever.

Ducks, Pac-12 Flop in Draft
On the bright side, the players must be stoked trading in a coach that had one guy drafted for a coach that had eight drafted from his D alone. i’m sure that will give DL the credibility to get everyone to buy into his get better every day philosophy.
