  1. Last I heard, they where convinced that they are about take control of the Pac 12 while the UO is in a tailspin stuck with a D coordinator as coach. I don't expect that to change till the alarm clock once again shatters the dream come September.
  2. Wow. I think what we saw last night was a portal opening up at UO's doorstep.
  3. I'd love Dye back but if the iron's hot in the NFL, I'd say go for it. Next year he won't be required to literally drag a stagnant offense from one first down to the next which will lower his production and amount of highlights. Thanks to Mario's 1960's view of offense, defenses just stacked the box and waited for Dye to get the ball. Even then, he couldn't be stopped so in a weird way, this year became the perfect highlight real for him.
  4. We can call him whatever as long as we get to say YES!!! a lot.
  5. Hurray! The annual Fusky delusion about next year has already begun! I find it about as entertaining as watching footage from the running of the bulls. Their team is 2-15 against the Ducks and program savior, Coach Peterson provided the glory years with a whopping 2-5 against the Ducks. But never let reality interfere with a nice swim in the river of denial. Yes the UO's desperate grab at a mere coordinator is surely to go down in flames. Let's just ignore the fact that his D held it's entire schedule of SEC opponents to 6.9 points per game. We'll also ignore holding ACC light weight Clemson to 3 as they are not a powerhouse like mighty Montana. Bringing in revolutionary thinkers on both sides of the ball along with some of the best recruiters and position coaches in the country is a recipe for disaster. Looks like the Ducks era of Pac 12 domination is over. The Fuskies have spoken!
  6. Let's face it people, as much as I hate to admit it, we need the Pac to have as much national cred as possible. Unfortunately, that requires a ranked USC.
  7. What I read was a lot of Texans venting frustration and scapegoating a coach rather than face the fact that their reign of dominance is over. I have no opinion on him either way at this point but it does seam like the D hires are more impressive than those on the O but what do i know?
  8. I'm sure this was at the heart of the conversation Lanning had with Seven to bring him back into the flock.
  9. With one year of RB coaching and most of his time at high school, Lanning may want to take up LeMike's offer at least as a consultant.
  10. Projected as a third or fourth round pick. Yes. I'd definitely talk with Lanning about that decision first.
  11. In hindsight maybe taking up the offer to coach the game by the winningest coach in UO history would have been a good idea.
  12. On the bright side, the Lanning era is only thirty minutes away.
  13. AB gives us the best chance to drink heavily.
  14. A thrown behind int and a drive killing penalty. I think we've found the Ducks identity.
  15. Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue.
  16. Probably the all time leader in yards after contact.
  17. I've some how become a new fan of FSU who are also attempting a resurrection in the sunshine state. Seems like whichever team gets on their feet first may swing the recruiting momentum for good. Of course if they both fall flat on their faces, that also works for me.
  18. Ducks 34-31 3 3 285 Ducks O comes alive with passing of the guard at QB which wakes up the D in a come from behind victory!
  19. I think the biggest problem that the bowls have is that the games just don't really matter. Look at how many players come out of nowhere and become house hold names in just a few games/ weeks during March Madness. In that environment, you get to see who is just sleep walking while accumulating stats and who are the real team leaders that push their teams to victory. I think it's in everybody's best interest to have a Sweet Sixteen playoff tournament that show cases what players can do when it really matters. A couple more NIT levels of playoffs would also help showcase the talents of many more players not on elite teams. It just seems like this would benefit everybody from players to Universities, media, bowl venues and the NFL. I don't see why this hasn't already been done yesterday.
  20. This guy was born to strut the beach in a thong!
  21. Great news! Portal, recruiting and coaching updates are my favorite topics on OBD. It feels like the portal guys are using it for some one on one time with the new coach. Let's see if DJ James is next.
  22. As much as I hate all things SEC, a UGA thumping of UM is a win for the Ducks so go Fighting Lannings!
  23. Is this that sneaky blitz Lanning has them bulldogs running?
