  1. I’m a green and yellow guy myself. I’m also on the north side of fifty and understand that I’m not the target audience.
  2. I hear USC is bypassing joining the SEC and is joining the AFC West instead. Get your Super Bowl Championship parade tickets now before there gone!
  3. I'm torn between wanting to beat SC in the championship and wanting to see them face plant out of the gate.
  4. At first, I bought into Mario’s tough talk offensive philosophy as I thought that was what we needed to compete with the Stanford’s and SEC elite at the time. After it devolved into the Lombardi Ball red rover offense, I was off the bandwagon. I think Mario’s fatal flaw is the need for total control. He is more comfortable with slowly but surely and predictability over taking risks. He doesn’t trust his play makers to just go out there and make plays on either side of the ball. Conversely, that’s what Lanning seems to be all about. I don’t care about lightning quick offense. I just want to see a coach that trusts his four and five star players to make four and five star plays.
  5. Seems like USuCk and the fuskies have been battling each other for supremacy in the Delirium Bowl forever.
  6. On the bright side, the players must be stoked trading in a coach that had one guy drafted for a coach that had eight drafted from his D alone. i’m sure that will give DL the credibility to get everyone to buy into his get better every day philosophy.
  7. Physicality = I have no idea what actual coaching is.
  8. I'm copying my response from a similar thread as I feel it applies even better to this one. Receivers leaving early with hardly any stats is ridiculous. So is D players leaving early when UO was nearly dead last in third down stops in the country along with many other bad numbers. KT had the national hype but I think the others may have had friend and family hype which is not the same thing. One year with the Lanning staff would have help everybody. Live and learn.

  10. KT telling fellow five stars that UO is better for your long term future than Alabama may be the best sack he ever had!
  11. My Maserati does 185. I lost my license now I don't drive.
  12. I would not be surprised to see Cyrus Moss showing up via the portal next year.
  13. With five 1st rounders from the D coached by Lanning coupled with three straight top 10 selections by UO, I'd say the five star train has the "green" light to enter the station.
  14. Miami mid season report: Not enough physicality. Solution: More physicality.
  15. Being third or forth string is still better than being no string at all.
  16. First, I think we may want to pump the brakes a bit on concerning observations. Thirteen practices with an entirely new coaching staff, playbook, and techniques to relearn philosophy to embrace, that, a lot to absorb in such a short time. Just being in the right position, using the right communication and techniques and making the right reads is a lot to ask in so little time. Also factor in the crew coaching staff learning on the fly how to mesh all their styles together. Overall I was impressed. Offensive observations: Seven looks special. I saw a lot of "IT" in that guy all day long. Butterfield looks like he's ready to be the 1 B guy. Whittington at RB looks like he'll be getting some good reps early. Cota Also looks ready for playing time but the receiver group as a whole looks very solid. Defensive observations: DJ is ready for prime time The DBs caused a lot of havoc disrupting catches and stealing interceptions. Liked that. Quite a few sacks in this game. The D may have looked even more impressive if it were a live game. Special teams props for those two 60+ yard punts. Overall I liked what I saw. Lanning now has tape and three months to get get ready for the season. From everything I've seen from this guy so far, I'm sure he'll have the team ready.
  17. physicality = hit the other guy harder regardless of technique or game plan. also physicality = needless practice injuries
  18. Mario was a back up on a college champion before playing in Europe. Klemm was a grown a** man collecting super bowl rings. Let's not forget that.
  19. Guaranteed starting position = not a very good team.
  20. This should make AnM happy getting an early season top 25 win.
  21. If they want to put a great product on the field and have fun, they should just set up some giant screens and show the Ducks spring game.
  22. I don't care if the Spring game is sloppy with guys running into each other and confused. With an entirely new system, that's to be expected. I just want to see the new style of offense and defense in motion. No more 2 yard passes on third and eight on offense. No more soft pass coverage on third and eight on defense. Players out there making plays not just playing it safe. Let the Lanning era begin!
  23. I'll be there. I am SO stoked to see the Lanning era get underway.
