  1. Explosion on offense + havoc on defense = happy fans in the stands.

  3. Wow. Great interview. I hope the Ducks have a good contractor on speed dial because there's going to be a lot of walls run through over there.
  4. I think this would be great moment to give a shout out to the great UGA fans out there giving props to Lanning after he moved on to the Ducks. Instead of being resentful, they are cheering him on in his new coaching gig. This is what happens when high character people go about doing things the right way. He could have jumped ship as soon as the ink was dry on his UO contract but he did the right and very difficult thing of staying until the championship was won making both fan bases proud. I wish UGA and their fans good luck in defending their title and look forward to a great game next year. No matter what the outcome the Dawgs will now be my new non Duck favorite team. And no I'm not talking about those fuskies!
  5. Great article. I think what we're seeing in Lanning is what I refer to as the difference between learning and knowing. Knowing is a dead end trap. When a person "knows" what they're doing, that is where they stop learning. That is where there knowledge about a subject comes to an end because once you "know " it, there's nothing left to learn. Learning is an endless fountain of knowledge being accumulated because there is no stopping point. Learning only stops when people think they know it all. And "know it alls" come of as conceited with a superiority complex. I'd say Mario fits into this category. Learners never get there but are on a life long journey of constantly getting better. They tend to be humble and down to earth even when there skills go off the charts. Guys like Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee fall into this group. I'd say Lanning does as well.
  6. Guys heading to Miami for spring break is about as unusual as guys heading home to LA for the holidays.
  7. Maybe Riley's pitch of come watch golf with me in my bling palace needs a little work.
  8. Everyday I try to come back down to earth with my expectations for this team and everyday I'm given another reason not to.
  9. Looks like she's joining Sabrina in NYC Oregon forward Nyara Sabally selected fifth overall by New York Liberty in 2022 WNBA Draft 247SPORTS.COM Oregon forward Nyara Sabally selected fifth overall by New York Liberty in 2022 WNBA Draft
  10. Love watching these green and yellow dominoes fall perfectly into place.
  11. Dye did his best Earl Campbell impersonation in Mario's Lombardi ball offense. Just as DAT or James would have struggled being expected to pound it inside over and over again, Dye may have struggled with an up tempo turn the corner and run for daylight type of scheme.
  12. I'll have a cup of fusky tears please. Extra Large!
  13. You’d think with all that academic prowess, USuCk and fusky fans would have a clue who’s been at the top of the PAC 12 the past twenty years!
  14. UO’s entire linebacker crew must of felt like they woke up in heaven when Lanning came to town. I can not wait to see this D going pedal to the metal on 3 rd down. Too bad KT is gone this year. He’d probably have twenty sacks and go number one overall if he stayed.
  15. Nice to know that as Duck fans begin to bond with UGA fans, we now have a common fusky enemy.
  16. After four years of watching the Maserati used to pull out stumps in the back forty, it will be great to see what it can do on the autobahn.
  17. For upper level guys ( potential first round picks), NIL should be the last priority. For them the money will come soon anyway. What should be a priority is the amount of top quality training you can get before turning pro. It looks like half of Lanning’s UGA D is heading towards first round picks. That equates to a much higher paycheck in the NFL than any NIL deal they’ll get in college.
  18. More March sanity in Beaver nation.
  19. In the Pete Carrol glory years, USC was a whopping 4-2 vs the Ducks. In the Chris Peterson glory years, the Fuskies where a whopping 2-5 vs the Ducks. The Ducks will be just fine no matter what their rivals do.
  20. I did some quick interweb research and it looks like Bigby was ranked anywhere between 24-29 with some rankings putting her at five star.
  21. Don’t want to disparage the lady athletes but EOfan said it well. I second this comment. What I’d like to know is what was up with Taylor Bigby this year? Was she injured? I read that she was another real deal five star but didn’t see her at all.
  22. Bidding wars= Players telling coaches what to do = no thanks There’s plenty of players out there that just want to hit someone real hard and will gladly do it for the Ducks. Sign them up and pass on the bidding war guys.
  23. Travis was one of the best true warriors to ever put on a Duck uniform. I will never have a negative thought about the guy. He was the perfect Lombardi style back for Mario’s Lombardi style offense. How many times did he shake off a defender in the back field, power through another defender at the line of scrimmage then drag another for a five yard gain? He may have seen his fit being less than ideal for the new wide open style offense coming in which may have contributed to his looking elsewhere and I can’t really blame him. I see his joining USC more as going home and not going to a rival but that’s just me.
  24. One thing I’ve seen Lanning mention repeatedly is his excitement about the Nike based NIL opportunities at the UO. Being the way ahead of the curve innovator that he is, it may be a good idea for him to lead the path forward for the UO’s NIL education program. That alone could keep the entire Duck machine ahead of the curve.
