  1. One other positive about last Saturday is that we didn't open up against BSU. Hopefully, the punch OBD took from Idaho was the wakeup call we needed. After once again drinking the kool-aid, I sure hope this is the case.
  2. After Saturday's performance, I think that is generous. But hopefully, we'll see a different team against BSU.
  3. I am not a fan of plagiarism, but I'm going to steal this
  4. I'm just a very small and spiteful man. Hopefully, I can one day do better.
  5. 3 punts for the game is pretty reasonable.
  6. Check down or not, not too shabby for his first game.
  7. I have no idea what kind of team we actually have. But here is what I do know: Dillon Gabriel is a monster. 40/47 - 85% pass completion - 372 yards - 2 TDs - 0 picks
  8. #11 Idaho is giving us a good run for our money.
  9. This is really a bizarre game. If you take a look at the stats, we have absolutely dominated them in all key categories. But I suppose, that is why the game is actually played on the field.
  10. I like your sense of humor
  11. Sad, but we had to. Right now it's just about living to fight another day. We're getting laughed at right now.
  12. Sadly, if we don't punch it in on this third down play, I think we need to take the three points. Right now, I'm just looking to protect the W and live to fight another day.
  13. And we're 60% on our third down conversions. What a weird game.
  14. I've got to say... I didn't realize Idaho was a Top-10 team.
  15. First Half Gabriel: 23-27, 245 yards, 1 TD The problem is anything but Gabriel.
  16. I just looked and 296 first half yards surprised me. Very impressive. Dillion is 23-27, 245 yards, 1 TD. Highly impressive.
  17. "First game jitters" I'll buy that line of thinking if we come out in the second half and play ball.
  18. What a seriously unexpected, underwhelming, and unimpressive 1st half. Scary that we're playing Idaho and we look like this. Hopefully, the second half will look like the team we were expecting.
  19. Yeah... we got so screwed on that. While Nebraska went on to be a pathetic joke in that game and got throttled.
  20. I will never-ever forget the first play that he called as Oregon's head coach. San Antonio Bowl, and BEFORE the game had even started, dude calls a time out. Both of my sons turned to me and in unison grunted, "Uh-Oh." Truer grunting had never been spoken.
  21. Today, Georgia momentarily gave me PTSD flashbacks to a 49-3 day not that long ago.
  22. If I was an OU fan, while I like the final score last night, I'd be a bit concerned about only converting 1-12 third downs. Against a real team that doesn't turnover the ball 6 times, it will be interesting to see how they do.
  23. I texted the following to my adult sons earlier today: "So... #19 Miami plays @ unranked Florida today at 12:30 (on ABC). Guys - I'm having a bit of a personal dilemma as I'm wondering if the following makes me a very small and/or spiteful person: I 100% root for Mario & Miami to lose every game he coaches. His team winning or losing has absolutely no impact whatsoever on my life. But I just find such joy every time he loses. His losing is only made better when he makes decisions that directly cause his team to lose. Thus, the dilemma and the question: Is this wrong? This may be an abstruse philosophical question for the ages . Or, perhaps, I am just simply a spiteful man. Regardless, GO DUCKS!"
  24. As you point out, they still look lethal. And even with their top 2 RBs out, their rushing game still looks amazing. 165 yards - Avg 6.3 per carry - 7 guys getting a touch. I'm not sure Geogia has 2nd & 3rd string players. I think they just have "other studs."
  25. Wow... great call on this one. I think Georgia might be decent this year
