  1. One thing that amazes me is that we made a lot of significant mistakes in that game. And yet, we were still able to pull off the win against a Top 5 team. When we look at the week-by-week improvement that OBD have accomplished since that frightful day on August 31st, if this continues as we all believe it will, they are about to become scary good. And a massively huge props to our Oregon fans last night. Relentless does not even begin to describe it. The wearing effect that you all had on tOSU, and their fans, was just off the charts exceptional. I'd suggest the our fans were worth 6 points last night. Just amazing.
  2. I think in this kind of a game, in that situation, you either go for it, or go home. Although you are definitely right regarding the win certainly moving that decision to the background a bit. Had we lost, we absolutely would have been talking about it a lot more.
  3. Ummm... yes. I'd have to agree with you. 23/34 - 67% 341 yards passing 32 yards rushing - avg 8 YPC 2 passing TDs. 1 running TD 0 picks
  4. Ryan Day is doing all he can to stay away from all mirrors. I almost feel sorry for the guy. Over the last 3 seasons, the dude totally chokes in the biggest games: a) Michigan x2 b) Missouri in the Cotton c) Georgia in the Peach d) Oh yeah, and lest I forget, OREGON IN THE AUTZEN! Cry it out, Ryan.
  5. In the last decade (10 seasons... 2015-2024), we're 2-0 against tOSU. I can't imagine how badly that must suck for those whiney OSU fans.
  6. This is one tough & resilient kid. I think we're all glad to see him having this success.
  7. "Chestnuts & Buckeye nuts roasting on an open fire..." I'm suddenly feeling in the Christmas Carol singing mood.
  8. I'm sorry... I can't quite hear you this morning. What'd you say? 🤪😅
  9. Absolutely. Yesterday, B1G Championship, and the Playoffs. That would be nuts. Thankfully, we just won Round One!
  10. So damn funny. We've got next level coaching, and next level fan signage! I nearly spit my coffee out laughing when I saw that yesterday morning on GameDay.
  11. But in the end, Herbie may be right: Ducks win the National Championship.
  12. "Coach Lanning said, in his post game press conference, that the kickoff that hit the Ohio State player was intentional. If it missed, it would have been a squib kick. I've never seen that." Keep in mind that OSU had incurred a 15-yard penalty on the previous play which was going to be assessed after they got the ball. So, even if they did recover the squib on their own 40, after the penalty, they would have been on their 25-yard line. Rather low risk, with high reward potential. And my goodness, did it pay off or what! IMHO, I would say that is some rather next level coaching stuff going on right there.
  13. I'm not convinced. The 5 yard penalty put OSU on the 38, making that a 55 yard field goal attempt -- which is in range for their FG kicker. 6 seconds gave them enough time for them to have attempted a quick slant route to pick up another 5 to 10 yards to shorten the FG attempt. While I'd like to believe the 12 men on the field was deliberate, I'm going to need to hear one of our coaches say it was... like Lanning did on our awesome kickoff play. I think OSU just melted at the end and the QB finally made a bone head play.
  14. I'm not sure on this one, but you certainly could be right. That's a lot of CPU processing in a very tight window. But if he did deliberately do it, that's some rather genius stuff right there. What I do know for certain is that kick-off play where our kicker drilled the OSU player was absolutely deliberate. Lanning, knowing that we had a 15 yard penalty on OSU to enforce, decided to go for the semi-onside kick. Even if OSU recovered the ball on say their own 40, after the 15 yards was enforced, they'd be on their own 25. No big loss or deal. When I watched the play, I thought the whole thing was a mistaken kick. This decision making process seems like some next level coaching to me.
  15. In the last decade, we are now 2-0 against Ohio State. Yep... there's a new sheriff in town and he goes by the name, "Duck"
  16. That kickoff play where we drilled the OSU player was deliberate. I can't believe the call, but we had the 15 yard penalty on OSU from the previous play so Lanning decided to go for it. So even if OSU recovered it on the 40, they would have ended up on the 25. Crazy, genius, massive big coconuts call!
  17. So many Duck mistakes, and yet we're leading by 1. Just amazing. GO DUCKS!
  18. Going for two made sense to me. Unfortunately, it was not well executed.
  19. That was simple shameful. What an embarrassment for the program.
  20. We got totally "Miami'd" on that no call.
  21. With those ACC refs, Miami provides an entirely new meaning to the term "12th Man."
  22. If this keeps up, Kalen DeBoer is going to be looking for another job soon.
  23. Please tell me that we didn't actually agree to sell 41% of our seats to the Bucks.
  24. This is also excellent advice when singing opera. 😉
  25. Great point about rolling the newspaper into a megaphone. It makes a serious impact in directing the sound straight down to the field.
