What If Caleb Came To Oregon?
You're absolutely right that Williams will be drafted as one of the top five picks. However, if I am an NFL GM, and while I would have to pick him, I'm still concerned about his mental ability to lead. Over the past 100 years, USC has only had 4 seasons where they went 1-5 in their last 6 games. One of these 1-5 season ending meltdowns is this year. Williams certainly has the talent to be a Hall of Fame NFL quarterback. But I'm just not quite sold on him yet.

Some Favorite Beaver Memories?
I ended up going to this game with my grade school friend's father. He is a great guy and it's such a fond memory. In fact, you've reminded me that I need to reach out to him and say hello. Not to mention that it was just one heluva game for all of the reasons you mentioned and more. But Masoli trucking that Beaver over and into tomorrow, is still the one that jumps out to me the most.

Okay... that's just awesome right there. 😆 And yes, I miss him too.

Will the Oregon Ducks Face Michigan in the Rose Bowl?
Uh-oh... The conflict is strong in this one 😉 I don't mean to be assumptive, but by looking at your OBD board name, it appears that you are a Canadian Duck who may be struggling with subconscious, or perhaps, semi-conscious Beaver tendencies. Plus, depending on your lineage, there could be some latent genetic Beaver DNA factors as well. Consequently, your pre-programmed psyche-protective apparatus (i.e., such Freudian psychological defenses as dissociation, denial, displacement, or projection) is attempting to intervene to allow you to temporarily alleviate your intolerable distress. And it should be added that these defenses reside in your unconscious mind, which is another way of saying... gawd forbid, that you might be a mentally repressed Beaver. Sadly, according to DSM-5 Mental Disorders, there is no known cure for this disfunction... but 12-Step programs have helped many. May the Duck Force of goodness & light be with you.

What If Caleb Came To Oregon?
Lol... got it now. Sorry, but as I've said before, I can be a bit slow at times 😀

What If Caleb Came To Oregon?
My first thoughts were, 'No,' followed closely by, 'Hell No.' And then, I allowed myself to entertain the thought a bit, but I immediately started to realize that I was hearing hot Greek Sirens singing/crying out to me from somewhere off the coast of Naples, or maybe it was Catalina Island. But I slightly digress... My best suggestion regarding Williams is that we follow the lead of Odysseus, stuff serious loads of wax in our ears, followed by tying ourselves to the flagpole outside of Autzen Stadium. So, I guess if I bottom-line it, Williams is a hard no for me.

What If Caleb Came To Oregon?
With Bo, I don't recall hearing concerns about his emotional stability, need to leap into the stands and into his mommy's lap crying after a big loss, or painting his lovely fingernails. But if by similar you mean that they both play the QB position, then sure.

Beavers are Over-Valued, Over-Paid, Ungrateful and Unaccountable
I used to feel that way, but no more. But I'm glad to provide the RiverRats with the door prize now known as the PAC-Deuce. As in, I just dropped a Deuce. (sorry Charles, if I just went a bridge too far with that last line 😉 )

Leap Of Faith Anyone?
Just for the record, I'm not remotely backtracking on my "Right now, the Ducks can beat any team in America." I suppose, though, that I do have a few superstitious tendencies at times though. 😄 However, I think that we both know, that on any given day, our Ducks can beat anyone right now. And if they continue with the one-game-at-a-time focus and mentality, I think they have a great shot at winning 4 more consecutive games. I'd love to go to the game in Las Vegas. Especially, since my last time there we got manhandled... strike that, downright abused, by Utah. Unfortunately, we have a client commitment that weekend, so I'll be watching it on a big screen that has my name on it. But I hope you can make it.

Will the Oregon Ducks Face Michigan in the Rose Bowl?
Exactly. And since the UW game, it's certainly been a total "one game at a time" season. And they way our Ducks have operated and focused that way since then, as you know, has been exceptionally impressive.

Will the Oregon Ducks Face Michigan in the Rose Bowl?
I'll bottom-line it: Right now, the Ducks can beat any team in America. No hyperbole, no smack talking. It's just a fact.

Beavers are Over-Valued, Over-Paid, Ungrateful and Unaccountable
Sadly, the Beavers just can't handle the truth. In the words of Colonel Nathan R. Jessup to the Beavers: "I would rather that you just said 'thank you' and went on your way... but either way, I don't give a damn what you RiverRats think you're entitled to!"

Some Favorite Beaver Memories?
There have been many great Civil War games, but after all of these years, the one that I sadly cannot forget -- and believe me, I've tried, is that miserable game in 1983 and the 0-0 tie. It was a cold, crappy weather day, and we were about to leave at halftime, but sadly, decided to stick around just to see what would happen. That was a mistake. But what a difference a few decades make 😉. Over the past 15 years, we're 12-2 against the RiverRats. After this Friday, 13-2. GO DUCKS!

Will the Disrespect Ever Stop?
Just win, baby!

Will the Disrespect Ever Stop?
I think this might be urban legend.

Leap Of Faith Anyone?
Can't allow myself mentally go there yet... until after Friday.

Would You Take Shough Back?
Sounds a bit like another QB I used to know who once played in the SEC. But I'm not suggesting at all the Shough come back.

Beavers are Over-Valued, Over-Paid, Ungrateful and Unaccountable
'your value is at the Mountain-West Conference level.' The truth can be both awesome, and brutal, at times. This is one of those times.

Would You Take Shough Back?
I don't know right now if I would, or not. But boy... the new world of college football sure is wild.

Do You Feel It?
1972 for me. My first game Oregon 0 - UW 58. And yes, I'm with you 100%... this is the most complete team I've ever seen at Oregon.

Do You Feel It?
I'm afraid for any of us Duck fans who have been around through the decades, those feelings of Duck PTSD never fully leave. That's why I'm grateful for the Duck PTSD group therapy. But even with all of the Duck PTSD group therapy I've had, those feelings, admittedly, can quickly rise. (Fyi... the group therapy consists of meeting at the local watering hole, with fellow Duck brethren, while simultaneously supporting local businesses -- aka. craft breweries, as we attempt to exercise our ancient demon Duck losses). Unfortunately, my wife doesn't believe in my therapy program (how sad is that). And as often as I've tried, my medical insurance plan won't accept the group therapy receipts as apparently, there is no clinical psychologist on their list who goes by the name 'Dr. Porter' -- but there should be).

Canzano: Oregon and Oregon State Plotting to Keep Civil War Alive in 2024
In my humble opinion, and while I'd love to see the Civil War continue, no Oregon team should ever be subjected, and relegated, to having to play on that blue smurf rug thing again. There outta be a law against that kind of hideous thing.

Fun Watching the SC Fans Go Crazy
Please... not the Cardinals. We don't need that kind of coaching here.

Pretty Impressed: ASU GamePlan so Crafty...
Exactly. Not to mention, it was a perfect pass and reception as well.

Sports Junkies Like Stats - Here's a New One For 'Em
This kind of "Nerdologist Statistical Analysis" warms my self-nerd-stats-guy heart. And it's a great comment, question, and point. I might gave to do some nerdorific thinking, pondering, and research on this.
