  1. And, "How exactly does one go about getting one of those Bo's?"
  2. And oh-boy... If we thought we heard nearly perpetual blaming, incessant whining, crying, and moaning, from Beaver fans before... Their disdain and hatred for said evil program 50 miles down the road -- and some dude named 'Phil,' is only going to get worse. I actually pity the Beavers now.
  3. I like Jonathan Smith and, based upon his rather amazing performances at OSU, appears to be an excellent coach. I wish him all the best that MSU. But obviously, not as good as OBD.
  4. Sad-Sad Beavers 10. Wake up the following morning to discover that your most excellent head coach, who is also a Beaver alum, is more than likely about to abandon you as well... and join said evil program 50 miles down the road in the B1G powerhouse conference. 11. Repeat the extensive and nearly perpetual blaming, incessant whining, crying, and moaning, ad infinitum.
  5. SoGaDawg - What you're saying makes sense, but I'm afraid that we might be looking at a repeat of 2001 all over again. But perhaps that's just me because of wounds from a memory and time gone by. I sure hope so.
  6. I'm voting for one of these teams to annihilate and beat the ever-luvin-crap out of the other one... by a huge, wide, margin. Couldn't care less which one wins.
  7. Sad-Sad Beavers 1. First, you wake up one morning to find that everyone, except you and some school East of the Cascades, have evacuated our beloved conference. 2. You realize that you and some school east of the Cascades are left holding the conference remnant in a wet paper bag. 3. You then realize that you are an absolutely innocent victim (of course), and naturally, it's everyone else's fault... especially that evil school 50 miles down the road... along with some dude named "Phil." 4. You then realize that your next best move is to incessantly blame said evil school down the road that has helped carry your program for decades --- for all of your problems since about forever. 5. You then are forced to the cold realization -- after extensive and nearly perpetual blaming, incessant whining, crying, and moaning -- that no other real conference in the world wants you. 6. You then realize that there is a Plan B option: The "PAC-2" -- and thereby proceed to Step #7. 7. Attempt to pirate, steal, and rob, the remaining cash in the former PAC-12 checking account... all while still blaming said evil school 50 miles down the road... and "Phil" -- but now also mixing in the other 9 semi-evil schools... who also helped carry you for decades. 8. Play said evil school 50 miles down the road in the final official Civil War game. 9. Get your lunch, and dinner (it was a late game) handed to you in final Civil War game, followed by once again by the aforementioned blaming of said evil school 50 miles down the road (and of course, that dude named "Phil"). 10. The end. And have a nice day.
  8. What I basically heard from Smith is: "Show me the money, and I'm outta here."
  9. That's a serious, punishing, defense right there. Before tonight, OSU averaged 33 points per game. Tonight.. 7 points. Before tonight, in the 3 losses the Beavs had this season, they lost by an average of 3 points. Tonight they lost by 24. Ducks utterly dominated and owned the nation's 16th ranked team.
  10. Okay... I guess I'll 'settle' for 31-7.
  11. Now it's time to put the Beavs out of their misery and drop a couple more TDs on them.
  12. I am about to the point where I think the odds on a Las Vegas slot machine might be better than a Duck field goal attempt.
  13. You totally nailed it. I had to replay that a couple times and that was absolutely a total Heisman moment. Just amazing.
  14. That 3 is huge... for a lot of reasons.
  15. 4 delay of game calls against the Beavers... so far. Credit to the Duck fans.
  16. Cam is BACK. He made the PAT!
  17. I can't imagine the voices he is fighting in his head.
  18. Clearly, this young man is winning at the all important game of life. Well played, Mr. Stephens. I look forward to seeing the positive impact you will continue to have long after college football.
  19. "May the name Beavus be stricken from the record never to uttered in public again." "So it shall be written. So it shall be done."
  20. Is there new speculation about Lanning that I haven't heard about?
  21. You certainly may be spot on regarding TT. He more than has the talent that, and that is unquestionable. If I remember correctly, Danny O'Neil was quite unimpressive one year, and then between seasons, something happened and he came back and looked all pro. TT has looked rather good in the limited amount of PT he has had. I certainly hope he is amazing next year. But it sounds like we're going to try to bring in another stud QB to give him a run for his money, which is the smart thing to do.
  22. What's funny is that 89% of us based that opinion on Bo's heretofore performance. I think almost everyone knew that Bo had the ability to be a great quarterback, but he had not consistently proven that prior to Oregon. It's not everyday that in about 8 months a person can virtually do a complete 180° and perform at the level Bo has over the past 15 months. Obviously, this is a credit to the person and mind that Bo is/has... But also huge props to our coaches who saw and believed in the potential that Bo had, which was obviously residing just below the surface. And yeah, not surprisingly, 100% of us are now singing Bo's praises. That sorta tends to happen when a guy, over the past 15 months, provides your program with a 20-4 record... including a bowl win, and now has us on the edge of the college football playoffs (who by the way was injured during the last 4 games of last season). But if you're suggesting that our initial skeptability was unwarranted, well then, that's just unreasonable.
  23. "Unhinged Husky" Nothing like a little redundancy Sad that this Fuskie, while fly fishing on one of the most beautiful rivers anywhere, can't manage to control his latent Husky insecurities. Your reply was very well played. And I'm thinking that he knows that he'd better milk that 36-33 score while he can... because if all goes according to plan, in 9 days, he'll be singing a much different tune.
