QUAAACK! Kicker Tyler Kinsman is a Duck
Desert Duck replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
About 25% of FBS schools scholarship the longsnapper now... and that's primarily the top programs doing it. One bad snap can ruin an entire season. -
It's going to be a little chilly down here on Saturday... about 73° and some showers in the morning. Hopefully, the teams and the fans can handle it
-
Since 2000, the Ducks are 8-3 at Sun Devil Stadium. I'm going to lean in that 73% win percentage in Tempe for about the last quarter century.

Just watched it. Wow... that was fantastic. Talk about killing any A&M talk. Well done, Dan.

I did not see it so I'm really glad to read your take. It's one thing to read the words, but it's another thing entirely to see the body language, etc.

Canzano on Lanning to TAMU: 'Have You Met the Guy?'
Desert Duck replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
$80 million just to send you packin'. For some reason, I don't think A&M was overly impressed with ol Jimbo. $80 million just to dump a college football coach. That's pretty incredible. -
'I’m not going anywhere,' Lanning said. 'There’s zero chance I would be coaching somewhere else.' This is very nice to read. Great to see him put this to rest so quickly. Dan Lanning addresses Texas A&M rumors: ‘Zero chance I would be coaching somewhere else’ WWW.OREGONLIVE.COM Dan Lanning has been listed as a potential candidate at the newly open position at Texas A&M. He shot down any possibility of him leaving UO on Monday,

Don't Run up the Middle on Short Yardage Plays Against ASU
Desert Duck replied to Solar's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Sorry... meant to say at Arizona is 7-3. Not 7-2. -
Don't Run up the Middle on Short Yardage Plays Against ASU
Desert Duck replied to Solar's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I've heard that comment from many Duck fans over the years, but it never quite set right with me. Therefore, I had to waste a few minutes and look it up. Why? Because I'm a stats Nerd. Since 2000: - At Arizona State, Oregon is 8-3. - At Arizona, Oregon is 7-2. So while our Ducks had better not underestimate or overlook this Sun Devil team on Saturday, in reality, the desert has been 73% & 70%, respectively, good to our Ducks for almost the last quarter-century. And it's time to take that Tempe stat to 9-3 since 2000. -
My best guess is that once we enter the B1G next year, the amount of ref complaining will be roughly the same.

I must say! That's it is sad!! That you have lost your appreciation for the once beloved (!!!) exclamation point!!! https://youtu.be/VSKn8RlD7Is?feature=shared And even more 'sadder' that I still can't figure out how to properly insert a link after just reading your fine and detailed description on how to do it. Ps. I hate exclamation points.

About Frickin Time, Anderson Resigns Immediately as ASU AD
Desert Duck replied to Steven A's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
My ASU friends down here could not be happier. This clown should have been terminated a few years ago. -
1939... which happens to be the same year that we last won a Natty in one of the Big-3 sports -- football, basketball, or baseball.
-
Which I think will be a rather brief and easy conversation.

After the year Dillingham has had, perhaps he might be interested in coming back as our OC
-
Just pay him the money and get it done by 5 PM PST this afternoon... before this crap starts to have a significant negative impact on recruiting. Like all of us, Duck brass had to know this would be coming, so they already should have a plan in place to deal with it. And 99+% of the time, the answer in that plan is "Mo-Money, Mo-Betta." Just git-er-dun.

Cristobaland... The place where great QBs go to die. Dude practically tried his best to ruin Herbert.
-
Hopefully, the powers that be at Oregon have been on the phone with Dan's agent throughout the day and are nailing down his new contract and money as we speak. It's unlikely to me that Oregon would not have anticipated this kind of activity, and already have had a plan in place to address it. We had a bunch of key recruits at the game yesterday. Which is exactly why we need to immediately drive a wooden stake through the heart of this A&M garbage, instantly followed by Lanning releasing a public statement regarding him staying at Oregon until the cows come home.

I'm not concerned about Lanning and A&M. If it was Alabama, then I'd just say, "Good night, Martha." And that day might come sooner than any of us want. However, if you know much about A&M, or College Station TX, you know that they have everything you're talking about in spades, and tremendous tradition to go with it. Well, in all fairness... they also get 100° temps with 98% humidity -- which is the worst.
