  1. I kind of hate this idea, but I also think I love it. I hate it because I fear the greater chance of injury. But then I think back to the last two games of the 2020 season when Mario finally freed Justin, to be Justin... and he ran all over Utah & Wisconsin. We potentially have three games left. So, to your comment, I'm afraid that I agree... Let Bo run when the opportunity is there.
  2. While I have 'only' been going to Duck games since 1973, in my humble opinion, you are 100% spot on with your above comment. We've had some great teams along the way, but I don't remember seeing a team with the focus and consistency that this team has displayed over these last 6 games. Just 3 more games with this kind of focus to go.
  3. Oh good Lord, NO. Oh please, oh please, NO. I am now going to go directly to my happy place and put any possible thoughts of this happening out of my head.
  4. First of all, they're Beaver fans... so, in other words, they're dumb. Second of all, as we all know, nobody has got any coach for life anymore. But, since they are Beaver fans, which means that they're dumb, they may have actually believed the tripe that they spewed.
  5. When did Smith say this? A month ago, two months ago? I would really like to see the link to him saying this, and know what date it was. Because, let's face it, one month in college football today is a long time, especially with all that has been changing in the Pac-12. But I don't understand why you are suggesting that he lied. Perhaps people just can't handle the truth which is that every coach in the land who has an agent, has an agent who is listening to all inquiries from colleges looking to hire a head coach. The fact that this appears to be news to anybody, is a bit bizarre to me. Comparing Smith's honest comment to that of Slick Willy or Mario, is unreasonable, inaccurate, and incongruent.
  6. I really feel for the kid, and especially the team. But right now, I feel like the odds of us making a field goal are just slightly higher than my odds at a craps table in Vegas. But I'm still hopeful that whatever switch needs to get flipped in Cam's head, happens by Friday.
  7. From afar, it absolutely looks like it could be ribs... and as most know, rib injuries suck, particularly if you're a QB playing at the FBS level. But something definitely gave in on that guy during the Oregon game.
  8. Let's just hope the committee see them right now as a top-4 team.
  9. Georgia Tech up 7-0 with 9:40 to go in the 1st. I just had to post that before Georgia goes on to blow them out something like 47 to 14.
  10. After looking at their last 8 games, the Huskies are so ripe for a good, old fashioned, beat-down. Over their last 8 games: - They haven't beaten anyone by more than 10 points - Their average margin of victory has been 6 points. - And that includes teams such as mighty ASU & Stanford. We really have a great opportunity to open a good ol' fashioned can of whoop as on these guys.
  11. After watching them play today, and last week, we should be able to dismantle them in Vegas.
  12. With 0:38 left, Penix is 18/32, 204 yards, and only 2 TDs, 1 Int. 0 yards rushing. Dear Lord... please, oh please give us the Huskies this Friday night.
  13. Absolutely, Charles. I was already thinking the same thing. And now that Auburn totally sucked it beyond belief, it's shaping up nicely for us to get reamed again like we did in 2001. Plus, even the freaking Huskies are doing all they can to lose to the Cougars and make it even more unlikely for us to get in.
  14. So you agree with Solar that Daniels numbers this week are better than Bo's? At best, I'd say it's a push. Ps. Me previously calling A&M soft was not accurate. As I looked at their 5 losses, 4 of those were to current Top-20 teams.
  15. Freaking Auburn. No wonder Bo got out of that place. 4th & 31. 30 seconds left. TD Bama. Oregon is literally getting help from nobody.
  16. I'm struggling to see how Daniel's stats, in a win at home against an average-at-best, and unranked A&M squad, are more impressive than Bo's against the #16 ranked team in the nation. Daniels - Against a soft A&M team was: - Passing: 16/24 - 66% - 235 yards - 4 TDs - Rushing: 11 carries - 121 yards - 0 TDs - Total Yards: 356 Bo - Against a very tough OSU team was: - Passing: 33/40 - 83% - 367 yards - 2 TDs. - Rushing: 6 carries - 31 yards - 1 TD - Total Yards: 398 By comparison between their last game played, maybe you can help me see what I'm missing. I'd say that if we'd like to look at Bo's numbers on the road against, against an unranked opponent, lets look last week at ASU and Bo's first 30 minutes of play. Daniel's is a stud... no doubt about it. And he also has 3 losses to go with his stats. And not a single win against a team that was ranked in the Top 20 when they played them. Plus, in most games we played, after Bo led us to huge leads early, he often sat out most of the fourth quarter, and in some cases, all of the fourth quarter. In other words, Daniels has had a ton more minutes of PT than Bo.
  17. Doesn't Daniel's have 3 losses to go along with his other stats?
  18. In Dan, I trust. But yes, he is currently broken.
  19. If I may, I'd like to point out the one singular reason that Oregon (and UW) wisely, and fortunately, got out on about the last lifeboat: Money It's always the money. Always and forever, follow the money. If we hadn't gotten a late B1G deal, right now, we'd be barely in a slightly better position than the abysmal one that the Beavers are in. From where I sit, the primary blame for the sad and painful demise and destruction of the storied, and once mighty, PAC-12 conference, resides at the feet of a one particular PAC-12 commissioner, along with a bunch of University presidents and athletic directors... Who stood by for about a decade, not wanting to admit or see that the emperor had no clothes on... and that he was essentially utilizing our conference as his own personal piggy bank. Sadly, and throughout history, willing blindness has been an often, and all too common, tale and phenomena . And when allowed to run for an extensive period, only results in destruction. From athletic conferences, to nations, many have fallen for this same reason.
  20. I'm pretty sure that just because some Beavers are dreaming, it does not make Tosh Lupoi a 'candidate.' I would be curious if anyone from OSU even asked Tosh if he was remotely interested in the job. Heck, why not say that Urban Meyer is a candidate too.
  21. From 1971-1998, 28 straight OSU losing seasons. Although, the Ducks were only slightly better through many of those Dark Age years.
  22. Like Oregon & Washington, he barely got out on the last lifeboat.
