Where the REST of the Pac is Going...
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
The more I think on this… Even if OSU, WSU, Cal, Stanford try and make a go as the Pac- they can’t afford MWC team team buyouts now, especially with no viable tv deal. SDSU and SMU can’t happen now. And Apples already rotten deal has to be off the table now…not even worth it for them anymore at those $ with these Pac prospects. Maybe MWC goes with Apple at next contract to increase its $ via streaming. So in meantime Pac4 brings in Eastern, Montana… Or somehow convinces Big12 they need to hit 20 teams NOW and get added on the chest at low%s . But Seems Big12 should not keep buying until they stand back to see what SHOULD be next, vs what is desperate. Can’t see WSU and OSU being better than some other options for Big12 add…after the Zona schools and Utah go. -
Where the REST of the Pac is Going...
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It’s basically down to where do OSU, WSU, Cal, & Stanford go. What are things that we are aware of: Mountain West buyouts are too expensive for any of them to come to PAC with those 4 before 2025. Not hearing ANY talk of Mountain West absorbing anybody and their TV $ are so low they can’t afford splitting. Don’t know if their current contract allows for any $ in expansion. Stanford has the $ to be independent for a year or 2. Not the others. Big12 all but just added the 2 Arizona schools and Utah to go with Colorado. Even if they want to expand beyond that, OSU and WSU are waaaaaaaaaay down the list. Bay Area schools don’t seem to fit but maybe. Really is sad but a Beavis and Cougs are really in a pickle. Also feel sad for SDSU. Got led on by George without any firm ground or $. -
Canzano: Conference Demise Hinges on Oregon
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Man, just when I had a few months of actually thinking Canzano turned a corner on being a legit good, sourced reporter. After this and his recent statement that PAC media deal getting more $ than Big12 is a lay-up. Clearly, once again he is either being used or creating fake news for clicks. Maybe both. No. More. Trust. -
Pac-12 Expansion: The Case for Boise State
AllOregon replied to cartm25's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
No thanks. Boise St market and academics are terrible. Boise ~100th largest U.S. city (yawn) and per uS News and World Reports, “Boise State University is ranked #331-440 out of 443 National Universities. Source link: https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/boise-state-university-1616/overall-rankings#:~:text=your college needs%3F-,Boise State University Rankings, about how we rank schools. Athletics are not great outside of a couple football games. Hanging a hat on a game from 16+ years ago that only one team was fired up to play their opponent…no prospective recruit let alone current college student even remembers that game. San Diego St is light years ahead in every category: market, academics, athletics. -
The Greatest Oregon Sound-Effect EVER?
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
My fav Oregon sound is “Kenny Wheaton is gonna score!” -
Don’t forget the bad blood in how Peterson dealt with the Boise State player instigating the LeGarrette punch by calling him the N-word in front of many witnesses. Kelly suspended his player for the rest of the regular season, Peterson did nothing to his player. Oregon leader ship never forgot that and I don’t think Peterson ever was going to become an Oregon head coach

SDSU has got to be negotiating that they get a full share. And they sure deserve it. -
An Offer From B1G in April Coming?
AllOregon replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I will believe it when I see it… Until then, speculation can be fun: If UO and UW to B1G, Then the 4 corner schools bolt to Big12. Then, remaining 4 PAC merge with MWC. Redefine divisions. SDSU dominates football and hoops and goes to playoff. -
Canzano: Dana Altman Is Fuming... But He's Not Leaving Oregon
AllOregon replied to NJDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Microcosm but my UO kid normally goes to games with a dozen friends. ZERO of them could attend the Wisconsin game because of being in middle of heavy finals week (they are all juniors & seniors) plus the high % of bad virus going around campus. Does not explain non-Students staying away though… -
Apple TV+ Could Decide Fate of PAC 12
AllOregon replied to Babyjesus615's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
This is smoke -
No. If the math penciled out to be independent, it would have penciled out for the B1G to give an invite.

New Takes on Harbor and Pleasant...

The distance thing clearly burned recently. However if he really is after building a brand, is staying near mommy for maybe a max of 2 more years a top priority? I say no. -

Best quote from here about Riley: “Ever since he became a head coach in 2017, he has now lost six games when his team was ahead by at least 14 points. Making matters worse, that is the most in the FBS during that span, per ESPN Stats and Info.” USC football's Cotton Bowl choke vs. Tulane adds to long list of Lincoln Riley collapses CLUTCHPOINTS.COM Lincoln Riley really needs to work on this issue...
