All 4 Top Seeds Lost..
The 4 bye teams gave up 85 of the first 91 points, all in losses. Say that out loud. Not a fluke. That is clear evidence that Rust matters. Even NFL does max 2 week byes in the NFL playoffs (and that team gets a home game).

Ty Thompson Struggles at Tulane
Just brutal, it is sad. But vindicates the 2 UO coaching staffs who indicated he is not the guy. Tulane had 2 former 5 stars at WR including Mario Williams, yet Ty was beyond ineffective, missing wide open guys. Still looks dazed and confused, not able to process defenses nor go through progressions correctly. He should accept Tulane coach’s offer to stay and be the occasional wildcat Tayson Hill role as a back- up. This “ showcase” start just scared away even any legit group of 5 team looking at Ty in the portal.

Good for him!

Ruh-Roh! Oregon Has a B1G Advantage for Portal Transfers!
Best quote I read today, “Following a 6-6 season, USC has had 18 players enter the transfer portal since it opened on Dec. 9.”

Oregon QB Recruiting Strategy: ALWAYS Go Portal?
I do feel a top notch portal QB has to always be part of the strategy, along with HS recruiting. But also only if there is a match. Currently, not much in portal. Was not over the moon for Mateer and he followed his O coach to Sooners today. Maybe after bowls and player interest.

This is Going to be the Most Anti-Climactic Heisman Trophy Ever!
Prime Time brought his son on stage with him and Travis in Introductions. Poor form.

This is Going to be the Most Anti-Climactic Heisman Trophy Ever!
and even with a much tougher gauntlet and better results… Dillon QBR #2 in nation Sanders is hovering around 20, not far from guys like Tyler Shough and the dude from Syracuse. Lol

The Other Six Top Ten Heisman Votees
Voters signaling they don’t even have a QB in their top 3. Look for Skattebo to be close to top 4.

This is Going to be the Most Anti-Climactic Heisman Trophy Ever!
Colorado strength of schedule is in the 70s. Dillon beat three playoff teams (so far)

What's the Future for Dante Moore at Oregon?
A more apt name is Cam Falling. No thanks, too CONSISTENTLY hurt. Even my Utah buddies want to move on from him.

It's Set, Oregon Plays the Winner of Tennessee at Ohio State and SMU Gets in!
That author writes, “a quibble could be offered that the Ducks didn’t square up with much quality opposition beyond Ohio State at Autzen Stadium” Why is nobody mentioning Oregon is the only team to play and beat 3 different playoff teams?! And beating #4 in playoff rankings while ~2000 miles from home is not quality opposition?! Its like they don’t pay attention on purpose.

It's Set, Oregon Plays the Winner of Tennessee at Ohio State and SMU Gets in!
Fan Duel odds changed to reflect the unbalanced seeding with Texas being put on Cotton Bowl side of bracket despite losing (and National Championship being in Georgia). Georgia +360 Texas +360 Oregon +380 Ohio St +500 3 of those on same side of bracket.

Post- B1G Championship Game Discussion
I took a moment to think back to that 1995 Rose Bowl against #2 Penn State, simply being happy to even be in that environment. And now we beat them and expected to win, going undefeated winning their conference. How far the ducks have come…still more to achieve.

TV Analyst Danielson Makes Me Want to HURL....
His nose was so far up Penn St’s butt he could smell what they had for lunch. Poor form.

Post- B1G Championship Game Discussion
Great teams find a way when not everything is working right. This team did that. And despite not playing it’s best, the D did get two clutch picks to seal this. The O reminded me of Chip‘s. Felt they could do anything they needed.

Oh Goody! We Could Play Penn State and Ohio State TWICE!
It feels this will look different after this weekend. Just focus on winning B1G. That said, this easily looks like a bracket set up with North side getting B1G into final and south side getting SEC into final. Top teams from each league are on same side of each other’s bracket. The 2 Power brokers at work to ensure each gets into Natty.

It's BIG! Oregon vs Penn State for the B1G Championship
Big Ten Sideline Sports Network account labels this as #2 vs #4. Hmm, someone call the marketing and communications departments.

Ducks Beat No. 9 Alabama 83-81!
Good day to be a Duck, but not to be a Day.

So...How Does This Win Make You Feel?
10 sacks against a very mobile QB. D was beastly. Glad the O got rolling again, and agree still not an A game for them. Plenty of growth available. Honestly, relatively vanilla play calling since Ducks ran down their throats. Hardly any long shot needed or used. Yes Holden had one for 39 but was mostly run after catch. TFerg for 21 but was on a Free play due to offsides. Rolling up 49 with foot on the brakes was pretty cool. Besting Huskies again, always cool.

Monday Injury Update! Oregon's Tez Johnson and Marcus Harper....
More Oregon WR Tez Johnson, shoulder, expected to return this year - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson's shoulder injury is not a season-ender and he is expected to return to action at some point this year, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel.

Oregon's Defense: Purdue Went From 49 Points to ZERO?
And, the D did this without it’s best player in Burch the last 2 games! Overall, UO has much to improve on, which should be scary to other teams. Ducks have had A grade results without yet playing an A game, in my opinion. Clean up the missed open receivers, the dropped passes, kicking game, dumb penalties, and tackling on D. Lord pity the team that sees our A game.

This Intentional Penalty is Next Level Coaching
I actually thought maybe Lanning thought of this while watching hoops. The team that is ahead by 3 with few seconds left and fouls the other team to not let a 3 point shot occur. It is not without its risks, but… Pretty sure a buckeye coach did that once or twice…

This Intentional Penalty is Next Level Coaching
I read this topic as I watched a basketball team intentionally commit fouls with 10 seconds left in the game to legally attempt to win a game. Which happens in many if not most close basketball games at all levels. I told my wife, “same thing.” Magically, she agrees.

Disappointed in National Coverage of Oregon vs. Ohio State
You’d think blue blood buckeyes would know the rules, or at least self-police or correct in their own forums. It was easily PI per below definition. Per NCAA rule book 2024 source file: “Offensive pass interference occurs when an offensive player: Blocks Downfield: Engages in blocking downfield before the ball is touched when the pass is beyond the line of scrimmage. Pushes Off: Initiates contact with a defender to create separation in an attempt to catch a pass.”
