After watching how slow both the O & D lines were against Utah, I sure hope Dan has addressed this or its going to be a long day Saturday. It great to have big linemen but they must be quick to contend for conference cship.

Mario Cristobal--When the Knives Come Out
Duckhart replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Good points! I look at Marios assistant coaches he has at Miami, pretty impressive. Im hoping the best for him and think he will learn from his Duck experience. -
Before fall camp is over it will be evident who the starting qb should be. It will also be evident if Ty or Butters is better than Bo. Bo still starts against the Dawgs but the other two will get time next game for sure.

Mario Cristobal--When the Knives Come Out
Duckhart replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Mike left Chip with a loaded roster, but yeah he did well even if he disliked recruiting and left when he/the program, knew he recruiting violations were coming down. He also had a big ego when it came to using his small back to try and run between tackles of the best defense in the league in the Naddy. Also his pass on a fg for a 4thn and short, that cost big time. He did not coach the best game against Auburn as he went away from allowing his backs speed to get outside and allowing DT do rpo. We had that game won and it was because Chip's ego to prove he run small backs in at gtg. He was pretty arrogant in his approach with fans and media too. -

Mario did UoO a lot better than Chip Kelly ever did. Like every coach Chip had strengths and weakness's. -

In 2022...Do Cheerleader Photos Inspire or Offend?
Duckhart replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Nothing at all wrong with pics of cheerleaders, they are an extension of the game & tradition. This is college football with real young people and gals that love to dance. These gals work very hard at their talents like the players do and deserve to be seen and appreciated. Is someone is offended by the pics they don't have to look at the pics. -
Reasons Ducks Would Leave PAC-10 with Big 10 Invite
Duckhart replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I see the Ducks and Huskies Staying, George wont let them go. If they did they would be the nail in the coffin for the Pac. George will come up with a financial package and a few other solid teams. Just my opinion and guess. -

Riley bowl record is not that impressive and he lost to both Baylor & OSU last year.

Miami Removing the 'Turnover Chain' Ahead of 2022 Season
Duckhart replied to Annie's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Mario ended up here because Willie brought him in, it's not like we recruited him as a head coach from day one. When he was hired as HC and had some success I thought about what if this guy wants to end up at his Alma Mater, down the road. When Miami fired their coach and his mom became ill, I thought it was even more of a possibility. He built up a great recruiting reputation before he came to the Ducks too. Thats why schools have buy out's. When schools want to make a change, they do it. What If Marcus Mariota developed a reputation as a solid coach after his pro career and he was enticed to accept a job at Oregon? -
Is This the Beginning of the End For a Game So Many Love?
Duckhart replied to Log Haulin's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Even HS on the West Coast are having a tough time with numbers of players signing up. There is so much to do out here and the options do and will effect game attendance. The younger generation doesn't seem as die hard when it comes to college football, couple that with ticket prices spiking? -
George Kliavkoff--Completely Blindsided?

I think we will be passed over initially by B10. Big 12 merge with Pac 10 another TV package could be worked out. -

Pac 10 and Big 12 must merge. That would be a respectable conference. -
MC wins over the parents with his recruiting. He comes across very balanced with respect to coaching and protection. Has a good approach with the moms.

Pac-12 Expansion: Big-12 Teams for the Taking?

Dont forget Baylor! -
Actually not that hard of an assist, wind up throw down a very clear/open lane, to a big waiting for the ball. These kind of assist are practiced. Very nice.....

The O in Mario will always remind me of the greatest in season win ever in Duck history. Last year! Better than the Mich game years back....

What do You Want More, a Win Over Georgia or Utah?
Duckhart replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Must beat Utah, but have a close game against defending national Champs. -
IMO, we could have had a National Championship if Kelly hadn't tried a couple of times (once on 4th and goal and once with FG) to run his small backs between tackles against Auburn. Mario and Kelly were both ego driven, Kelly thought he could pound the gut on a SEC team that was built around goal line d. Mario as an offensive lineman wanted to prove he could dominate the line of scrimmage on offense. Dillingham will also have something to prove, and put his signature on the O, and Lanning will want him to keep the defense off the field as much as possible. Im thinking the offense will be cranked up like we haven't seen in a few years.

Riley missed his chance prove how good a coach he is by losing to both Baylor & OSU last year.. He's what 1 & 2 in bowl games? -
Both lines were split up and its tough to see what qb can squirt out of the pocket when they call collapse. I didnt see many screen plays or play action pass.
