The NFL Will Never Admit That . . .
I think the Kansas Plan is more fair in terms of equal chances. The go for 2 rule now in the 3rd OT speeds it up. Coin flip still a slight advantage in terms of always choosing defense if you win the toss, but it flips in the 2nd OT. NFL new OT rules are better than the old sudden death at least

The Pac-12 is On the Rise
Dennis Dixon doesn't hurt his knee against ASU, there is a high likelihood we win the natty in 2007. Crap 12 refs don't blow the call against Stanturd, even after review, there is a high chance we'd have won the natty in '12 as well.

Uh oh... White Uniforms for the Alamo Bowl
At least it has school colors. I think every uniform should have both green and yellow. Black and white themes are ok, even gray sometimes (once every 5000 years) as long as there is both green and yellow

Not Good: Freshman Jackson-Powers to Play Defensive Tackle in Alamo Bowl
I snowboarded today in a blizzard at 4 degrees F and gusts up to 60mph, and my $250 Smith goggles froze up on the INSIDE in already challenging visibility. Jackson can do it, man!

Kickers Deserve Scholarships, Too
Good point, could come into play somewhere, but I think it's a good idea nonetheless and figure out how to keep it from being abused

That Army-Mizzou game tonight was quite fun to watch, actually, exciting finish

247 Recruiting Rankings
I think this new staff will pull some extra pieces in by the normal February signing day and probably poach a few really good ones out of the portal. If we have some decent success at all next season next year's class could easily be top 5 better than even mario cart crystal ball ever did

Feedback Requested: Like the Background Pics? Other Suggestions?
Not sure if what he just said above is the same thing but when you go to an article being able to go to the forum with a forum link button (yellow oval) instead of having to back out to the main page. Oh, and donuts 🍩 Charles. That would be yummy

Read These and Weep- the Pac-12 Continues its Deep Dive
Year one may be rocky given early signing is upon us, but maybe some wait for Feb. with all the switcheroony going on. And, Lanning will probably pull a couple major transfer portal coups. I hope. We were #9 when MC bolted for the tropics, let's see where we finish in February. JC's and Transfers don't always show in the rankings either, the story could be rosier than what the 24/7 composite finishes with. I'm more concerned about good player development position coaches, and good scheming OC/DC. (Lanning will probably have a hand in Defense?). Year 2 (12 months from now) let's check the recruit rankings then!

Analysis: Is Dan Lanning an Upgrade from Mario Cristobal?
Until we see how he fills out his staff, it's too early to speculate. Then, we'll need at least one season to know for sure. At this juncture, my guess is Lanning will be an upgrade in almost every department. Player development will be the biggest key, which is why I'm not worried about most of the assistants leaving, as I think that was the biggest concern with MC. Coordinators and scheme, and MC's thwarting of Moorhead to do his thing may be more on MC than the assistants, but we got 10 win seasons and a Rose Bowl on pure talent alone. We did better than that with Belotti and Chip recruiting largely 3 star guys. MC set the talent bar way higher and had 4 years to "do something" but didn't--oh wait that was Taggart's motto. I think Lanning will shine in Eugene. Will he stay more than 3 or 4 years? We can only hope

What Would Lanning Bring, What Would We Expect?
I just saw that Jim Tressel was in Eugene this morning

It's BACK! Red Chair Baby!
We've been overrun. I never go out in Bend. Remember the ODOT guys in the 80s who made a big official green highway sign on the Siskiyou Summit that said "Welcome to Oregon. Every third Californian will be shot". They somehow put it up at night. Supposedly never caught the real culprits

It's BACK! Red Chair Baby!
Mt. Bachelor opening Monday, probably just Little Pine...but the bar will be open too! 29-48" predicted, hopefully they get at least the low end. It's about 5" deep right now. Red Chair won't open for a bit probably. But...as long as the Red Chair Beer is here 🍺!!! Time to wax the best board on Bachelor

Kalani Sitake from Brigham Young interviewing for the job?
Heard Sitaki interviewed today as didn't go well, was unprepared and had no "plan". According to JHop...no clue how he'd know, does he have a hidden microphone? Seems like it's too early to get that info?

Katleman to Enter the Transfer Portal
Not a surprise, good luck to him. He and Lewis seemed to be neck and neck this year. We'll be ok as long as we have one or the other
