My Top-3 Positive Takeaways So Far
Agree with all. Nix had just one throw I saw that gave me the willies. Coaches may have let up too early. Gave up too many passing yards, but open field tackling much improved over last couple weeks. Still not getting much pressure on opposing QBs...run game is great and run D are great. Noah hasn't looked like a Butkus favorite yet. Flowe still can get over the injury bug. Hoping those things change soon! Let's see some big pressure in Pullman and force bad throws and get at least 2 picks and 4 sacks. Go Ducks!

Is “Win Now” Culture a Problem For QBs?
And Haywardduck has started a Ty thread...Cristbal's offensive "offense" and his assistant coaches see the players perform daily where we don't, and get paid millions to figure it out, as bad as MC was on offense they saw Brown as the better chance to win, the current staff see's Nix as the better chance to win. Recruiting rankings don't always mean as much as we would like to think, and reading defenses at the D1 level does not seem to be a strength for Ty, not yet at least. So...transfers to "win now" is that good? No, the portal and NIL are ruining college sports. Not developing your recruits is bad too, but what if the 5 star doesn't pan out?

Oregon Might Not Be Top-20
Rankings prior to 5 weeks in are stupid and pointless.

Oregon/Georgia GameDay Thread!
I don't know about that, Lanning has the right culture attitude, and we will recruit really really well. We all hoped for playoff berth in year 1...give 2-3 years and winning playoff games could be a reality. As we enter the 4th quarter, at least our uniforms are really cool and have school colors. Low and slow, you must fly a sky crane 🤣 I guess I'm 140-300 kts 2500 AGL...somewhere in the middle?

Oregon/Georgia GameDay Thread!
Feels a lot like recent years...false starts, dumb penalties, really poor tackling, can't throw more than 4 yards down the field. The tackling part is really surprising with Lanning and company on board. Nix...still makes bad throws against good opponents. It's time to build for the future with Thompson/Butterfield.

UNLV Offense Looking Sweet Under Arroyo
Arroyo had to get out from under the oppression too, prove he can run an offense if Mari and the pistol plunge weren't handcuffing him. Be interesting to see if that hyped MiamiU QB has a noticeable downturn this year. Canes, 7-5.

Oregon Running Back: Jeremiah Johnson
Best stiff-arm ever! 65-38 final score. Go Ducks!

Alani Noa Commits to USC...Ducks Have No OL Commits in 2023
O Line...and D Line, are not USuCk's strengths...stronger at the skill positions, but waiting to see how they do with weak lines. 8-4 is my prediction. A bunch of 3 star linemen will bite in the end, as we continue to get 4's, and even some 5's.

Alani Noa Commits to USC...Ducks Have No OL Commits in 2023
Lots of time...just watch how well we do, we'll land or flip a 5 star OT and a 5 star Guard by early December

Oregon's Unique Weakness for the 2022 Season
Agreed. E(SEC)PN only sees the surface. We have a LOADED running back room with a ton of talent, and really good coaches...we'll be fine this season running. I agree Sir Charles, will pass protection improve?

The Eventual College Football Renaissance
FCS: "we already know the result of those games. The lesser team is going to lose." Unless you are in Seattle hosting the University of Montana...

Most Games with 200+ Yds Rushing, Passing Since 2010
Masoli's last season was "09, so...NONE. Daron Thomas lead us to the NC against Auburn in 2010, 2011, Marcus was '12-'14. I bet a of those games in the tally were those early years, and '15 with Vernon Adams. Anybody know who was #1 on this list NATIONALLY?

Forget the Future: The 2022 Oregon Front Seven is the BEST?
1. Agreed. If Flowe and most of these guys stay healthy, with these coaches...and I think the secondary has a TON of talent too, maybe a bit young but by November??? 2. You cannot ever have enough craft IPA's.

Quarterback Depth Will Be an Advantage for the 2022 Ducks...An Envious Position for Us
Only one with any real playing time, and Nix's is significant. Lots of untested talent, plenty of guys for scout team.

Shalane Flannigan Hired as Ducks Track/X-C Assistant Coach
This is a huge hire, on the road to rebuilding our distance events to it's storied traditions. This will be huge for recruiting and with the portal, some immediate results are likely.

Ducks will be Doves if We Go to the BIG
If DL does what we hope he will...and in the end he'll out recruit Mari Crisbal after we win conference championships and they go 8-4... yes we could win in the B1G too. tOSU isn't invincible, DL and staff recruiting big classes will beat most of the UM, MSU, Wisc, PSU types. Or go 13-0 in the Pac and make the playoff...put your money where your mouth is in the real games.

Oregon OC Kenny Dillingham Has Surprises in His Coaching Tree
My only concern is he'll get a much-deserved big payday offer as a HC...if he has a great year or two here can we pay him more than most first-time HC offers to stay a couple more years as OC? We still have to wait and see how '22 plays out but the optimism is blooming

Personal Experience Alert: New COVID Strain is Sneaky
That banner is very Stanturd red...what about lightning yellow? 😄😉

Hmm...Which Coach Did They Leave Out?
USuCk will be 8-4, OU 9-3, Notre Dumb will be 8-4, Miami will have no offense with a great QB...ask Justin Herbert about that, Mari Crisbal goes 8-4. Brian Kelly at LSU...the guy finds ways to win and has talent. Will it be a tie with Venables or can he go 10-2 in the SEC west in his first year? Will bowls determine the outcome?

Jurrion Dickey Will Transfer to Mater Dei For Final HS Season
When we beat Utah for the second time the first weekend of December, and we are 13-0 and USuCk is 8-4 again...he'll know where to go

Poll: Would YOU Want Oregon to Join the Big-12 Alone?
The Big 12 is a part of the country where football is a more fanatical part of the everyday culture, like SEC country, where as the west coast just isn't. The Texas markets are big for TV revenue obviously. The B12 has been stung by UT and OK bailing to the SEC, as well as TA&M. Could the revenue and rabid-fandom be a better fit? The B12 has some really good Baseball, Softball, Track, Basketball etc. too. If USuCk and sUCkLA bail with the LA market, is the remaining Pac financially relevant? We can still beat the beeevers annually in a non-conference game. CO and UT bring good size markets, plus AZ/ASU. Could the B1G, SEC, and B12 be the 3 super conferences? FSU and Clemson end up in the SEC? Basketball won't matter, 50,000 conferences get at least one in the the dance anyhow. Duke and UNC will survive on basketball and Lacrosse.

World Championship Defined by Devon Allen's DQ
I'm talking about 2012...the refs probably took a natty from us in that game, we'd have been the BCS #1 and Alabama would not have been in it and that Notre Dumb team didn't match up that well to us that year.
