Reality Check for Dawg Fan

Unnecessarily Detailed Look at Both Rosters
Wow, OD, this is impressive work. Thank you very much. Starters look like they match up pretty well. Unfortunately, the two deep will play and some 3rd stringers for both teams. This is where Georgia has at least a somewhat greater advantage. Keeping fresh legs in is very important.

Good Read on Dawg Site of Georgia/Oregon
Nice read. I enjoyed reading all the comments. You are right. Most folks commenting seem pretty objective also.

Kenny Dillingham and the Explosive Down-G Concept
Great read. Thank you! I especially like the animated diagram followed by a video showing the diagram in action.

Texas Names Quinn Ewers Starting QB
It is because of this that I trust that TT and Butters will get plenty of snaps this year, whether or not they get snaps in the first game. Give TT and Butters at least a quarter each in game 2.

Report: Top College Football Recruit Signs with Mega Agency
I believe that I read when NIL first came out that a student-athlete could hire an agent. Makes sense. How is a student going to go out and find a job between school and sport? An agent, among other things, is a salesman. He goes out and finds his client business, just like a radio station has salesmen looking for businesses to advertise on their station. A local agent can knock on doors and push their clients as representatives of the business. Having a national agent seems less productive of an idea unless the student is nationally known. For example, last year's underclassman Heisman winner can promote almost anything nationally. (So can his mom... "Did you see my boy win the Heisman? That's because I fed him Campbell's Soup.")

Mario Cristobal: Quarterback Killer
Interesting. Is this what happened to Tyler Shough in 2020? He started out great, but his confidence was nil by the end of the season.

Alani Noa Commits to USC...Ducks Have No OL Commits in 2023
Love the optimism. More realistic is a single 4 star... but, hey... ¡let's Dream BIG!

Lanning Says He Doesn't Know If There's A QB Leader Post-Scrimmage
There is a difference: no separation because all 3 are bad... no separation because all 3 are great... no separation because all 3 are so-so. I'll take the middle option. It is what DL was implying. It would be great to have three great options every week. tOSU's third string QB beat us in the playoffs in only his THIRD start to win the National Championship in 2014. His first start is when he won the B1G championship game. His second start was a win against Alabama in the first round of the playoffs. I hope our third string QB is that good at the end of the year.

Breaking News: Linebacker Jerry Mixon is a Duck!
This is interesting. Not on Rivals radar much??? Thankfully, he is on someone's radar. We'll see what Rivals says about him as the year progresses.

USC Fans Do NOT Want Oregon in the B1G...Whew!
Too bad Oregon isn't playing USC this year. I sure hope we don't meet in the PAC-12 championship. That would mean that they won a few more games than they should have. Why didn't we play them for the PAC 12 championship last year??? Where were they? It would have been a perfect opportunity for USC to beat Oregon because we had a head coach who didn't have his head in the game. Are we going to play them in 2023? I sure hope so. We want to give them a good send off to the BIG. I, for one am very happy to be in the PAC. It was a big adjustment when we weren't the PAC-8 any more, looks like we will be the PAC-10 again. I look forward to USC and UCLA, hat in hand, tail between their legs, humbly asking to be let back into the PAC. I, for one, would say, "Sure! Welcome back! What took you so long?" It is always good when a Prodigal comes home, after they waste all their money in a country far away and end up eating pig food before they finally come to their senses.

Athlon Sports College Football Top 25 Rankings
Three PAC-12 teams in the top 10????????? That is a little love. Probably a little too much. Two bits says Oregon finishes higher than USC. What is really a head scratcher is Miami at #20. After reading all the obstacles in the article, I fail to see how the best coaches in the world are going to get them to #20. And how does having "facility upgrades" coming in the future help them this year?? It may help them recruit this year, but recruiting this year won't help them win this year.

Some Nice Quotes From Ty
It looks like Nix will probably start game 1. What would be nice is if game 2 goes a little like the Spring Game: Nix starts the first quarter and if he has the ball at the end of it, he finishes the drive in the second. Butterfield finishes the first half. Thompson starts the 3rd quarter and if he has the ball at the end of it, he finishes the drive in the 4th. Butterfield then finishes the game. If they planned to do that, Thompson would know he is the starter in the second half (and will be ready to go) and Butterfield could possibly get more snaps than each of the other two. Game 3: start the best man from how the first two games went. Rest of the season: Get a lead early enough that back-ups get meaningful snaps almost every game. If the starter ever goes down, let's have someone ready to take over for a change.

Sabrina...Holy Crap!
Left handed... dribbling, driving left... long pass... smaller window than it looks (because of how long the pass was). Yes, very nice....

WHERE is the Most Inexpensive Place to Retire?
My inlaws just retired and after many years of research and visiting different places, they decided on Bulgaria. Their biggest concern was cost. If cost was my only concern, I know of at least 5 houses in different parts of Mexico that I could live rent free, just for taking care of the place. I won´t because I want to live close to kids and grandkids.
