One impression I had is that Bo still can be coached. One thing that has been repeated here and throughout the media (and during every game) is that Bo is still inconsistent after 4 years in the game. What I am referring to is Bo's use of the out of bounds pass. Without doubt KD and DL have been drilling that into his head since the Georgia game. From what we saw yesterday, maybe it is starting to sink in... a little. He didn't seem to force any (many?) dumb throws through non-existent windows. Instead, he threw the ball away to live another down. It worked.

I am one who does NOT WANT Oregon to leave the PAC. To me, there is a lot of upside with staying. I am aware that I have zero say in the matter.

When Dan Fouts was earning his spot in the Hall of Fame with the San Diego Chargers, he gave a tell. Before EVERY pass play he licked his fingers just before going under center. He NEVER licked his fingers before a run play... ...unless he did the opposite. He could go the whole season indicating run or pass on every play. But it was all on purpose. Only in an important game, on an important play of that game, he would break the pattern to gain an advantage. Dan threw for 43,040 yards and 254 touchdowns. He also threw 242 interceptions. Did the strategy work, or not?

As much as that sounds good. I think it is more important to root for the PAC 12. Oregon State and Washington State improved the PAC's profile in the world. If USC, UW, CAL, and UO come through this weekend, the PAC's stature in the world grows. You want Oregon to be top 6 by the end of the year? Beating a ranked UW, a ranked OSU, and a ranked Utah, on the way to beating a ranked USC in the championship game is a great way to get there... (tough my personal preference is beating OSU twice - an undefeated OSU at the end of the regular season and a one loss OSU in the championship game).

The poor guy followed the Wizard of Westwood... IN Westwood. He took the team to the final 4 but failed to win the championship. The fan base wanted his head, and he was gone not long after.

A couple weeks ago this was brought up. The comment was that DL would not chew the guy out on national TV, but rather handle it in private and then in practice. The tell will be if you ever see that guy do it again. If he doesn't, someone talked to him.

It would be almost hard for Samford to not score more than the Ducks. Even if Georgia's goal is to pitch a shutout, accidents do happen. Two bits says Georgia did a lot more studying and prepping for Oregon than they ever will on Sanford.
