Lanning’s Culture Is Paying Dividends in November
OregonDucks replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
What’s ironic is that Cristobal also coached at Bama and wanted Oregon to play physical football. Lanning and Lupoi have actually done it. -
I love those uniforms and wish we were wearing just green and yellow for this Civil War.
-
My personal favorite play against Oregon State was Keenan Howry’s punt return for a TD. If I recall correctly, the rain started to come down even harder immediately after this TD to the cheers of the Oregon fans. It was like we were getting a little assist from someone up above.

There’s always this gem.

Just like NCAA basketball there will be lots of talk about the bubble teams and who got “left out.” If they do it with a field of 64+ they’ll certainly do it with football.

Lanning’s Culture Is Paying Dividends in November

Having the depth to rotate guys in and out also has a huge benefit. It saves wear and tear over a long season, while also developing the 2s and 3s. -
As of right now, I’m not sure how much more respect the PAC-12 could get. Washington is now ranked in the top 4 in the college football playoff rankings and Oregon is the highest ranked one loss team. If Oregon wins out they should be in the playoffs. Look dominant doing so to leave no doubt.

Lanning’s Culture Is Paying Dividends in November

I can’t recall a more physical Oregon football team. They flat out punish and beat up opponents on both sides of the ball. Teams do not look the same after they play Oregon. That is part of the culture that Lanning and company are creating in Eugene. -
Just Came to My Senses About the Pac-12
OregonDucks replied to Duckman60's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It’ll be interesting to see if Lanning takes his foot off the gas against Oregon State and Washington, if given the opportunity. Seems like if Oregon wants to ensure a spot in the playoffs and Bo the Heisman, we need to dominate our remaining opponents. -
If Oregon and Washington are playing in the conference championship game, can we request B1G refs?
-
I guess your team’s record matters only if you don’t play in the SEC.

That pick in the Colorado game happened right in front of me. The receiver had a step or two on the DB. It was a good decision and if Bo had put some more air under the ball it likely would have been a TD. That just shows you the level that Bo has been playing at: 1st pick - good decision, just a little off on the throw 2nd pick - deflection off his receiver’s hands in what should have been a routine catch That’s it! Bo has been nearly flawless the entire season and is leading the #1 scoring offense in all of college football with currently the highest QB completion rate in CFB history.

Yes, I feel it. This year’s team is different. However, one of the biggest differences this year, is that there is no team that is head and shoulders better than everyone else, like we’ve seen with Georgia or Alabama in prior seasons. Any team that makes the college football playoffs this year has a legitimate shot to win the national championship. That is why I’m really hoping the Ducks can make it this year. They are as good as any team in the country, led by the Heisman Trophy front runner. GO DUCKS!!! Beat the Beavs.
-
I could be wrong but I believe that he currently has the highest season completion percentage in NCAA history. Hopefully he’ll keep it up. That would be an amazing record to break.
-
I doubt that Bo would have transferred to Oregon, if Mario were still the coach.

“Bo Nix entered Saturday as the Heisman favorite, listed at +110 odds to take home college football's most prestigious individual award. Following his incredible performance in Oregon's commanding 49-13 win over Arizona State, it's probably safe to say that the Heisman Trophy is Nix's to lose at this point. Nix threw for 404 yards and a career-high six touchdowns — all in the first half — in the Ducks' victory. His six TD passes tied the Oregon single-game record and gave him 40 total touchdowns (35 passing, five rushing) through 11 games this season.” 2023 Heisman Watch: Bo Nix solidifies his spot as Heisman favorite | Fox Sports AMP.FOXSPORTS.COM Oregon QB Bo Nix solidified his spot as the Heisman favorite following a 404-yard... Wow, just wow! What an incredible story that would be and a deserving young man, who has worked his tail off, through adversity, to become one of the best QBs in college football.

Ducks Must Beat Beavs for Pac Championship Game Participation
OregonDucks replied to HDuck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I disagree. The team’s first objective should always be to win a conference championship, followed by making the playoffs and finally winning a national championship. Winning the conference championship should never be considered meaningless and would be a huge accomplishment for the players, particularly Bo Nix who has never won a college conference championship. GO DUCKS!!! -

The tie breakers for the PAC-12 championship game are so lame. They should just take the two highest rated teams. -
I can’t do it. GO BEAVS!!!

“This is a really poorly coached team. The penalties, the really bad special teams play, the questionable play calling, line play, defense out of position every play, ect...“ “1-5 in last 6 games…and our one win was by 1 pt to Cal. This is Helton bad. Maybe even worse.” Sooner Fan: “I really am sorry you guys got stuck with Riley. You truly have my condolences. He will set your program back even further than Helton.” “Next year is going to be ugly. We play big 10 plus LSU and ND. I am already calling for a 4-8 season.” ”I hope Riley goes to A&M”

Chip still has a chance to win 9 games this year. Trojan fan meltdowns are music to my ears!

He had a few pass breakups in the first half. -

That wasn’t a good decision. Looks like his arm might have been hit but TT tried to force one. Something to learn from. -

Beautiful throw by Ty Thompson for the TD. TT has looked so much better than last year. I am increasingly confident that he he could be a solid starting QB for the Ducks next year in the B1G. -
