Could be a flurry of commits and perhaps even flips to OBD in the wake of yesterday's win over tOSU.

There were over a dozen high ranked Blue Chipers in attendance at Autzen and what 18 year old kid wouldn't want to be a part of that.

Imagine being a five star kid this morning contemplating whether to play for Day or Lanning. The game itself was very even but in the coaching department, Lanning absolutely owned Day. He also kept Kelly's offense to ten second half points and only three in the fourth quarter. Recruiting might have been the biggest victory on the day (pun intended).

The environment last night.  The fans.  Gameday.  The level of competition.

Let's look big picture folks.  No more Saban to play for.  Aside from Texas, the SEC is not a powerhouse this year.  OBD just beat tOSU.  In front of a rabid crowd.

Who wouldn't want to play at Autzen for DL?

Oregon Ducks take over No. 1 spot in 2026 recruiting rankings after latest commitment

Dan Lanning and the Oregon Ducks are winning on the field and on the recruiting trail.

After a masterful 32-31 victory over Ohio State, the No. 2 ranked Ducks picked up another big-time victory on Sunday, landing a commitment from 4-star defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui, the No. 96 player and No. 8 defensive lineman in the 2026 class.

With the commitment, Oregon’s 2026 class moved into the No. 1 spot in the national rankings, with a total of six commitments, five of whom are blue-chippers ranked inside the top 130 in the nation.

Headlined by 5-star OT Kodi Greene, and buoyed by 4-star RB Tradarian Ball, 4-star QB Jonas Williams, and 4-star DL Tony Cumberland, Dan Lanning is clearly building one of the strongest recruiting classes of his career, and he’s using wins like we saw in Autzen Stadium on Saturday night to do so.

Love keeping the big guys out West and away from USC! The Mater Dei to Eugene pipeline continues.

No more Saban

This is going to be big each year that passes.

If Bama drops another game this year I'm not going to say their recruiting class will crumble but the 2026 class might be a whole lot more difficult to put together.

I can’t get the postgame interview with NBC right after the game out of my mind.

Dan Lanning has the PERFECT temperament for all this. He was so amped and enthusiastic surrounded by all the fans that stormed the field.

His love and passion for the game is undeniable and exudes from him!!

And then, as the camera panned away, you could see Lanning, raised arm/fist, with the crowd surrounding him going wild.

What an unforgettable scene!

Wasn't Mater Dei once owned by the U of Southern California? 😁

And then his last statement in the post game press conference DL said “if you see any good players, tell them to come here.” Love it!

Bama ONE more lost game?

Saturday - At No. 11 Tennessee

10/26 - Vs. No. 19 Mizzou

11/9 - At No. 8 LSU

11/23 - At Oklahoma - Dangerous in Norman

11/30 - Vs. Auburn - You Never Know?

I'll concede 11/16 - Have Mercy on Mercer.

Bama is No. 7 based on yesterday and not today.

We are currently No. 2 on Rivals, and again....Rivals is always tougher.  But the team ahead of us simply has more recruits at the moment, and may end up losing some of them!  😉

Mr. FishDuck

That game is going to pay recruiting dividends for a long time.

Now, Tomuhini Topui is a Rivals 4-Star who Oregon competed with offers from Georgia, Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, USC, and Washington!

The Eugene outfit that supplies food for the training table has to love the Ducks.

I've been googling this with no luck. Anyone have a link to this interview right after the game (on the field)?

Not the interview, but gives you an idea how emotional this was for him. It ends just before he was interviewed.
