OregonDucks No. 1 Share Posted January 2 It was a pleasure watching you play football this year and over the past several, and grow as young men. We appreciate everything that you gave to the University of Oregon. You were terrific ambassadors for the program and the University, and will succeed wherever life takes you. To seniors and juniors entering the NFL draft: "Once a Duck, always a Duck!" 2 3 5 3

Nevada Dawg No. 8 Share Posted January 2 While I knew this could happen' that doesn't mean it is any easier to just shrug off. I told my local Duck friends that I wish Oregon would have lost a regular season game to have had the the opportunity of learning from the experience. Kirby Smart said he other day that while he hates to lose, this year's Dawg team improved more in the week following each of the two losses than was he case in weeks following wins. He felt that it taught the team that they could lose and that helped to focus undivided attention on what they needed to accomplish to best the next opponent, OBD never had such an opportunity this year and I'd bet CDL was at least a bit concerned about it. So far, all the bye teams have lost. The only one remaining is (gulp) my Dawgs. I, at least, hope hat the curse of he bye is overcome tomorrow afternoon. 1
PittDuck No. 9 Share Posted January 2 The 2024 edition of OBD was wonderful to watch and fun to root for. 13-0, B1G Champions, won our first B1G Championship game after we were already champions. Beat the tails off the Beavers, outlasted Ohio State at home, Wrapped up the Wolverines in the Big House, Bested the Badgers, Hammered the Huskies! What a Season! Thank you OBD! 2

That was my exact sentiment going into the Wisconsin game. I do think the CCG was a lesson though. The team's resolve was tested and they passed. I absolutely believe the layoff was a factor. There was no margin for error against an elite turn like Ohio State, and we suffered from the haze while they were in complete auto pilot. Ohio State expected to drill us like that in October. Nobody had shown the blue print for showing the Ducks down, and Stein attached exactly like I would have because the Buckeyes were not expecting the level of talent they were facing. This team was good enough to win yesterday. But flaws are flaws and I'm telling you right now, Cover Two is useless if the safeties are looking at the QB. Georgia fans can tell you firsthand because a Freshman QB won a Natty simply because their safety got caught looking into the backfield instead of shutting down that left side fade route. There isn't much I'd change from this year. OBD future is as bright as the sun. Edited January 2 by Mike West 2

Worst day as a duck fan in years. I totally disagree. Go look at Twitter and the Bleacher Report boards. Oregon is getting trolled hard. Not just by the usual subjects from UW, USuC and Beavis. It’s coming from all over the country. That doesn’t happen if you’re not nationally relevant. It happens when people are relieved because they’re scared s***less of you winning and taking their failing grip on the power they once held. Lanning is consistently recruiting top 5 classes and PK will pay for top transfers. Oregon has had two top 10 finishes in three years under DL and he is just now collecting a roster filled with 5 star recruits. The future is bright. That’s all of the therapy I’m giving on this forum today. I hope it helps. Remember, the first session is free. The next one will cost you. 1 2
noDucknewby No. 13 Share Posted January 2 I always say the same thing after a bad loss. No matter how bad we feel as fans the players feel way worse. After all they're the ones that put in all the work and then got the crap beat out of them. I also like to put it in these terms: If at the beginning of the season we were told we would finish 13-1 as B1G champs with wins over Michigan, tOSU and Penn St plus smoking the rodents and fuskies, most of us would be ecstatic. Perspective is hard. 1
