I'm going with NBA Sixth Man of the Year Payton Pritchard. Corso would be a sentimental pick, but He may be tired of traveling.

Potential Celebrity Guest Pickers on ESPN's College GameD...

The No. 3 Oregon Ducks will have their second game in a row featured on the popular ESPN's College GameDay broadcast, as the weekly morning football show announ

Thank you, Doctor. Pritchard would be a great choice, but with the Celtics in preseason practice, is he available?

With nonagenarian Coach Corso retired, how about octogenarian Uncle Phil? 😁

No.

I saw Neil Everett listed as a potential guest picker. He has been a great ambassador for the program and school.

Everett is another great choice. I think Ahmad Rashad would be a good choice as well. Much to my surprise, he's never been guest picker. I believe Prichard is in the pre-season, but he doesn't have a game on Saturday and doesn't play until Sunday evening.

I am going to guess Cole Hocker.

"Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham said on her 'Show Me Something' podcast that she plans to be in Eugene for Indiana at Oregon on Saturday — to 'do some College GameDay type stuff,'"

it seems unlikely that Cunningham, a Missouri grad with no real ties to Oregon, would be given that role over a famous Oregon alum. Then again, the show did that exact thing last week by having podcaster and comedian Theo Von in Tuscaloosa for the Alabama-Vanderbilt game.

Perhaps Cunningham's ties to Indiana will result in her being a Von-like hostile guest working against the home crowd?

I don't care who we get as a guest picker for GameDay but can "we" please, the love all things Ducky, get every fan in Autzen to wear yellow??! It was awesome to see all of PSU fans, some Ducks, in white! I don't care if you "don't look good in yellow," it would be really nice to see some unity!

The only game I remember, ever, where every fan wore the same color was "Fright Night" against USC (black is not a color). That was, still, the loudest game I have ever attended at Autzen. Side note: Beaver Stadium was loud but not even close to Autzen's second loudest game, the *uckeyes!

Sixth Man, Fast PP would be a good guest picker; but likely being elevated to the starting 5 in Boston this year, the gash on his face and the need to be ready for their upcoming game, I would be surprised if he was the guest picker this time.

Kenjon Barner was on the sidelines last week and in the latest Ducks vs Them video. So maybe they tab Kenjon for the spot this time. He's pretty relevant now.

Neil Everett has a new sports show and worked for ESPN; so, it would be a way to promote his new show. However, I am going to guess they go with Kenjon Barner.

I'm usually wrong on these things. But, that's my guess anyway.

Agree. I was at the Penn St. game, though the pageantry was impressive with over 111,000, I still think Autzen was louder.

What would be impressive, at the Indiana game is Autzen in yellow with green pom pom's or towels waving in the stands.

I noticed at the Penn St. game they had bins of white pom pom’s available for fans to grab for the game.

South Carolina does this. They have white towels with the home and opposing team logos printed on them that they give out before every game. Of course, they have to uphold their reputation for having the wildest pre-game opening with the playing of "Sandstorm". Those towels play a huge part in the overall atmosphere throughout the game.

To think that the towel waving craze started in the 70's when a bunch of drunken yokels from Pittsburgh raided their own linen closets at the suggestion of Myron Cope.

I agree with you about wearing yellow to show unity. The “lightning strikes” game against Michigan was the first time I remembered that happening and it looked amazing in person, on TV and in pictures. They were also selling cheap, non-branded “lightning strikes” T-shirts (~$10) for the game which probably helped. Unfortunately there are too many stubborn Duck fans (“I will wear what I want to wear.”).

I completely disagree with your comment about the Penn State game. My wife and I could not understand why Duck fans would wear white. The “white out” was for the benefit and support of Penn State not Oregon, and our AD asked our fans to wear green. But I digress.

If you are going to the game on Saturday please wear yellow. The bookstore and stores will probably sell yellow ponchos, if it is raining.

Yellow in the stands really shows up the best on tv.

This is the key phrase right here. You can wear an old dirt brown and yellow shirt from the Mario era as long as you show up instead of selling your tickets to opposing fans. The amount of Ohio State fans at Autzen last year was pretty bad.

Methinks the rain is going to hamper the yellow-out, as fans layer up.

Early in the year when the weather is warm/dry enough we can all wear the color of the week easily. But when it gets cold and/or rainy, that's different. I don't have jackets in all the possible colors, so I do my best, wearing yellow under whatever outwear I need for the game.

I have yellow, black and a green cheap ponchos for rain games. I'm "covered". 😉

On Saturday the best "outerwear" may well be a yellow rain slicker. I'll be wearing my Duck sweats while doing my recliner exercises.

As my son would say, RIP being able to see the game with all the towels in way. No thanks.
