18 hours ago18 hr Moderator No. A Happy Thanksgiving to the OBD Family. As you gather with others tomorrow:Count your blessings and those of your families and friends. Practice forbearance and patience, even with that crazy uncle with the tin foil hat or the aunt that sneaks turkey and stuffing into her purse to take home to her twelve cats. Be kind to the relation that sits on the opposite end of the political spectrum from you (or is a UW fan), and won't shut the **** up about it. Smile, think lofty thoughts and help clear the table and rinse the dishes. Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday, rooted in our humble origins and the need for a common currency of individual rights and laws that protect the diversity of our populace. That currency remains a magnet that draws people to our shores. We are not perfect, nor has our historical execution of liberty been ideal, but the achievable dream of a more perfect union endures.I know this is off topic for Oregon sports and If I have annoyed anyone with my sappy message, I do apologize. Nevertheless:Happy Thanksgiving and best to all tomorrow.Go Ducks and Beat the Fuskys!

7 hours ago7 hr No. I saw two Turkeys got pardoned yesterday. I hope nobody is sick, and decides they want Duck or Gator as a replacement. I would say Beaver or Bulldog is okay, but my sports fandom doesn't dictate everything in my life. Happy Thanksgiving!!!Psst.. Don't eat the last piece of pie. I got in trouble for doing that one year. Save yourself for Saturday.Your desert can be sending Fisch off to Florida with a loss.

3 hours ago3 hr Administrator No. As we are giving thanks, I wish to convey my extreme gratitude to all the volunteers who make this forum work so well. And for the tons of "polite and respectful" OBD members who post, start threads, and are so reasonable with differing opinions. (Strong opinions are encouraged!)The majority out there do NOT want civility, but this community cherishes it, and I am so thankful for all of you. Mr. FishDuck
