My speculation is that SUC is offering more money, but he wants to go to OBD.

If you’re talking about Chris Henry then it’s Texas who allegedly has the biggest offer on the table.

No.

I assume this change is due to Hartline leaving for South Florida. Is it a given that tOSU is a no?

Certainly hoping the Ducks can reel Chris Henry Jr in! Great recruiting class either way though!

Congrats my Duck friends, this class will pay dividends and I’m very happy to see it!

No.

here's hoping he wants to be part of a deep and impactful receiver room.

Thank you, Charles.

14 fewer recruits than SC and yet, so close. But Oregon is winning the battle of the average recruit ranking. 2nd in 247's top 10 and only slightly behind Bama.

How about two Left Coast schools ahead of Ohio State, Michigan, and, OMG! Penn State.

UW's class is ranked No. 13 by 247. I believe this is UW's highest ranking ever.

Eight B1G teams ranked in the top 30 by 247. I think this could be an all-time B1G showing for the conference.

Considering quality over quantity, how about Billy Bob Belichick at UNC? 39 recruits signed, and the Tar Heels are not in the top 15. And, BTW, and with TB still missing, the Patriots under Ohio State grad and possible COY, Mike Vrabel, are 10-2, in the POs, and QB Drake Maye could be the POY.

It would be sweet to finish first and score another win over USC.😁

Hopefully, Oregon gets at least one of Lott or Henry. Both are going to be major impact players.

I truly believe that this success is a direct result of Dan Lanning. Critics will certainly say that “well, it’s just a product of Phil Knight and all that Nike money.”

Ok, so sure, the money helps make it possible, but Lanning is cut from the same cloth as Kirby Smart in this regard. He is ultra competitive and can’t stand to lose, so he tirelessly works his butt off to give his team any advantage that he can. Such as winning in recruiting HS players, and solidifying talent levels through the portal. What’s more is that much like Kirby, he not only knows what to do and gives his all to accomplish it, he is learning how to accomplish it!

I hated losing Lanning, but It’s great to see him at the only other D-1 team I love, and it’s great to see that like Kirby, he is completely loyal to his team! I haven’t heard a whisper of any big time programs even making slight rumblings of trying to attract him. Lanning must have shut that down immediately before it even got started. Otherwise I’m sure he would have been a major target in this crazy coaching carousel.

This is why I'd love to see an Oregon/Georgia rematch in the CFP, it'd be one hell of a game.

Oh yeah, I too would love to see that! I’d also be a nervous wreck, because for me it would guarantee a bit of heartbreak, but also a silver lining. I’d be happy to take it though, I would just have to remember my Father’s true but cliche saying “You can’t have your cake and eat it too!”😂

The biggest 5-star recruits still unsigned after Day 1 of the Early Signing Period

Chris Henry Jr

The Ohio State Buckeyes lost Offensive Coordinator and Wide Receivers coach Brian Hartline on the morning of Signing Day. The news seemingly came as a surprise to 5-star wide receiver Chris Henry Jr who was expected to sign, but he is now weighing his options. Oregon and USC will both try to flip Henry, but Ohio State will hope to keep him in the class.

 Quote

UPDATE: 5️ Ohio State commit Chris Henry Jr. has NOT sent in his paperwork to Ohio State.

"He's weighing options, according to him, at both Oregon and USC...

This isn't a money thing. This is clearly a (Brian) Hartline thing. He wants to make sure he makes the right decision."…

Kendre' Harrison

While some schools are on high alert for a potential flip, Oregon isn't on alert with 5-star tight end Kendre' Harrison. The plan for Harrison has been to sign on Thursday which could give Dan Lanning his 5th 5-star in this class.

Jalen Lott

Like Richard Anderson, the Oregon Ducks haven't officially announced the signing of 5-star recruit Jalen Lott. On Wednesday, Jalen Lott had a ceremony where he announced he was signing with the Oregon Ducks, which means it should be official sooner rather than later.

Oregon's program-best class is currently No. 2 nationally with path to top-ranked class

13241293.jpg?fit=bounds&width=644&heightThe Ducks have the nation's No. 2 ranked recruiting class. It's the best in program-history, and there's a path to No. 1.

Indiana is sitting at 32 (24/7). They’ll still be a top 10 team next season.

To go along with what Charles just posted:

Oregon surges ahead for 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr. after Brian Hartline's OSU exit

Momentum has shifted sharply toward Oregon, with multiple Rivals analysts logging predictions for the Ducks to flip the Five-star Plus+ talent.

According to On3, Henry’s growing relationship with coach Dan Lanning, coupled with a strong NIL package, has positioned Oregon at the top entering Thursday. The Ducks, ranked No. 3 nationally, are pushing to pair Henry with fellow five-star Jalen Lott, whose signing is expected once final contract language is settled.

Ohio State coach Ryan Day reportedly made a late pitch Wednesday night, selling the fact of the Buckeyes’ nine first-round receiver selections and the program’s development structure. Day also noted Oregon has yet to produce a first-round wideout.

Texas made an aggressive NIL offer, but Henry has never visited Austin. USC and West Virginia have also made efforts, but neither are serious.

A final decision could come as soon as Thursday.

Heavens! Moore, Stewart (if he returns) and Henry Jr, along with McClellan, Bair and a host of 4* talent in that WR room next year. With Dante slinging the rock. Wow.

No.

🤯. Imagine a 2-deep of:

Stewart, McClellan, Moore, Henry, Lott and Bair.

Might need to run the 1980s version of the Houston Oilers run and shoot offense. 🤣

I believe Ol' Buddy Ryan called the Run and Shoot, the "Chuck and Duck."
