No. 1 WR Chris Henry Jr. Chooses Ohio State....

Featured Replies

Henry announced for Ohio State.

Oregon has the No. 3 ranked receiver in the nation along with the No. 15th best receiver in the US signed in this class. Plus we add Brandon Bair, one of the fastest players in America to the team this fall as well as he returns from a two-year mission.

So next year we have Evan Stewart, Dak, McClellan, and a ton of talented freshmen. We are in GREAT shape at receiver...

What a line up of teams going after him.

Didn't know LSU was involved, but Kiffin still wants a say.

How fun, an encore! Get you popcorn and enjoy the show, literally.

Based on the info in the article, I'd say 95% chance he still ends up at Ohio State with a sweetened pot. He and his agent played the hand they were dealt well.

Or at least LSU's NIL boosters want a say!

Seeing these "hostage" tactics are bit disheartening . . . but that's the way it is for the time being.

Not sure why every Top 5/10 player doesn't simply "not sign", and say they're "weighing their options". A flood of teams will rush in with their actual highest and best offer.

Nogiating is an art form made significantly more complex when 19 year olds are the seller.

In this situation I do think he was caught off guard with Hartline leaving who was the reason for Ohio State becoming WR U. He wisely took a step back, then his agent didn't let the crisis go to waste.

Now we get to see if Day and company were able to address the loss of services of Hartline to his satisfaction.

Thanks, I wasn't able to watch. It was to be expected. He's been committed there forever. I don't blame Oregon for trying. Now get back to coaching the team to win some playoff games!

So much for the Oregon-Uncle Phil NIL troll narrative. Sorry to lose him as he would have been a great addition, but the Duck WR room is loaded and with the addition of Lott and Hampton will be just fine.

Cue Ryan Day complaining about how the earl signing period shouldn't take place during championship weekend. I bet Cignetti was loving this drama.

Got to give the rest of the country a fighting chance to compete. Jeez this team is going to be freaking awesome for years to come!

No coach, including Ryan Day and Dan Lanning, should assume more than a one-season commitment these days.

I get the feeling that while Oregon is competitive with anyone, when it comes to NIL, it doesn’t want to set the market, especially for QB and skilled players. Thus Oregon loses out on the top, top recruits from time to time when it comes down to a NIL bidding war. Best of luck to Chris Henry, Jr. except when he plays Oregon.

More reason to hate Ohio State and want to beat them on the field. We have an outstanding recruiting class and I wouldn’t trade Coach Lanning for anyone.

Paying top dollar for high school kids is a risky endeavor. Dave Portnoy contributed $12M to get Bryce Underwood to Michigan but is now saying he’s not going to pay any more money to keep him. Underwood was good but he move the needle that much.

Awful Announcing

Dave Portnoy won't commit more NIL money to help Michigan...

Michigan alum Dave Portnoy put money in the NIL pot to snag Bryce Underwood last year, but won't commit any more to keep him in Ann Arbor.

I hear you, but we need to let those who trickle in over the next day or so see the news. It will naturally drop...
