Here is the link for the story

Much like storm damage, tough to figure it out until the storm is over. Right now I am waiting patiently, and hope the hiring committee isn't!

Would DeRuyter leave if Wilcox was a contender for this position?  I don't know either guy so I don't know how they worked together down at Cal.

Wasn't DeRuyter a head coach previously if so isn't it likely that he was told no to the big chair?

Sources tell FootballScoop that Marcel Yates is expected to join DeRuyter in leaving Eugene for Lubbock.

Hopefully, it's addition by subtraction.

Wonder if it has to do with the HC Mullens is looking hard at?

It's clear to me the team's performance in the last three weeks had a lot to do with Coaches looking for their next jobs. I think that's shameful given how much money they make. This doesn't all just sort of happen in a  few days. Mario is out recruiting Oregon commits right now, having schedule in-home with one of his big D line recruits out of Texas. So, it's gonna get bad here real quick unfortunately.

Sorry. I don't buy it.

AB's ebb and flow had more to do with all the outcomes.

Poor at Utah, lose.

Pretty good vs the Beavs, win.

Abysmal in Las Vegas, lose.

I saw Dye, KT, Sewell, McGee, and more working their butts off to compensate.

Word out of Salt Lake City is that Utah is unhappy with DeRuyter's decision...multiple offensive players were saying "he made our team better".....

*Sarcasm....but maybe not far off*

Well its just gonna be a cluster for awhile.

Inevitable under these circumstances.

As many have said, on this site ...

Let's get this hire right. Remember to the new coach and his incoming staff, this type of chaos and recruiting scramble are......

Business as usual. The nature of their profession.

I guess the bottom line were there many of the fans happy with what this coaching staff did with all that talent? Many were hoping for a change and here it comes.

This move is a rational one.  He is solving for the ‘known’ rather than risk the new HC letting him go and find himself unemployed and hunting for a role.

Well, at this point Coach Wilson is still at UO.

DeRuyter’s defense underperformed the talent level of the roster.

May have been because of injuries, head coaching influence, or a poor offense.

In the end, Coach D gets an F and moves on.

Is that, er. a, uh... Confident pose?

For some reason, if made me think of the old Keanu Reeves flick, "The Replacements".

Was hoping he'd stay for some continuity.  Means 3rd new OC and DC in last 3 years. Ouch.

This is because they are going to make way for:

Head Coach = Wilcox

OC = Musgraves/Mclendon

DC = Sirmon/Heyward

Mclendon and Heyward are top notch recruiters and Wilson has become really solid as well.

Better days are ahead with Oregonians coaching.

Exactly. This is ridiculous and it needs to stop now. It's entirely disrespectful to the players........and to be honest it's disrespectful to the fans as well.
