Cignetti Signs New 8 Year Contract at 11.6 Million per Year...With Indiana
I don’t know what motivates Coach Cignetti. Perhaps he wants a chance to win a national championship and believes that another program will give him an opportunity to accomplish that goal? Perhaps he and/or his family doesn’t enjoy living in Indiana and would prefer somewhere else (sunny Southern California, middle of nowhere Pennsylvania)? I hope he stays because I enjoy the parity in college football but he will ultimately have to decide what is most important to him and his family. His $15M buyout will not stop programs from pursuing him.

No, Oregon got THREE fired. Gundy of Oklahoma State, Bray of Oregon State, and Franklin of Penn State. We DID help one get a massive raise and extension! (Cignetti) Is Oregon the new measuring stick these days?

Cignetti Signs New 8 Year Contract at 11.6 Million per Year...With Indiana
Cignetti’s reported buyout is $15M. Is that really going to scare away any of the potential top programs, particularly one who just paid their head coach ~$50M to leave? CFB-HQ On SICurt Cignetti's new buyout won't scare off potential suitorsIndiana head football coach Curt Cignetti has his signature on a brand new contract that will guarantee him at least $100 million from Indiana University should

Oregon Ducks Take Lumps, Luggage for Rutgers Reckoning
Jordan, great article, thank you! You summed it up and left no stone unturned. Last night while out at dinner my youngest son echoed your opinion about never seeing Dante throw a screen pass or execute a check down again. He played corner in college 20 years ago. He said thosr are surrender plays when the. OC and QB have no plan. Naturally the QB takes most of the heat after a loss. But you are correct that this loss was a blend of Dante, the O line and play calling by WS. Get creative coach! Darn........ After 6 games it is evident to this Duck fan that Dante is no tbreat to run the ball. Both Bo and Dillion had designed run plays to keep the D off balance. Many times, when the pressure came both Bo and Dillion were running straight ahead, in a lane, for positive gains, first downs and some touchdowns. In the Ducks first 3 BIG games the offense has struggled. Scoring 34 on NW, 17 points in regulation against PSU in regulation and a pathetic 13 points, at home against IU. OBDF members I dont have the answers to what is causing the Duck O to stall out. In my coaching days we ran the ball until they could stop it. Or they packed their defense to plug the holes and then i would have a 2 back set, fake a dive to show run. The other back stays home to block and protect the QB. Then hit slants, post or flys and my check down was the TE dragging over the middle. Just old school, forgotten football from ancient lore. Rutgers can be a redemption game for OBD's. If the Ducks dont put up plus 40 on the Rutgers pourous D, then my frustration will turn to concern to worry. Like you Jordan, i trust the coaches. Go Ducks!

Oof, my fingers are still burning from last week's prediction. But, here we go.. Ducks 42-20 1TO 3 Sacks 245 yds passing Air yards are this low because I hope OBD does a ground and pound on Rutgers. Something that was a week late in coming. Something Tony Soprano would be proud of and Jersey mobster Tony Provenzano probably did to Jimmy Hoffa.

Can Penn State Still Affect the B1G Playoff Picture?
I'd love nothing more than to see PSU pull what UCLALA pulled on them against Indiana or do a Michigan on Bucknutt. It could happen.

All White Uniforms are Back for Rutgers
Oregon is not Penn St nor Wisconsin. Oregon is Oregon. They have adopted multiple unis. Its their tradition. Clothing for the fans isn't what the fans tend to do. Cant seem to get everyone on the same page in the stands so let's just focus on those Screaming Unis this week! Thats the coolest uniform combination I've ever seen. I truly hope that the numbers turn bold Mallard green when the light hits just right. Just....Cool!!!!

Hello My OBD FishDuck Forum Friends! What is your prediction of Oregon versus Rutgers? Take your shot and let's have fun with it... Let's get these predictions started, and remember I look for the differential between your predicted points with both teams from the actual points. I will use the tiebreaker information when needed, so provide all the data below! Entries without ALL the information are invalid, and predictions on other threads don't count. We Have Two New Rules: If two winning scores are the same? The first one who posted wins, automatically. TerryM9 gets 42-6 locked in every time as his. (I love this guy!) Please follow directions, as I need all that is below for tiebreakers: --the winner --the score --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. My prediction is: Oregon 45-20 2 3 251

Things We Can Learn - Concerns About the 4th Quarter Performance...
Defensive Performance Review – Indiana Game Indiana demonstrated a balanced offensive attack with an efficient power run game, recording a 23–14 advantage in first downs. Their ability to sustain drives and control the line of scrimmage provided a clear model of execution we can learn from. Our defensive performance showed strong moments early, but we experienced a noticeable decline in the fourth quarter in each of the last two games. This drop-off indicates a need to improve our finish, and late-game consistency. The issue may not be solely athlete-related — potential contributing factors include player rotation, team depth, and defensive alignment. These areas can create situations where fatigue, and a numbers disadvantage at the line of scrimmage impact overall defensive effectiveness. Next Steps: Review player rotation patterns and evaluate late-game substitutions. Assess alignment strategies to reduce stress on front-line defenders. Continue developing depth to sustain performance through all four quarters.
