  2. DM, you're simply Bearing Up. LOL 😍. The bed in LA was too small. The bed in Eugene is B1G, damn green and just right. Sorry, please BEAR with me. 😁
  3. @James Madison We appreciate your explanation. Sarcasm is hard in the digital age.
  4. Nebraska plays Utah in the Las Vegas Bowl, Whit's final game with Allegiant Stadium packed with Utah fans making a short drive south to Vegas. Dylan Raiola is out with a broken leg, Nebraska's backup QB gets the start.
  5. Nice! Bear really hit his stride mid-season. Tony Tuioti has been instrumental in his development at Oregon. It is cool to see players with NFL potential trusting our coaches to further enhance their skills.
  6. The JMUSportsNews account is not affiliated with JMU. For serious content they are terrible and not worth reading or listening to. For jokes, they can provide a few. Take it for what it is worth.
  7. Per Whittingham’s latest contract extension, he will serve as a “special assistant to the athletics director” following retirement for two years at a salary of $3.45 million per year. more here about his Utah career: https://www.deseret.com/sports/2025/12/12/utah-utes-kyle-whittingham-retiring-leaves-lasting-legacy/

  9. When I consider the motivation people have for an action they take I look for the obvious. I believe Bear is having fun being where he is doing what he’s doing. Why trade what he has for the uncertainty of whatever happens next?
  10. Coach Whitt is a shining star in the disheveled universe of head coaches. He led with hard work, integrity and continual improvement. I will miss him heading Utah football.
  11. I'm not noble...and I'll confess the coffee in my sinuses Burns a little.
  12. Kinda my biggest reason for not wanting the NFL in Portland. The Ducks and lesser so the Beavs are THE teams in Oregon. Sure there are the Blazers but they chronically mismanaged and they are basketball so it doesn't have the same pull as the NFL.
  13. I hope this is thr start of an em-BEAR-issment of riches for next year's class. I am aware that joke is un-BEAR-able and I should feel bad.
  14. You read my mind; with NIL being so high and rightfully so for an experienced player--many who are juniors may decide to return as this announcement and Dante Moore's decision could encourage others to stay and improve their draft stock.
  15. The plot thickens? I always assumed he was a Utah lifer, but Michigan would be lucky to have him IMHO.
  16. Actually, what I read elsewhere was that he was leaving Utah, but could still be interested in a coaching position. Michigan?
  17. DC Morgan Scalley has long been considered a coach-in-waiting, I guess I don't get the Nebraska joke? Congrats KW and enjoy that Utah powder.

  19. Very good news. When Bear was on, he dominated the middle. Another year in DL's (and presumably, Hampton's) system and he's a second to third round pick. No longer a head case, he'll be head of the pack. Hoping for more return dominoes to fall, like Theinemen, Tuioti and Matayo. I think Washington is gone, but he will be a round 1 or 2 pick.
  20. Another P4 head coach job opens. Old foe Kyle Whittingham will retire after the Las Vegas Bowl. Best of luck, Nebraska ☹️. https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/utah-hc-kyle-whittingham-stepping-down-after-21-seasons-will-coach-in-las-vegas-bowl-212750855.html
  21. Whit is retiring from Utah. Good luck, Nebraska, in the LV Bowl. 🥵 https://sports.yahoo.com/college-football/breaking-news/article/utah-hc-kyle-whittingham-stepping-down-after-21-seasons-will-coach-in-las-vegas-bowl-212750855.html
  22. This is astoundingly good news! This will be a massive difference on our defensive line next year, to have a very experienced defensive tackle coming back since I expect Washington to head to the NFL. Wowsa.
  23. This is good, but surprising, news. He played well enough to improve his NFL rating, but maybe another year will have a greater impact on where he'll go in the draft. Of course, there could be other legitimate reasons, like complete his degree or just learning more about life. Whatever his purpose, this is good news all around.
  24. The magic of NIL, I would think Bear would have a good chance to be drafted in the middle rounds.
  25. oregonliveOregon defensive tackle Bear Alexander to return in 2026Oregon will have a key piece back on its interior defensive line in 2026.
  26. In regards to Husky whining and complaints about NIL/portal funding of Oregon football, the Seattle sports scene reminds me of LA, or any other mega city where the victory hungry spot light siphons off support and interest to whoever is doing better. Case in point: at Husky Stadium, I saw numerous purple puppy farm fans wearing Mariner and Seahawks hats or jerseys, and in some cases, both. As in LA, the $$ is there. It just has no loyalty.
