  2. I couldn't find a way to express my frustration with the offensive and defensive calls in the second half against IU. Until I realized the pathway was through some hard-hitting metaphors in poetry. And of course it would have to be set to music. So herewith, the Ambient Poetry Review Of Oregon vs Indiana https://youtu.be/MnWgh4Iv8Sc

Now entering the end stretch of the regular season, attention turns towards Moore's potential NFL decision. Oregon Ducks On SINFL Decision Looms Large for Oregon Quarterback Dante MooreOregon Ducks quarterback Dante Moore is in the midst of a fantastic redshirt sophomore season and has separated himself as the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1
  4. Go far in the PO? With or without a long winter's nap? OBD is in contention for the coveted 5th seed and a home game versus the 12th seed, the G6 representative. Win the opening game as it should, and OBD's 2nd round game in the Cotton or Orange Bowl would be against the lowest-ranked Power 4 champion. The 6th seed this season would also see OBD favored against the 11th seed in Autzen and a bowl matchup against the 3rd seed. Let Indiana and Ohio State beat one another up on December 6th in a 13th game in Indianapolis, with the winner having to go bye-bye for three plus weeks. Make it as the 5th or 6th seed, and I see Oregon playing in a semifinal game in the Fiesta (ideal) or the Peach Bowl. TCB versus the Baggers, er, Badgers 😁, and we'll find out on November 4th how the PO Committee views OBD and its Strength Of Schedule and Strength Of Record to date. (Thank you very little Penn State.) SC is off this week. A 5-2 UW defeat of 5-2 No. 23 Illinois in Seattle would help the Ducks' SOS down the road. The Floyd of Rosedale game from OBD's POV is a push; Iowa and Minnesota are back-to-back on Oregon's schedule. The B1G has some interesting trophy games. Last week, Indiana defeated Michigan State and won a ... Spittoon. Gag! The Floyd of Rosedale trophy carries an impressive name, but it's lipstick on a pig. 🤪 Here's a B1G prediction that is a lock - Rutgers vs. Purdue will draw fewer than four million viewers. 🙃 This Saturday Only, it's OK to Waste Wisky!
  5. I might add Texas Tech to the mix. We're just now seeing the fruits of the influx of oil money that has been getting pumped into that program. They will be a player for years to come. I think what makes Oregon attractive is not just Nike's money, but their vast experience in sports marketing. A&M proved you can buy the best players, but if you don't manage your NIL correctly it can be disastrous.

  7. Thank you, Doctor. There is no ACC or B12 school on the list. Notre Dame may as well be in the Power 2 and would be if the Domers asked the B1G or the SEC for an invitation. No Miami, FSU, Clemson, or UNC. (And BTW, what in Hades happened to roundball on Tobacco Road?) Week after week, the SEC, B1G, and Notre Dame dominate the TV-viewer ratings. To the list of teams that have the resources and the will to win from the top down, I'd add Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and perhaps, Florida. Michigan also has the resources, as do Penn State and USC. The B12 is No. 4 in the Power 4 and fading. The games in the conference are exciting, but the close to entire top-to-bottom parity does not equal multiple teams in the CFB playoffs. However, it only takes one guy to buy a competitive roster, like Cody Campbell at Texas Tech. The restructuring of the ACC, in particular, is simply a matter of time, and teams will be left behind, ala Oregon State and Wazzu. This is why I think Jeff Brohm could leave his Mother Ship for a job in the SEC, or if promised the resources, a return to the B1G. Jeff Brohm at Penn State would be scary. Great post, thank you.
  8. Tony Vitello built a winner in a short time, and was 2024 National Champion at Tennessee, and he just got the manager job for the SF Giants! The Athletic named a couple of candidates to replace him with the 'Vols, and the first one was the Assistant HC, and then Waz. Below is what was written about them. Mark Wasikowski, Oregon Few have built more consistent winners. Since taking over in 2020, Wasikowski has led Oregon to five straight NCAA Tournaments and back-to-back super regional appearances. His Ducks went 42-16 this season with a 22-8 mark in the Big Ten. A former Purdue head coach and Florida and Arizona assistant, Wasikowski is known for fast turnarounds and strong player development, and could bring an immediate national profile. Josh Elander, Tennessee associate head coach The in-house favorite. Players and alumni immediately flooded social media with calls for Elander, who’s been Vitello’s right-hand man since 2017 and was promoted to associate head coach in 2022. A TCU alum and former Arkansas assistant, Elander has been central to Tennessee’s recruiting surge and clubhouse culture, and would provide continuity at a time of transition. I think they will go with Elander, but this does mean that every major college baseball HC job that comes available...

  11. We have faced one very good team this year and failed the test. In that game, our QB looked like a first year starter. Unfortunately, we will not play another national championship contender the rest of the regular season (UW or USC could make the playoffs, if they win the rest of their games but they have too many holes to be serious challengers this year) so we won’t see how we measure up until the post season. I’m just not sure how our offense performs against an Ohio State, Texas, Miami defense, if we couldn’t handle what Indiana threw at us at home. Is Oregon’s defense good enough to win those games, if the offense is only able to score 10-14 points? Hopefully, the team continues to improve each week and Dante completes against our starting defense in practice and they throw everything at him. The Indiana loss seems to have lit a fire under the team’s a#% so I don’t believe that motivation will be an issue.
  12. Hmmm... Didn't know Jordon Davison had a relationship with Belichick 😜
  13. He did play for and graduate from Louisville. He left a B1G job to coach his alma mater. However, I think he would leave if he thought that their commitment to winning a national championship wasn't on par with those who are offering him a job.
  14. Didn’t Brohm attend Louisville? Would he really leave or just leverage a raise?
  15. A few years ago I would have thought that this is a ridiculous statement. How is it that a school such a as Oregon can go around the nation and poach coaches? Then I heard something on Sirius XM radio yesterday that brought me to the new reality. Oregon has become a destination job. There is a radio show on Channel 83 called College Sports Radio. In the afternoon they have a show called Off Campus with former college and NFL players Jacob Hester and EJ Manuel as hosts. They did a segment with one of their guests where they listed the top six college football programs that nobody should ever turn down. Their exact quote was "If one of these schools call, you take the job". In no particular order they all agreed that LSU, UGA, Bama, Ohio State Notre Dame and Oregon fell into that category. Everybody always knew Oregon has great resources with Nike's backing, but I think reality set in when Dan Lanning said he wasn't interested in leaving for Alabama or any other job. Add the fact that many coaches around the nation are never able to hide their envy when talking about Oregon's "vast resources" and "unlimited NIL money". If Oregon is ever in need of a new coach or coordinator there will be a line at the AD's door waiting for an interview.

  17. Alex, great thoughts in your article and a great question to ask...... Are the Ducks ready to go on a run the last 5 games of the regular season. 80% confident they are. Dante still lacks game experience against a strong defense like Iowa or even udub. Dont be fooled by the Rutgers game. DL and WS put Dante and the O in attack mode. On the road can Dante recognize the D alignment and audible out? Its a fair question......... As for the CFP games. The talent will be on the field. The depth will be on the sidelines, oozing with youthful energy and talent. My concern, is our young coaching staff! Do they have what it takes to make in game adjustments? Will they be out schemed or out coached? I am 50/50 on that! Because of the youth and lack of experience with on field leadership? Well the coaches have to fill that gap. Very excited to see what legacy this team leaves. Remember, OBD's cannot fall below #9 to make the playoffs. 10, 11 and 12 are ACC, BIG 12, Group of 5. Ducks must win out! Go Ducks!
  18. It’s early, but it’s already worth asking: Does this 2025 Oregon football team have what it takes to make a legitimate postseason run? Just eight weeks in, has this roster and staff shown enough to prove they’re ready for a real shot at the National Championship? Head coach Dan Lanning has Oregon sitting at 6-1, a record that some might ... Oregon Football: Are the Ducks Postseason Ready?
  19. The thing about Canzano that I have never liked is that he comes off as inauthentic and only chooses angles for clicks. I believe he doesn't care about any of his takes but likes simply likes attention. While I might not appreciate certain people, I always feel more comfortable with people who are authentic and sincere, even if I disagree with them. Come to think of it, that is why I despise LeBron James.
  20. Nobody has any idea if the Ducks are actually any good. The last two times they have been punched in the mouth, they have wilted and not competed. When a Lanning team does poorly, it does so in spectacular fashion. So let's see what happens if we make it to the playoffs and if we have supposedly "won by losing" to Indiana. Until then, nobody knows.
  21. The only Jordon I know is sleeping with the UNC coach. But Michael Jordan on the other hand...
  22. Drones are cool. When completed, the football practice and workout facilities will be second to none, including NFL facilities. Graduating from Oregon in the early eighties nobody would have imagined this level of sophistication as part of Oregon’s future. Nike had still not signed Michael Jordon. So, in an indirect way thanks Michael. Uncle Phil, and all of our other Boosters rock.
  23. At the beginning of the year, I posted in YouTube that people were sleeping on Bama. Got boat raced in the comments after they lost to FSU. I also think it's Bama and Ohio State. It's tough to put recruit these two. And Ohio State is the new one. Since 2000 that have all but dominated the B1G. OBD are in the conversation. I'm happy as long as that remains the situation. It takes some luck for a program like ours to win a title. So far, we've had four years of bad luck since Rich Brooks catapulted is into the scene. Would be nice if Ohio State lost two WRs, their MLB, or get in after the playoffs expand to win one ( not to mention a nice blowout to sneak in the year we started the new playoff for at). That's the kind of luck we need.
  24. Thank you so much for posting these pictures. These made my day. It is so tough to find up to the day pictures of the construction.
