Oregon Football: Expectations of Dante Moore
I am sure there will still be a few growing pains here and there. I am more worried that DM is going to be so good (with a so far mixed predicted NFL QB draft class) that the NFL is going to come hard at him. Before the first snap, a good season and a return for 2026 seemed a possibility. Already it seems much less likely.

Oregon Football: Expectations of Dante Moore
I was wondering how he would do. At UCLA he was a frosh and the comfort he played with in high school changed as the high D1 college game was so much faster than high school. A lot of good football players struggle as a college freshman, especially QBs. I am tickled pink with his play through the first two games. He has been poised, comfortable in the pocket and rolling out or scrambling a bit to buy time. He has a great arm, but has also been throwing with some touch when needed and he's a big, strong, fast runner who can do some damage with his feet when needed. In all likelihood the Ducks are 4-0 traveling out to out in the middle of nowhere valley and facing Penn St. Watching the Nittany Lions the first two weeks I haven't been that impressed actually. Let's just say they seem to have a lot of Mario Cristobal in them. Oregon looks bigger, faster, stronger and deeper on both sides of the ball. The one question mark for the Ducks pre-season was Dante Moore, if he continues to play at a high level and even improves from week to week, I believe he will be up to the Penn St. challenge and beyond. Go Ducks!

Dan Lanning: "Business trip.” Interesting Conversation on Better Equity with Game Scheduling
Having the 4 Pac12 teams play eachother makes obvious sense to mitigate travel distances as much as possible for everyone in the B1G. They need to figure out how to make that happen.

Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
Come on Back 30! Mike West, please post whenever your schedule allows. Are the Dog and DiNardo brothers from a different mother? The nose knows.

The Ducks Have Roster Depth Like Never Before
KK, this is the perfect schedule for a team returning 4 starters and breaking in a new QB. Hopefully, OBD parlays this into a deep PO run and perhaps ... 😍

Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
I like the fact that the playbook seems open. However, I'm assuming that we will see different plays out of some of the formations that have been used around 9/27. I remember talking to a remember of the 94 Rose Bowl team. The first play from scrimmage was a formation that Penn St. used a lot all year. However, they ran a different play out of it, the Ducks were out of position and the only thing that stopped Ki-Jana Carter was the end zone 83 yards later.

Oregon Football: Did We Underestimate Dakorien Moore?
Honest, I didn't see this article at Autzen Zoo before my post. It is nice to see others in the media are thinking the same way. Autzen ZooThese Ducks are different: Dak is not DATBecause college football has regional character, history and tradition, and these are the best parts of the game, people like to compare eras and players.

Oregon - Northwestern Pre-Game Reports, Interviews, Etc.
Motivated by last year's poor start, this Oregon O-Line looks the part early Offensive line play wasn't up to standard through two weeks last season. This year's group has been significantly better to this point. Why's that? Iapani Laloulu weighed in on Wednesday.

These Ducks are different: Dak is not DATIt might surprise some fans to know that Moore is actually faster than Thomas was as a Duck. Thomas' best time in the 100 meters was 10.52. Moore ran a 10.4 as a prep. He's bigger, too. Dakorien is listed at 5-11, 195. Thomas was 5-8, 176. Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
I went home for a late lunch and had the show B1G Today on, and ol' coach and analyst Gerry DiNardo was effusive in his praise of Will Stein and what he witnessed in his trip to Eugene prior to the season. He stated that the QB meeting he sat in on with Stein...."the coaching and discussion of progressions in a play was the best I've watched in my life."

Joel Klatt: Ducks Are Best Team I've Seen on Film
The 10,000 foot view of the 2025 Ducks football team has certainly changed in 2 plus weeks. On the field from their performance, many of the questions or preseason doubts are being answered. The sample size is pretty small, for sure! The on field execution and performance have been large. Scoreboard speaks volumes. Let's hope this continues against Northwestern and Oregon State. And then the perception is cemented after the PSU Whiteout game! GO DUCKS!

"Is Kenyon Sadiq still the favorite to be the superfreak of the offense?" Can't the elite teams have more that one superfreak???

Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
I would not pretend to know what Stein and Lanning are trying to do here but shocking the opposition into submission after two touchdowns on three plays is going to work almost every time. Putting the game away in the first quarter is true intimidation. Bring on Northwestern! GO DUCKS!

Will Stein's OPPOSITE OFFENSE...or a Head-Fake?
One of the obvious benefits of scoring in bunches early on is that the game is essentially over at halftime, allowing for LOTS of playing time for your young and talented roster. One of the things I recall from Georgia (and Alabama's) natty runs, is that they were deep at every position, and when a player went down, often a player of equal (sometimes better) talent stepped in. Lanning has assembled that kind of talent in Eugene, and there's no time like the present to get them on the field accumulating real game reps. Come playoff time, we are going to be deep & experienced. "If you're good enough, you're old enough."
