  2. Have you ever been in a monsoon and tried to pull a hanky out of your back pocket? 😁 I'm kidding. A spot on comment.
  3. With no intention of being pejorative and just askin', does OBD need an S+C coaching change? Too many 4th Q fades. Get into the PO and with all hands on deck? A team that finished in 4th place in the B1G last season won it all.
  4. Minnesota next Friday evening at Autzen. Iowa beat them 41-03. GO DUCKS!
  5. Considering the weather......take the win and thank our lucky stars.......and don't take much of a message from the performance. Try standing out in a chilly rain for two hours much less 3 and perform. As for the playoffs......beat USC first and then remember by the playoffs most injuries will be healed and our QB will be finally relaxed....getting the UCLA misery of having folks in his face every play. That pass at the end was a work of true talent....right on the money in a very small target for distance.
  6. Do not go East UW. Thanks for letting us SEA another east of the Rockies dog show. 💩
  7. Oregon's Dan Lanning Addresses Injuries To Dakorien Moore, Kenyon Sadiq, Alex HarkeyThe Oregon Ducks injury report before Iowa Hawkeyes game was lengthy. Oregon was without its top two receiving threats in receiver Dakorien Moore and tight end Kenyon Sadiq plus offensive tackle Alex Harkey. Oregon coach Dan Lanning addressed the injuries after the game. Oregon Ducks On SIOregon's Dan Lanning Addresses Injuries To Dakorien Moore...The No. 9 Oregon Ducks' injury report was a major storyline going into the Iowa Hawkeyes matchup. The Ducks were without wide receiver Dakorien Moore and tight
  8. Vandy doesn't freeze and takes care of Auburn if you please. Will this 2-loss team still be ranked ahead of 2-loss SC?
  9. I was preparing myself for disappointment the entire game. When we made the field goal it was like everything went silent and the earth stood still. I'd be just fine if we never played Iowa again. Their style is high risk season wrecker style of ball. They don't care if they win that much as long as they at least have a chance of winning late, and any time you can have a low scoring game you have a puncher's chance. Screw them. That could have ended our bid for the playoffs. I mean, we beat them at their own game, but I don't want to play that game, you know? I'll be a million times happier watching us play our last 3 games.
  10. Atticus Sappington wins Ducks Wire Player of the Game vs. Iowa Hawkeyes The Oregon Ducks came into Saturday’s game against the Iowa Hawkeyes facing a major uphill battle. They were on the road, decimated by injuries to their offense and playing through some tough weather conditions. Head coach Dan Lanning was hoping that this game could be a springboard to getting his team back to their dominant ways, but it didn’t quite work out that way. The contest turned out to be a low-scoring, defensive slugfest, where both offenses struggled and felt like they could win or lose the game on any given play. It’s normally tough to choose a standout player in such an off game, but that wasn’t the case today. In a rare turn of events, kicker Atticus Sappington will take home the Ducks Wire Player of the Game after connecting on a game-winning 39-yard field goal with just three seconds left in the game.
  11. I'll rewind and say that drive had several bad defensive plays. 3 and long and Iowa gets a long pass. Fourth down and they get another long pass. Yeah that lady play stings as it resulted in points but that drive should have ended long before that play.
  12. Oregon boosts College Football Playoff case with last-second defeat of Iowa It was far from the flashy, dominant win we’ve grown accustomed to seeing Oregon pull off. But even though the Ducks didn’t pummel the Hawkeyes to death, it’s just as impressive of a win. Oregon was without leading receiver Dakorien Moore and tight end Kenyon Sadiq was hobbled. Gary Bryant Jr., another important receiver, left early in the contest. The pressure was on for Dante Moore and company to execute against one of the best passing defenses in the country. Instead, the Ducks flexed their muscles and reminded the committee its defense is up there with one of the best. “I guess that’s what they call Big Ten football,” Lanning said. “What an unbelievable game.”
  13. What a great day to be a Duck!!! Washington eliminated from playoffs!!
  14. Ducks' playoff hopes survive in Iowa City, reach 8-1Autzen ZooDucks' playoff hopes survive in Iowa City, reach 8-1The Ducks earned a gritty victory in Kinnick Stadium, driving 54 yards on the final 10 plays for Atticus Sappington's third field goal of the game to win 18-16.
  15. My parents asked why the review was taking so long and I said they were on the phone with vegas looking for a big enough bidder to uphold a blatant fumble as not a fumble.
  16. Will Oregon make the playoff? Explaining how win at Iowa combined with BYU loss has Ducks eying top 8Will Oregon make the playoff? Explaining how win at Iowa...The Ducks defeated the Hawkeyes 18-16 at Kinnick Stadium and saw a team ranked ahead of them lose in blowout fashion.
  17. Sappington bails out some questionable Stein play calling.
  18. My high school coach at Marshfield, Pete Susick told us back in the mid 1950’s: “When the officials are against us, we have to beat them too.” And we did! Attitude is everything.
  19. Herbstreit was darn near perfect in his prediction on College Gameday. He even had the fact that one team would have 15 points. However, he picked the wrong team to win. Oregon is definitely now a B1G team with that offensive performance.
  20. The refs always had rain in their eyes when Iowa was holding, like on every other play.
  21. "The Defense shouldn't be expected to carry this team." Very true. But, a really strong playoff team would have stopped Iowa on their last drive. Ducks made so many great plays on D, but totally missed out on turning the ball over on downs on that drive. I still think Oregon is a playoff team. But just barely a playoff team and not a favorite to win it all.
  22. Washington is down by three. Wisconsin has almost tripled their B1G average of 5.5 ppg with 13 points. Indiana was a missed toe drag away from losing to a Penn State squad that has a backup QB, interim coach, and zero P4 wins. November is where the contenders win, and with the playoff system in place, you will still be in contention. Anybody who misses the old system where a writer could determine the champion, a computer would pick the two best participants, or a group of people would pick four teams based off some unknown list of qualities, has to see some positives in at least getting a shot right? If Oregon wins out, they become legendary in Eugene lore. Last year Ohio State fans went from thinking that was the worst season ever, to saying it was a legendary run. It's snowing in Madison now btw. Washington is driving down by three. Their playoff hopes are on the line. It's an important game because it has playoff implications. If Washington loses, the game against Oregon becomes just a spoiler. But if they win? That's a playoff game for both teams imo.
  23. Jerry Mixon led team in tackles!!!
  24. "Considering the weather conditions, I think Moore played a great game." He seems to be getting much better at escaping pressure and looking downfield for targets than he was earlier in the season.
  25. The Defense shouldn't be expected to carry this team. Our Offensive firepower has simply failed to live up to expectations. This is not a formula for success. Something needs to change.
