Love It! College Football Playoff Rankings of a Different Kind: Champions We Can Stomach
I can't copy the article from The Athletic, but I can give you the most important sliver! Who would we, as a college football nation, be most OK with winning it? Which team would most nauseate us? Here’s an attempt to read the very large room. Remember, if your team is near the bottom of this list, it’s probably because it’s usually very good and annoys people. 1. Oregon: Let’s start by acknowledging that completely out-of-nowhere champions don’t satisfy the masses. Think of March Madness. Everyone loves the underdog early. Saint Peter’s beating Kentucky is amazing. Saint Peter’s getting to the second weekend, hell yes. But maybe the Final Four was OK without Doug Edert’s stupendous mustache? Oregon winning it all makes sense to people. This is the best program that has never done it. The Ducks have been close. Quarterback Dante Moore is fun to watch. Coach Dan Lanning is likable. The uniforms are mostly cool. Let’s give it a quack. Oregon winning its first title would be OK with the majority of fans with no dog in the fight. Conference Tiebreakers Explained
Just win baby! That is what the motto has to be, I'm not really bothered with playing the conference title game or not, our mission is simply to win as many games as possible, we have to win out just to get into the playoff from what I'm seeing. If that ends with us playing Indiana in the title game, so be it, I'm sure we'll love a chance to get some revenge. If we don't, I'm hopeful we'll end up between 7 and 5 so that we'll get a home game and not play the number one ranked team (right now I'm assuming it will be tOSU).

Week 12 Uniform Combo
Like every year there are a couple of combos that are really really good, but there are just as many that are just not appealing. I would say the use of black should be restrained a bit, white is fine on the road, but it doesn't really work at home imo.

BIG Mens Basketball Recruit Signed by Dana Altman...
This is not disparage Ariza or really any of the other players that we've had that were 5 stars in the past, but it would be nice to finally have a 5 star play like a 5 star in their freshman season. Always love have great talent coming into the program. We'll need him to produce right away or we'll be relying on transfers to produce. Bittle will be gone, I would assume Shelstad will stay since he's too small and not quick enough to be a high draft pick, Simpkins will be gone, Evans and Stewart might still be around. Pryor isn't a scorer, after that they'll be a lot of offensive touches to go around. I'll be curious to see how Phillips and Lin develop this season. We could really use a high profile big man to fill the center/4 position that Bittle will be leaving behind.

Conference Tiebreakers Explained
I think the goal should be to win the conference each year and let the playoff seedings work themselves out. I bet the coaches and players would love a rematch with Indiana. That's the mentality of great competitors.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE | THURSDAY, November 13, 2025 MEN’S BASKETBALL | @OregonMBB Ducks Sign Tajh Ariza EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon head coach Dana Altman announced the signing of Tajh Ariza on Thursday. The five-star recruit is ranked No. 14 by 247Sports and is No. 24 in ESPN’s Top 100. Conference Tiebreakers Explained
I would prefer not being in the Championship game but being ranked 4-8, as we get a home game. Purely a selfish motive in wanting to go to a playoff game at Autzen.

Conference Tiebreakers Explained
It's the same amount of games regardless... The bye just moves. If you miss the conference championship game you get. A bye that week but play a week earlier. Worst scenario is making the championship game and losing it and needing to play a first round game anyways.
