ESPN College Football Gameday at SEC Championship Game
It should have been at the big10 just because Indiana is such a cinderella story, and it would be a true test to go up against Ohio St, who crushed them last year. SEC game is just another game. One team will win, but who really cares? It is just an exhibition game before the playoffs.

Oregon Ducks National Signing Day Headquarters
Outside of playoff games, signing day is the most important day in college football - everything is based on what happens today for each and every team. Chip signed some great ones, but not the whole roster. Clearly a case of quality over quantity. But not enough quantity. Chip also got guys not super highly rated who turned out to be studs. Mario had some super stars: Kayvon and Sewell, but a lot of overhyped that did not fill their big potential. Dan Lanning is and has gotten the big stars and filled in a roster full of talent. On top of that, he has picked and chosen the portal very wisely and not lost top talent to the portal either. There are still some good players out there who can be flipped.

Jared Curtis flips from UGA!
All reports out there indicate that the parents (especially mama) were all Dawg. They love their son and will get behind him, but mama was impressed with the care Mike Bobo took in developing a #1 NFL pick (Matt Stafford) and was confident that he could do it again with Jared. Part of that development had been easing Matt into the starting role late in his first year and not immediately throwing him to the SEC wolves. Jared had better be ready because he will get baptized early without the benefit of all those senior Vandy starters that Diego enjoyed. Given all the hero ball Jared got to play against inferior high school competition (much like Arch Manning) Jared may believe he is ready to handle anything. I guess we will see how that will work out.

ESPN College Football Gameday at SEC Championship Game
I think it’s mostly about the broadcasting rights. ESPN and Co. are going to promote the SEC at every available opportunity, just as FOX will promote the B1G.

ESPN College Football Gameday at SEC Championship Game
It would be apropos to the current state of Gameday if Lee Corso taped a mascot head choice segment, but chose neither a bulldog or elephant but an ostrich which he immediately stuck in the sand. ,

ESPN College Football Gameday at SEC Championship Game
Actually the B1G championship game will have nearly zero impact on whether the loser drops out of the top four. While if Georgia loses the SEC game, they just might drop below OBD. To me SEC championship is a game of significance, while our conference championship is almost meaningless. So if I were making the decision for ESPN, I'd send Game Day to the place where there's a real game.

Offensive Coordinator Candidates
Here is my thought about why it is highly unlikely that Dan Lanning will have a failure in his coordinator selections. Just listen to his interview about LOI day, taped earlier today. It's linked at the bottom of the photos of the new recruits in a thread started by Charles. Asked about what traits he sees in the three coordinators that he has worked with at Oregon that he will look for in hiring replacements Lanning gave an answer that tells a great deal about him and the OBD program, part of which was: “realizing that it’s not about him, (the coordinator), but about the players.” The whole answer is a must read for any serious Duck fan. It you don’t have time to listen to the entire interview, scroll to 15:00. In my opinion, we are the most fortunate fans in all of college football to have Dan Lanning as our OBD head coach.

Holy Crap! Never, Never, NEVER in Recruiting at Oregon Before!
Oh yeah, I too would love to see that! I’d also be a nervous wreck, because for me it would guarantee a bit of heartbreak, but also a silver lining. I’d be happy to take it though, I would just have to remember my Father’s true but cliche saying “You can’t have your cake and eat it too!”😂

This is why I'd love to see an Oregon/Georgia rematch in the CFP, it'd be one hell of a game.

I truly believe that this success is a direct result of Dan Lanning. Critics will certainly say that “well, it’s just a product of Phil Knight and all that Nike money.” Ok, so sure, the money helps make it possible, but Lanning is cut from the same cloth as Kirby Smart in this regard. He is ultra competitive and can’t stand to lose, so he tirelessly works his butt off to give his team any advantage that he can. Such as winning in recruiting HS players, and solidifying talent levels through the portal. What’s more is that much like Kirby, he not only knows what to do and gives his all to accomplish it, he is learning how to accomplish it! I hated losing Lanning, but It’s great to see him at the only other D-1 team I love, and it’s great to see that like Kirby, he is completely loyal to his team! I haven’t heard a whisper of any big time programs even making slight rumblings of trying to attract him. Lanning must have shut that down immediately before it even got started. Otherwise I’m sure he would have been a major target in this crazy coaching carousel.

Hopefully, Oregon gets at least one of Lott or Henry. Both are going to be major impact players.

Offensive Coordinator Candidates
Coach Lanning has made good hires thus far. Who’s to say he can’t miss though? Coach Bellotti had a few duds at OC. Luckily, he realized it and moved on quickly.

Holy Crap! Never, Never, NEVER in Recruiting at Oregon Before!
Thank you, Charles. 14 fewer recruits than SC and yet, so close. But Oregon is winning the battle of the average recruit ranking. 2nd in 247's top 10 and only slightly behind Bama. How about two Left Coast schools ahead of Ohio State, Michigan, and, OMG! Penn State. UW's class is ranked No. 13 by 247. I believe this is UW's highest ranking ever. Eight B1G teams ranked in the top 30 by 247. I think this could be an all-time B1G showing for the conference. Considering quality over quantity, how about Billy Bob Belichick at UNC? 39 recruits signed, and the Tar Heels are not in the top 15. And, BTW, and with TB still missing, the Patriots under Ohio State grad and possible COY, Mike Vrabel, are 10-2, in the POs, and QB Drake Maye could be the POY. It would be sweet to finish first and score another win over USC.😁

Holy Crap! Never, Never, NEVER in Recruiting at Oregon Before!
I assume this change is due to Hartline leaving for South Florida. Is it a given that tOSU is a no? Certainly hoping the Ducks can reel Chris Henry Jr in! Great recruiting class either way though! Congrats my Duck friends, this class will pay dividends and I’m very happy to see it!

If you’re talking about Chris Henry then it’s Texas who allegedly has the biggest offer on the table.
