Well, it was two former Pac-12 teams, so maybe the refs are former Pac-12-ers too....

That was a stressful game to watch, but overall good considering we were down 3 LTs, the C, and our 3 top WRs. If Oregon can get fully healthy, I love their upside. USC OC / Passing Game Cord. Strategy: “Throw the ball up and the refs will throw the flag . . . every time.” I know Sadiq gets a lot of love, and deserves it, but I’m really liking TE #9 Johnson. While Sadiq is an athletic freak of nature, Johnson is a monster that can run.

Such a strange game. This reffing crew is such an outlier to the rest of the B1G crews that let them play. Next season I would like Nike to test out their new cleats designs on the Autzen turf before the season. Since when does a kicker slip on a dry field kickoff? I hope Lanning makes it clear we won't be wearing that cleat design for anymore games, especially not our home playoff game. Happy we covered the spread despite the penalties, injuries and slipping.

COLUMBIA, Mo. — Behind a program-best four All-Americans, the Oregon women’s cross country team ran to a third-place finish Saturday morning at the 2025 NCAA Championships at Gans Creek XC Course in Columbia, Mo. The UO men, with three All-Americans of their own, added a fifth-place showing at the national meet. The team finish for the Women of Oregon equals their highest national showing since 2018 and is their 14th top-four podium finish in program history. Saturday’s finish for the men is their highest at the NCAA meet since 2015, and a nine-place improvement from a year ago. Both teams entered the NCAA Championships ranked sixth in this week’s USTFCCCA national polls. Ayyildiz clocked in with a final time of 18:57.9, one of the 13 women to dip below 19 minutes on the 6K Gans Creek course. On the men’s side, Laadjel navigated the 10K in 28:46.2. Prior to Saturday’s race, the UO women had collected three All-Americans on 11 occasions including last year’s trio of Ayyildiz, Maddy Elmore and Anika Thompson. This season, Ayyildiz was joined by freshman Diana Cherotich (31st place, 19:15.2), Dalia Frias (36th, 19:18.8) and Juliet Cherubet (39th, 19:22.2). It was the NCAA Championships debut for Frias. Laadjel led the Ducks’ All-American trio that also included Aiden Smith (25th place, 28:57.3) and Simeon Birnbaum (33rd, 29:01.6). The Oregon men last had at least three All-Americans in 2009. Smith is now a cross country All-American in back-to-back years while Birnbaum was up 31 spots from last season. In the first race of the day, the Women of Oregon held a top-three position for the entire race. Eventual team champion NC State moved into the lead for good at the 3K checkpoint with the Ducks and BYU in a battle for spots two and three. Ayyildiz moved into the individual top 10 between the 5K and 6K marks but BYU finished with two in the top five to overcome the connected 2-3-4 Oregon runners. With the top-three team creating some separation in the men’s race, the Ducks sat in fourth place at the 8K checkpoint ahead of Syracuse and Alabama. The Orange edged ahead of Oregon by two points at 9K, 247-249, and stretched its lead over the final kilometer while Smith and Birnbaum moved their way into the top 30 scoring spots to help the Ducks hold off Alabama. Troy should be and could be 9-2 and in the PO mix, if it played Stanford or Cal, or even UNLV, instead of playing ND in a monsoon. Make the B1G money and not the Irish money. For this fan, i never sat back in the recliner. Sat right on the edge of that seat through out the game. Just like against Minnesota OBD's moved the ball with ease. This is back to back games of 42 points. Nice to see Dante keep the opponents Defense off balance. Depth, depth and more depth. Prior years, injuries to starters would have crippled one or more segments of the offense. Not this Duck team. Many of the Ducks injuries are to players who will play on Sundays. In a game like this the players are wired up and ready to perform. However,,going forward, the careless personal fouls need to stop. Cannot give your opponent 130 plus yards of free turf. Let's clean those plays up, get healed up and get after the bastardo huskies. One more convincing victory and a Texas A&M loss to the Longhorns and we can get the number 6 spot. Go Ducks........

Looking forward to that as long as we never see those officials again.

"Which is better?" What is best is a solid Oregon win over a USC team that came to play with some future NFL talent. Second best is the SEC going down.

How bout those backup O linemen? They filled in nicely. And how about USC? They did well to come up to Eugene and put up a fight. Even up by 15 late, I didn't feel secure until time actually ran out for good. I want a strong B1G conference. The SEC has been on top for too long.

Glad we won but, boy howdy, will playing like that result in a loss in the playoffs.

Looks like a solid choice at the end of the game. It was weird though. We were ahead most of the game, but the lead felt tenuous until about 5 minutes left in the game.

Felt like the Pac-12 where breathing on a receiver resulted in a flag. I think several of those PIs the coaching staff looks at and will shrug off because those flags haven't been thrown for the majority of the season. I think it was just this ref crew.

...or they could say, "It wasn't a big game."

Some are complaining about our DB's. USC has a great QB and three great WR's. Unfortunately for USC they have no running game and a weak defense. This was a great win for our DUCKS!

We will have to wait and see on the injury front. Pickard played well enough that risking Poncho probably wasn't worth it. Looked like Poncho was seeing if he could make a go of it at one point. World I think had a few snaps but they didn't want to risk him. Harkey went out and came back in. I think we'll see many players back next week.

I expected a tough game. Ducks did good to stay in front with the lead they built by half time - and that was not an easy task. They need to coach some new techniques, since some of those PI calls looked like not much interference at times. This was one those games where the refs had far too much influence on the game. But it went both ways. On to the next one.
