  2. The new cast wasn't very well received so they seem to have taken their talents (?!🤷🏼‍♀️) elsewhere.
  3. I suspect they'll probably shuffle if they need to. They cross train guys for a reason. Though I hope none of the injuries are too serious.
  4. Oregon 45-12 2 4 286 I promise I didn't look at @kirklandduck 's post before I wrote mine!
  5. WOW! Who is the Last Man Up?
  6. Here we are my Duck-Buddies, the thread for pondering the actual game as it happens. Let's discuss before, and during the game! I have made a major change in how we will moderate our GameDay threads. Bottom line, is that you will be allowed to spew your frustration, to vent, as you wish. But Note the Parameters: --This is for GameDay threads only; you have to behave in the regular forum threads as in the past. --You cannot take shots at those who disagree with you, just like in the forum during the week. Remember how we discussed this upfront in this thread. Let's Have Fun Posting During the Game!
  7. If the weather holds up(hopefully) Oregon 42-14 2 4 210
  8. Charles, I think I hear them calling you! 🥸 Put on an Iowa jersey and hold on every play, it worked last week.
  9. Today
  10. The injury report was just released and Genorris Wilson is out. Alex Harkey is questionable. If Harkey can't go, who is next in line for Right Tackle? Is there some shuffling with Bedford or Rodgers (both primarily guards) entering the lineup? Or do we go with one of the younger players (Fox Crader or Trent Ferguson)? Moore, Bryant Jr, and Laulea are all out. Sadiq, Jackson, Gray and Harkey are all listed as questionable.
  11. Clem, my Son, forget about picking up your room, and start picking the portal. Clemson is trying to become bowl eligible while keeping Louisville out of the PO? Just as predicted, right, James Franklin? KO at 4 PM Pacific - ESPN - You lucky Ducks, you. 🤬 Honey, pass me another IPA and another No Doz. 😴

  16. Oregon is No. 2 nationally with 6.36 yards per carry and has 26 rushes of 20 yards or more, the most in the country.
  17. If you are using ON3 TV numbers those are 100% misleading. They are using Sports Media Watch, but only counting games that they count. tOSU has 7 TV games, while Tennessee only has 4 TV games. They are not comparing apples to apples.
  18. I went to all but one of the Beavers home games that season. Our church (I was the pastor) had several OSU alum members and any time someone had an extra ticket I was invited. Those were certain heady times for Oregon State. I have contended all along OSU should have gone to the national championship game. If they had, I'm pretty sure they would have won it. A 12 team play off, they just might have won also. As I've gravitated to rooting for the Ducks, reasons I've shared in other threads, I still haven't become "hostile" to OSU. I had a lot of good times rooting for them and back then Reeser was rocking!
  19. Before the Erickson revival, those 28 consecutive losing seasons (1971-1998) made Parker/Reser Stadium about as miserable a football environment as can be imagined. Towards the end of that string, I remember Civil Wars there almost more for the incredible number of student teams roaming the aisles in order to break-up the many fights and eject the alcohol-fueled participants. It was just different, something akin to a 36,000 seat open air road house bar.
  20. I meant to give credit where due when I cited this stat that came from The Athletic's Stewart Mandel's latest Mailbag. In response to Aggies and SEC fans being outraged over A&M not being No. 1, he referred to the records of SEC teams the Aggies have played and have yet to play. He also referred to Indiana having better stats on both sides of the ball. Perhaps Stewart's outrage at all things B1G has tapered off a bit?
  21. BLASPHEMY, any way you look at it. Even if we need it for seeding, BLASPHEMY.
  22. I raise this toast to coach Samples, Assistant Head Coach and Running Backs Coach. The running backs UO has are the best in the nation. The room is deep, varied and productive. Coach Samples has: Recruited top backs with complementary skills and styles. Taught his players to follow blocking, read defenders, break tackles, and block skillfully. Managed the players and the room for high rushing yards per game and yards per carry. He knows his players and uses them very effectively. May coach Samples be recognized and honored for his skills and contributions to Ducks football.
  23. I didn't know this stat... but also... why am I not surprised????
  24. If the show was cancelled, that is so sad. It was a great show, and I enjoyed the different opinions on our OBD.
  25. Exactly. This issue is tough to sort out. I am not sure the TV package in 2031 is going to be as lucrative. USC is delusional in my opinion. They aren't garnering any kind of viewership that warrants their outburst. Outside if Ohio State and Michigan, no one in the big is drawing consistently huge numbers. That concerns me. It's why I keep harping on USC, Iowa, Wisconsin, Nebraska and the Fuskies becoming national contenders. The B1G is not even close to the ratings powerhouse the SEC is. I believe that is why this "payday loan" deal is a motivating factor. Heck, Ohio State is the 7th most watched team in the nation. So, the number one team in the country is the 7th most watched team. People watch Tennessee more than they watch Ohio State. Do you think teams like Michigan State get a little nervous about revenue? How about Maryland? I'm not saying his deal is the answer, but I am concerned, and OBD are the ranked 15th in viewership. To be objective, 9 B1G and 10 SEC teams are part of the 25 most watched teams, but the SEC boasts 8 of the top 10. Disney has a great plan, they lock down the mid day and evening slots with pretty damn good matchups. Iowa at USC isn't going to pull as many eyeballs as Oklahoma and Alabama this week. And UCLA is definitely not going to draw fans like the Ohio State contingency. I'll be impressed if 3M people watch that game (against what, 8M for Texas at Georgia?). Will Fox, NBC and CBS pony up another monster TV deal for the B1G in 2031? I'd say the lower tier of the B1G is trying to secure survival amidst the threat of a Super Conference throwing them to the wolves. A 20 year deal helps out their cause, no?
