The SEC Goes to 9 Conference Games in 2026
It's going to be nice to see a bit of equity here. The number of times a SEC team has been a 10 win team when they really would have most likely been a 9 win team is ridiculous, Ole Miss I'm looking at you!

Why Eugene, Oregon Is Ranked Among Top 10 College Towns in America
You went to the wrong sport for NC State and UNC!

Week 1 - Thursday Night Games Chat (Spoilers)
Did not realize Oregon's opening opponent (Montana State) beat UT Martin (Oklahoma State's opening opponent) in the second round of the FCS playoffs last year 49-17 (gave me a small "wait what?" kind of moment). It looks like 27-7 just going final. Early returns seem to be Oklahoma State "has not looked great tonight" and been "kinda meh". 360 yards of offense from Oklahoma State (232 passing, 128 rushing, 5.0 yards per play, 20 first downs, 0 turnovers, 225 yards allowed on defense).

New Freedoms Allowed for GameDay Threads: "Go Ahead and Let it Go...."
I do think this is a good idea, I think for myself, I sometimes do need to vent a little, I would like to think I've always reserved my frustrations for the coaches and not the players. The only time I would say a little criticism is appropriate of players is when they do something like Holden did last year, something that is selfish. Even then, you have to remember that they probably regret their actions and would take them back if they could, usually. I would say there are times I do erase something before I hit submit since I can usually catch myself before I say something that probably is not needed or constructive. With all that said, I can't wait to Jerk about the defense after they give up 3 straight first downs! 😂 Before anybody says anything, that is a joke.

New Freedoms Allowed for GameDay Threads: "Go Ahead and Let it Go...."
Thank you Charles for this new freedom to vent. It is probably a good thing. However, I know I will find it hard not to come back with a snide comment to any of the “sky is falling”, “fire the coach”, “our coaches/players/play-calling sucks” comments from some of the fans on the page. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, this is a GAME, played by KIDS. That means the ball is going to bounce in funny ways, and kids are going to make mistakes. The doomsayers and negative Nellie’s need to buck up and take a breath before tearing into OBD, cause I for one am gonna have a hard time just leaving those derogatory comments alone. Maybe I will just watch the games And look at comments later. Don’t want to get in trouble for defending OBD from ill thought out, derogatory remarks about my favorite team in CFB.

Why Eugene, Oregon Is Ranked Among Top 10 College Towns in America
I’ve been to a few cool places. Tiger Stadium in Baton Rouge is unmatched. I can’t think of a more perfect college football experience. I haven’t been to Eugene in 10 years, but it’s still the second best experience. Back then, you could get a tailgate spot at the Free Masons lodge for $40. It was a great scene but I imagine the price has gone up. Still a fun place to hang out. I thought the Mo made for a great pre-game experience as well. Pullman had free parking within walking distance of Martin Stadium and a nice indoor tailgate area. I enjoyed the experience there, but getting out of town is nuts because of the infrastructure. Columbia, SC is awesome, but parking is expensive and the wait to get out of William-Brice stadium are can be 2-3 hours. Once again, the infrastructure doesn’t make for an easy exit for 80K fans. Appalachian State is a beautiful setting, but Boone, NC is a dud. The restaurant scene sucks worse than the tailgating. Kidd-Brewer is a great hot weather stadium because the home fans are in the shade. But, late in the season the temps can be in the low teens which makes for single digits in the shade of the home side. NC State and UNC are about as fun as Portland State games. Enough said. I had high hopes for Penn State, but FedEx is trying their best to screw me by losing my parking pass. StubHub also sent me tickets with a person sitting between my wife and me. Hopefully, that person is willing to swap with one of us. Let’s hope the game isn’t as cursed as my ticket buying experience has been.

Why Eugene, Oregon Is Ranked Among Top 10 College Towns in America
https://www.washingtonpost.com/travel/interactive/2025/best-college-football-towns/ I've been to several of these locations, though not always on a gameday. Being there when it isn't a game day may be a better test of "college town" rankings? The biggest letdown for me was South Bend. It was established in 1835 and there are areas that look original - laugh. Some pretty rough areas especially after decline in local industries in the late 1990's. Some say the best thing about South Bend is that it is 95 miles to Chicago and 145 miles to Indianapolis. Not sure about that. But, of those options in that Washington Post column I would put it last.

Prediction Contest vs. Montana State: First One of the Year!
Oregon 28-13 2 TD passes 1 sack 234 passing yards The running clock couple with a run-heavy opponent makes for a low scoring game.
