  2. My only issue with Indiana winning the title is the fact that in 2004 i went to my friends house to watch my Ducks play his hoosiers. He graduated from IU, loves their basketball team, lives for IU sports. Needless to say, it was not a good day for me. Now, this year, light smack talking over texts, (hes in Alaska, I am now in Kansas). Once again I suffer through watching OBD fall to the hoosiers. Granted, it is personal but I don't know if I can live in a world where indiana wins a CFB championship before OBD. If it came down to IU versus alabama though, there is no way I can root for bama.
  3. I would be fine on capping PERS to 100k a year. I think Mine B is getting 400k a year from tax payers.
  4. Indiana is a great team with a great coach and I believe they could beat anybody on any given day. I also think that beaten the best teams in the country week after week would expose depth issues that would be too difficult to over come. If they do manage to make the championship game, then Lanning's streak of only losing to championship game participants since his first year would continue.
  5. Each season is it's own entity and identity. Different skill sets of players, depth on the squad, different levels of experience for the coaching staff and injuries. No 2 seasons are alike, no 2 sets of circumstances are alike from year to year. Cignetti has decades of coaching experience. Dan Lanning is still cutting his teeth! He has had great mentors and is building his pedigree. Will Stein has great play calls but does not make in game adjust at times. Dante does not have 61 or 62 starts, he has less than 20. This teams tackles cannot pass block. When the routes come open Dante is already scrambling or sacked. If IU wins the title, then good for them! OBD's will win the title eventually. Maybe even this season. However, opportunity and preparedness must meet at the same place and time. For example, until last seasons format change, tOSU would not have even made the CFP. Ryan Day would have been fired after the Michigan loss. But the Buckeyes were prepared to meet the opportunity that presented itself! I am just hoping we win out to have an opportunity this season. Go Ducks....
  6. Ten times the tuition is the barometer. Yea, good luck with that restraint of trade. Proposed Bill Would Limit Next LSU Football Coach's Pay to $279K

  8. Ask yourself this question. If it's Indiana vs. Alabama in the NCG who are you pulling for? Indiana winning the national championship would prove the point that any team in the country can now win it all. It would mark the official end to the blue blood monopolization of CFB. Therefore, I would have no problem with this the Hoosiers becoming national champions.
  9. The Iowa Defensive Coordinator has a good defensive team. Not a good idea to disrespect Oregon. Autzen ZooPhil Parker goes full Gundy, and you never go full Gundy...Iowa defensive coordinator Phil Parker is one of the best in college football.
  10. Playing Colorado in the 2002 Fiesta Bowl, rather than Miami in the Rose Bowl (who stomped a Nebraska team that couldn't handle Colorado in their own conference) could easily be on that list many believe that Oregon may have been the only team with a legit shot to be competitive with that Miami squad.
  11. Ranking Oregon's Most Difficult Remaining Games Scheduled in 2025More than halfway through the season, the Oregon Ducks have a few challenges standing between them and the post season. Which of Oregon's upcoming opponents will provide the most challenge for coach Dan Lanning and crew? Oregon Ducks On SIRanking Oregon's Most Difficult Remaining Games Scheduled...Currently 7-1 on the 2025-2026 season after a rainy win against the Wisconsin Badgers at home, the No. 6 Oregon Ducks only have four games left until the post s

  13. Ever since Mike Bellotti was able to recruit mega-donor “Uncle” Phil Knight 30 years ago into the Oregon fold, no “outsider” has won the national championship. When I say “outsider,” I mean a program that is either not a traditional blue-blood program, or at least lacking a rich football history. Tennessee in 1998 is maybe the low man on the ... Oregon's Biggest Nightmare: Indiana Winning It All
  14. Honestly one of my favorite sights in all of college football is the Civil War when Oregon and Oregon State both wear their home colors. The color rush is spectacular and something about it always brought to life the rivalry game. This year... not so much. Also... I had to go back and do a quick head count of how many times we wore black this year (and it's too much)... so here is our color pallet this year to date. v Montana State - Green and yellow v Oklahoma State - All Green @ Northwestern - White and yellow v Oregon State - Black and White (Uncle Phil Unis) @ Penn State - White and black v Indiana - Black with Green @ Rutgers - All white v Wisconsin - Black with tie dye green Right now we have 5 games in a ROW without a school color being the MAIN color in our uniforms. School color has been a highlight color or non-exsistent. I think that is why everyone is feeling kinda done with the black at this point. Too many weeks in a row for sure.
  15. If we are goint to toss out the "lopsided wins," then I feel that when considering the running game, we can toss out sacks (which are not part of the running game but are including in rushing stats). In fact, let's toss out all of the QB/WR runs and focus just on the RBs so we can get an even better look at the "running" game. That leaves the following YPC for the three games you mention: Penn St: 28 carries for 141 yds = 5.0 YPC Indiana: 21 carries for 108 yds = 5.1 YPC Wisconsin: 32 carries for 227 yds = 7.1 YPC Pretty good numbers if you ask me.
  16. Remarkable that this deep into a thread about uniforms no one has mentioned that by rule the visiting team wears white jerseys unless there is an agreement between the teams before the season.
  17. During much of the second half, Brock Thomas’ best plays were handling errant center snaps that totally destroyed timing. Putting Moore back in the game would have been extreme gross negligence under the conditions. Thanks to Thomas, OBD avoided what could have been two or three turnovers. And, Thomas managed to avoid giving up the ball to Wisconsin without a trace of Panic!
  18. You don’t think we didn’t have lopsided wins last year? It is eight games, and that is a pretty good sample…
  19. Let's toss out the lopsided wins and look at the numbers from the Penn State, Indiana, and Wisconsin games. 4.5, 2.7, and 4.6 yards per rush. Last time I looked we don't have Rutgers next up on our schedule.
  20. They did that in 2016... And well against UC Davis they left a lot to be desired.
  21. 2024 after eight games: 35 points per game, net rushing total yards of 1337, for an average of 4.7 yards per rush. 2025 after eight games: 41 points per game, net rushing total yards of 1896, for an average of 6.3 yards per rush.
  22. I'd prefer to see Dan Lanning's reaction to James Crepea asking a question (with a 3-minute preface) about the uniforms, and their impact on the game, LOL
  23. If Dante broke his nose any jolt to his head from a direct hit, tackle or even a slide would have been extremely painful. He would’ve been even more tentative and skittish in the pocket. Wisconsin was never going to win so I’m sure Lanning was good with the backup. That said, broken noses are still painful after a few weeks so I would expect him to go out of his way to avoid contact against Iowa. I’m sure there will be no designed QB runs and he may not scramble as much even though he will probably wear a visor for protection.
