  1. I think I am probably as big a Duck homer as anyone, and I love to cheer and yell for good play as much as anyone. I will also boo the refs at the drop of a hat. If I am treated to 4 Ps (plunge, plunge, pass, punt) 3 times in a row, you bet your @$$ I’m gonna boo. Coming to these games is not a cheap investment, even when you get the cheap seats. I pay for the right to cheer when I am pleased, and to boo when I am displeased. I firmly believe the ONLY way a fan has to show displeasure is the boo. I support Mario in most things, and think he is doing great things for our Ducks, but if you don’t like the boo’s, then coach the team to play up to the levels we know you can.
  2. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/LongFormArticle/Lee-Corso-Oregon-Football-ESPN-College-Gameday-Auburn-173566139/ 15W, 11L on Gameday! 3-0 vs UCLA.
  3. 11-2, 34 ppg scored 22 ppg allowed A heathy Defense takes over from here on out. We win the turnover margin by an average of +2 per game, and defensive scores in at least 4 of the remaining games. Go Ducks!
  4. I don’t know about the rest of you, but if my boss told people I was doing a “solid” job, I’d be looking to get better or get replaced! Solid is not exactly a ringing endorsement…
  5. In truth, I don’t think many of us thought the 2021 Ducks were going to be a great team in the pre-season. (I know, I was the homer who said “15-0 baby,” knowing it was a pipe dream, but wanting to believe). After the tOSU game, a lot of us thought they could be very good, but I seem to remember most of us thinking great was still a year or two out. My hope now is that the team that played down to their opponents level in the first half of the season will start to play UP to their opponents level the rest of the way. Do that and I think we will remain good to very good, with greatness a year or two away.
  6. I don’t think it would be a bad thing Charles, on a forum like this. We would just have to acknowledge up front, just like the score contest, it’s gonna be a bunch of wild-@$$ guesses!
  7. My frustration is that this team will not play 4 quarters of football. We had 3 or 4 awesome drives in the first half where they drove the length of the field only to shoot themselves squarely in the foot with penalties and fumbles. Each of those drives would have been a score for a team that wanted it. Watching the game last night, it felt almost like they did everything they could not to Win. On the positive side, KT is an absolute beast! Noah Sewell is far and away the toughest player the Ducks have had in a long time. At least twice he got up after a tackle just radiating pain, but he stayed in and kept making plays. No wonder he is a team captain. Unfortunately, unless they turn things around, I see more losses than wins for this team in the second half of the season.
  8. As I prepare to make my way to Autzen, I have high hopes that this will be the game that gets the Ducks to fly like we know they can. Ducks play to their potential and deliver a good old fashioned smack down. OR 48-10, 2, 3, and 280! Please! Go Ducks!
  9. I have to come down in the “I’ll believe it when I see it” category. If it comes true, I’ll be as happy as a pig in poo, but based on what we see and hear, it just sounds to good to be true.
  10. Jrw, lovin the sunshine buddy! I agree totally. for me, a big part of the angst comes from reading posts like “if they don’t win by ## many points, I’m gonna quit watching” or “the coaches and the players need replaced” Come on, are we Duck fans or fans of blowouts? I love a good stompin as much as the next guy, but what I really love is watching the Ducks, win, lose, or draw,
  11. Let’s see, I think I will wear WARM to the Friday night game!
  12. I think playing TD as an every down back will lead to Dye joining Verdell on the injured list. It seems MC insists on playing combinations with multiple people on the O and D lines in order to “build depth and resiliency” while refusing to give decent reps to additional QBs and RBs which would also seem to build depth and resiliency.
  13. Either way, they eat each other up during the season!
  14. I thin it says more about the predatory nature of the PAC 12 than it says anything about the Ducks. The Furd beats the Ducks and the Trojans but lose to Sparky, USC loses to the Utes, Bruins, and Sparky, but beats the Cougs and Buffs ( not saying much, I know!) UCLA loses to Fresno State and Sparky, but beats the Furd and ASU. The Beavs beat SC and the Huskies but coug one to the Cougs and Purdue. I think it says a whole lot less about the Ducks, and a lot more about the brutality of the PAC 12.
  15. Like many on here, my 2nd favorite team in the PAC is OSU. I want the Beavs to win every game they play except one. Having said that, unless the Ducks get it figured out, and start playing up to their potential instead of down to that of their opponent, November 27 is looking a tad grim for the boys from Eugene. This year’s version of the Beavers are looking like a handful for anyone to play. They are not to be taken lightly.
  16. How do you break a fibula in a non-contact drill?
  17. To continue the questions… How many bandwagon fans jump off the bandwagon now? How loud does the cry to “Dump Mario” get? When does GK to something about the abysmally poor referees deciding the outcome of PAC 12 games? When will the targeting rule be fixed?
  18. So, what is the answer? Fire Cristobal? I don’t think that is gonna happen. Even if you did, who you gonna replace him with? For a bunch of youngsters, incredibly talented as they are, I think you have to let them learn from this and grow. Most on this honorable site felt this team was a two loss team at best, before the season began, the they upended tOSU. and suddenly they were playoff material. I was the one with the 15-0 pipe dream, I didn’t really think they could do it, but I sure wanted them to. I am bummed, disgusted with the penalties (both deserved, and undeserved), aggravated by some of the play calls, and aggravated even more with some of AB’s decision making. But at the end of the day, I remind myself, this is a game, played by kids, who are still learning to be men. A game can only have one winner, and sometimes the breaks go the other way. Am I happy with the loss? No. But I think MC has things moving in a direction I will be happy to continue to watch.
  19. Good to see Sewell back in there! That is one tough kid!
  20. Own the 4th quarter and finish strong, the game is ours. Mari prides himself on finishing games, let’s see it happen.
  21. I watched the full game on YouTube last week and the week before. There are usually several highlight clips of 10 to 20 minutes, but there is a full recording of each game within 6 hours or less.
  22. I really liked the lightning yellow, thunder green, and ice white.
  23. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cliff_Harris_(cornerback) Very much a waste of potential. Much like Colt Lyerla. Potential superstars who took the wrong path. Sad.
