Not hearing anything about SMU not qualified to play PSU, even though they are currently down 38-3. Is it a TNT / ABC thing?

Did DS just get in his “last word” in an engagement that DL won hands down over a year ago? Travis Hunter, a gifted athlete, won the Heisman, Deion Sanders, a flashy ex-athlete didn’t. The DS/BS Hype Train is really spinning its wheels trying to make something out of nothing! For the record, DL is 35-5 in 3 seasons at OR, DS was 27-6 in 3 seasons at Jackson State and is 13-11 in 2 seasons at Colorado. All DS showed DL is that he was able to take a 5 star player who was enamored with him, from J State to Colorado where there was such a talent void, the kid was able to play both sides. The kid was the No. 1 recruit in 2022 and the No. 1 portal transfer in 2023, so I think he had talent prior to DS’s coaching wizardry. Just sayin…

Regarding statistics and percentages, my ol’ dad used to say “Figures lie and liars figure.” I feel reasonably sure that OBD will be the last team standing come January 20. They have the depth, the balance, the bigs, and the playmakers. Our skill players line up well with any of the remaining competition. We also have Dan Lanning and one of the best coaching staffs in the CFP. However, according to the SEC writers, we might as well bless the SEC teams and just give it to them. No sense in playing, it is a waste of time. They feel the best B1G can’t hold the jock straps for the mighty SEC. What a bunch of hogwash! The only thing I would like better than beating SEC teams in each of our next 3 games would be to see the SEC have ZERO wins. Have their @$$es handed to them in each of their games. Go Ducks! Beat THEM!

I agree Charles, it is too long to wait between games. One week for a bye, sure, that is fair, and needed. 25 days between games??? That seems like it is begging for rust to set in. It is just plain too much time. Our Rose Bowl opponent got a bye week, then plays a game this weekend. The winner will get another partial bye week (11 days ) before they play us. I totally trust DL and his magnificent staff to have OBD ready, but it just doesn’t feel right to me

JRW, that is the guy who didn’t cover Kenyon Sadiq on his second TD! He was about a half second late in starting and was a good 10 or 12 yards away when Kenyon caught the pass.

I even put it in a previous post: Since we have already vanquished the best the B1G has to offer, I would love to see the Ducks take out Tennessee in the Rose Bowl, then trash Texas in the Semi-final. That would set us up to beat the bulldogs for the Natty! 16-0, having beaten the best of the B1G AND the SEC, would pretty much cement OBD as a team for the ages! I was hoping someone would mention it, and you put it in better words, but captured it precisely! Thank you Sir! And Go Ducks!

And the catch that wasn’t. Franklin whines about the refs not giving them the replay, yet he had his team snap the ball before they would have. The smart play would have been to throw the red flag, or at least delay the snap till the clock was down to 2 or 3 seconds, but PSU opted for a quick snap!

The LA teams felt real good about it til Oregon and Washington joined them, then the crying, whining, keaning, and wailing went to the next level. While the LA-La teams love and will continue to love their shares, they are not happy to be middle to bottom tier teams (which is where they will be for the foreseeable future). TV Execs came out on top. They rigged the game so they always do.

He deserves it. But I don’t think he gets it. The Powers That Be have overlooked and downplayed Oregon all year. Unfortunately, I don’t see that changing any time soon.

$$$ MONEY $$$. Greed for money. The PAC12 could not/would not pay the Trojans enough money so they took the cash-starve bruin baby brothers and bolted. When GK waived a paltry sum in the faces of the rest of the PAC, those who could, jumped ship for greener pastures. This who couldn’t blamed everything and everyone but themselves.. After all, the only thing they did not do was be worth enough $$$ for someone to went them, or they’d have bolted too… The Pacific State School Conference may call themselves the PAC whatever, but they will always by G5 pretenders. I don’t think they ever get recognized with a P4 designation.

The much maligned (by some of us) defense pulls it off! Nobody left that game til it was over, that for sure! Now we get a bye week to get ready for the second round of the playoffs! 13 and 0 baby! Go Ducks!

Has anyone seen anything from either of the top two SEC teams that would cause any worry if they lasted long enough to play OBD?

I don’t feel the PAC was tougher than the B1G, I think this year’s edition of OBD IS tougher than any Duck team we have ever seen. This team would have run the table in the PAC in any given year, just as they have this year in the B1G.

OBD. 35, PSU 17 2 Turnovers 4 sacks 335 yards Go Ducks! Let loose the Ducks of war and let chaos reign! We have been beating B1G foes all year, I see no difference Saturday.

All in all, it was a pretty good day for Duck fans across 3 sports! A whole lot of winning for OBD!
