Thank you Darren for posting an article that says what I have been thinking about since they named the 12! I even put it in a previous post: Since we have already vanquished the best the B1G has to offer, I would love to see the Ducks take out Tennessee in the Rose Bowl, then trash Texas in the Semi-final. That would set us up to beat the bulldogs for the Natty! 16-0, having beaten the best of the B1G AND the SEC, would pretty much cement OBD as a team for the ages! I was hoping someone would mention it, and you put it in better words, but captured it precisely! Thank you Sir! And Go Ducks!

OBD just needs to win out. Much easier said than done, but if anyone can it is DL’s 2024 DUCKS. And the catch that wasn’t. Franklin whines about the refs not giving them the replay, yet he had his team snap the ball before they would have. The smart play would have been to throw the red flag, or at least delay the snap till the clock was down to 2 or 3 seconds, but PSU opted for a quick snap!

The LA teams felt real good about it til Oregon and Washington joined them, then the crying, whining, keaning, and wailing went to the next level. While the LA-La teams love and will continue to love their shares, they are not happy to be middle to bottom tier teams (which is where they will be for the foreseeable future). TV Execs came out on top. They rigged the game so they always do.

He deserves it. But I don’t think he gets it. The Powers That Be have overlooked and downplayed Oregon all year. Unfortunately, I don’t see that changing any time soon.

$$$ MONEY $$$. Greed for money. The PAC12 could not/would not pay the Trojans enough money so they took the cash-starve bruin baby brothers and bolted. When GK waived a paltry sum in the faces of the rest of the PAC, those who could, jumped ship for greener pastures. This who couldn’t blamed everything and everyone but themselves.. After all, the only thing they did not do was be worth enough $$$ for someone to went them, or they’d have bolted too… The Pacific State School Conference may call themselves the PAC whatever, but they will always by G5 pretenders. I don’t think they ever get recognized with a P4 designation.

The much maligned (by some of us) defense pulls it off! Nobody left that game til it was over, that for sure! Now we get a bye week to get ready for the second round of the playoffs! 13 and 0 baby! Go Ducks!

Has anyone seen anything from either of the top two SEC teams that would cause any worry if they lasted long enough to play OBD?

“coach, 8 penalties in the first half, what will you do to clean that up in the second half?” Sark, “uh, well hopefully they will start to penalize them in the second half.” Brilliant plan Coach, tell your team that is how you plan to maintain your 3 point lead. That will fire them up.

I don’t feel the PAC was tougher than the B1G, I think this year’s edition of OBD IS tougher than any Duck team we have ever seen. This team would have run the table in the PAC in any given year, just as they have this year in the B1G.

OBD. 35, PSU 17 2 Turnovers 4 sacks 335 yards Go Ducks! Let loose the Ducks of war and let chaos reign! We have been beating B1G foes all year, I see no difference Saturday.

All in all, it was a pretty good day for Duck fans across 3 sports! A whole lot of winning for OBD!

They either got to start hitting those threes or work the ball in and make twos. Not sure how many 3s they have missed so far, but it is a lot already…

Excellent article David, thank you on Thanksgiving! I must say I have been wondering if Mad Man Dan would lean into his riverboat gambler side and let osu2 sneak out of the B1G CG with a close win in order to let his guys play one more at Autzen? There are positives to both choices, and I imagine MMDL and his staff have given is more than a passing thought. Either way, Go Ducks, destroy the dawgs!

For OBD the osu2 suckeyes will always play second fiddle to the beavers who not only were here first, but we played them first. And to Charles’ point above, ain’t nuthin they can do about it, the more they piss and moan, the more people will call them osu2! A true win - win!

We could start calling them osu2 since Oregon State was founded in 1868, BEFORE tosu was founded in 1870. I do agree with you Jon, we need to increase our 2-0 streak to about 10-0. That will turn OBD into osu2’s very bitter rival!

BIG TEN TED has always been a fan of the Ducks. Loves the uniforms, logos, colors and Autzen. Calls Duck fans the best and most knowledgeable! He mentions the history of coaches, but acknowledges Dan Lanning as the dude leading the coolest program in college football! Thanks for sharing KK, I just watched it and was going to share but you beat me to it! All fans of OBD need to give this one a listen!

Nothing would make me happier than to see all SEC teams lose their first game! Probably not gonna happen but it would certainly make me a happy camper!

All the Ducks need to do is WIN OUT! if we do not lose this year, all conjecture, hand wringing, this scenario - that scenario, is all a gesture in futility! Go Ducks, pound every opponent who dares challenge you. Offensively, turn the playmakers loose and execute the plays to the best of your abilities.
