To be fair, in large part it was 50% up to the opponent, and we had some beasts to play during each and every year. IMO(fwiw) I think the 2024 edition of OBD had so much more depth (not to mention blue chippers), I think they would have worn the other editions of OBD down by the end of Q-4.

So with Oregon State and Washington State being joined by Fresno State, Boise State, San Diego State, Utah State, Colorado State, and Gonzaga, will the PAC12 be awarded an automatic qualifying spot next year? With 5 of them being former Mountain West, it doesn’t seem like whey should, but I have not heard???

I for one am not calling for anyone on the caching staff to get the axe. A 13-1 season is incredible! We just played our worst game of the season against a team that played their best game of the season. It is college football and these things happen. I have been a Duck fan since the late 60's and I don't remember a year when the Ducks didn't lose to someone they could had/should have beat. I don't like it, I will grumble about it, but I have already accepted it. Bring on the 2025 Edition of OBD!

The CCG would serve a purpose if two teams were tied and you didn’t have a clear #1. In the case of the B1G this year, they should have played it to determine the 2nd and 3rd place teams. OBD had already won the conference flat out.

@BuckDuck welcome to the Forum with Decorum. You will no doubt notice a lot of us will call your team osu2, simply because for us, you are the second OSU team to come into our lives. We have a historied rivalry with the other OSU going back 100+ years. They were also a school before you guys were!

While 2 could be blamed on the seeding issue of putting conference champion game winners inappropriately high in the rankings, I gotta think the 3+ week bye adversely affected each team. That is one big change that needs to happen sooner rather than later.

I posted it yesterday only to have it denied multiple times but having to wait 3 full weeks to play your next game is too dang long. All 4 of the top 4 seeded teams got curb stomped in the first half by a team that got to play a week and a half ago. Non of the 4 were game ready at kickoff.

On a lighter note, the SUC (State Universities Conference) schools, (formerly known as PAC12) are doing gangbusters in this year's post season! All the State Schools that made it to the post season got pasted.

The 2024 edition of OBD was wonderful to watch and fun to root for. 13-0, B1G Champions, won our first B1G Championship game after we were already champions. Beat the tails off the Beavers, outlasted Ohio State at home, Wrapped up the Wolverines in the Big House, Bested the Badgers, Hammered the Huskies! What a Season! Thank you OBD!

I agree, it is a shame. We had a good season, but OBD did not play their game today. Play makers did not make plays. We had ZERO sacks. They had 8. Jordan, Jamaree, and Mateo each had 1 tackle. We rushed for 28 yards. Total. Each of their running backs had 3 times that. I think today, Oregon would have been beaten by Boise State or Penn State (or Texas, Georgia or Notre Dame, even ASU could have taken us today). The Bucks came to play. The Ducks did not. After they got up 34 - 0, we outscored them 21 - 7, but too little, too late. While our season is over, it was a good one. OBD will be back again next year, and we will happily ride the twister that is Oregon football once again!

13-1, B1G Champions, undefeated regular seaon. How many of us saw that back in August? Still, this sucks. OBD didn’t start playing OBD football until they spotted osu2 a 34-0 lead.0. To say we started flat would be an understatement. There are a lot of things I(we) could blame for today, but blame fixes nothing. For now, I want to congratulate the 2024 edition of OBD for a memorable and enjoyable first season in B1G.

I want to see havoc created from the defensive side. Harass Howard, pile-drive pass catchers, stuff the running game, and disrupt the routes. Let the Duck ball-hawks have a field day, and keep osu2 to under 20 points. We can count on OBD offense to put up the points we need for the victory. Go Ducks and put together a complete game we’ve been waiting for. 4 quarters of FEBU Football!

He got a priceless year of mentoring under a truly exceptional leader and playmaker. I hope he is able to give the Ducks two solid years and take us deep into the playoffs both years.

Simple. Win out. Beat osu2 for a second time, then beat THEM. Them being any opponent who steps on the field, B1G, SEC, or Independent.

Oregon has won tight games and blowouts. They have come from behind to win. Multiple times. That builds confidence The Defense has bailed the Offense out when needed , and the Offense has bailed out the Defense when needed. They have shown that they trust each other, They have playmakers all over the field on both sides of the ball. Those playmakers step up and make plays for their teammates. I am more than reasonably confident that OBD emerges victorious on New Year’s Day and that DL and staff will guide this team to a 16-0 season! Having said that, I will indeed be on pins and needles during this game (and every game) because over the years I have seen the breaks break wrong at the wrong time too many times to forget. I have faith that this team will overcome my anxieties.

Right on Charles! This is the time to open the playbook and as DanLDuck says Release the Quack’en! Time to put together a complete game, hold nothing back and beat the buckeyes black and blue. I want to see our boys smiling and happy as they put some Defensive Domination and Offensive Annihilation on osu2. Cry Havoc and Release the Ducks of War! If OBD plays to their abilities, they will bring all of us a Happy New Year and the Dawn of a New Era in College Football.
