  1. Yes, those ticket prices are high. And, trips to Pasadena and Atlanta weren't cheap for Hoosier fans. But, any long-term Hoosier fan understands the net cost per season of amortizing the cost of this 3-game run over 100 years of futility.
  2. Geoff Schwartz "My biggest wish for the offense under Mehringer is an expanded passing game. It's difficult to be built via the OL/run game while also having an extensive passing game. Normally have to pick one lane to major in but the passing game just needs new concepts and formations. It needs to have answers for the better defenses that we face. I am curious if there's another add to the offensive staff now that there's time to make those additions. " My add...I would just say that sometimes the limitations of your passing game is based on the limitations of the recognition and mental processing speed of your QB. If it is limited, or your O-line is limited, the play calls gravitate to short throws. And, against better defenses with good DBs that can stick with the WRs, that takes longer for the WRs to get open, and for the QB to avoid the rush and find them. more Schwartz: https://x.com/geoffschwartz/status/2010015034600980990

  4. Miami, Beck - 41 starts Indiana, Mendoza - 34 starts Oregon, Moore - 22 starts The winning play Miami called was a pass. Beck recognized that was going to be blown up, and trotted into the end zone in empty space. Would Moore have forced the pass? He most likely would have been "locked in." Experience matters.
  5. Noah Whittington said he suffered a turf toe injury last week against Texas Tech. He didn't practice all week before the Peach Bowl.
  6. Davison revealed tonight that he was injured in the first quarter of the Orange Bowl but continued to play anyway. Had surgery on Monday of this week.
  7. "Our big game record as of late" includes beating the Big12's No. 1 team in the Orange Bowl.
  8. Total Yards Offense 378 - Oregon 362 - Indiana Passing by QB 24 of 39 - 285 yds - 2 TD - Moore 17 of 20 - 177 yds - 5 TD - Mendoza Turnovers 3 plus a blocked punt for Oregon led to 28 points by Indiana
  9. Most points scored vs Indiana this season: 24 - Penn St 22 - Oregon 20 - Oregon 15 - Iowa
  10. Ducks retain the biggest semi-final margin ever - 39 pts - 59-20 vs Florida St
  11. Total Yards Offense 378 - Oregon 362 - Indiana Passing by QB 24 of 39 - 285 yds - 2 TD - Moore 17 of 20 - 177 yds - 5 TD - Mendoza
  12. "How is it so hard to get these dudes (receivers) the ball?" The first half 53% pressure rate is on pace to be the highest Moore has faced all season. The pressure Indiana brought in the October game should have clearly been a game planning aspect for Oregon. I understand it's easy for a D to bring pressure when they are leading by 3 TDs, but still ....
  13. Normally, in score deficits like this, I would say stay with your first team QB. But, Moore's performance, and the fact there isn't much scouting Indiana could have done on anyone but Moore, suggests try someone else. Indiana has had a great D-plan both in October and this game. Give them something else to look at.
  14. Miami now 1-4 in Fiesta Bowls.
  15. Miami will play a home game, while either Indiana or Oregon will travel into Saturday morning, then travel again to Miami. If it's the Ducks, that's about 10 hours in an airplane. Miami will be home on Friday before Hoosiers or Ducks start their travel.
  16. Thursday's (Non) Availability Report. Friday's will be 90 minutes before kickoff.
  17. Miami moving the ball early. Didn't appear Cristobal had his head phones on until they got inside the 25....then they settled for a FG.
  18. The conclusion from a white paper on the subject, by former Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs and Mark LaBarbera of Timark Partners, states: “The data in this study reinforces a clear reality: the vast majority of NCAA Division I men’s basketball players who enter the transfer portal move down or out. The portal isn’t the place to rise, but it is the place to find more playing time, albeit at a lower level.” AD Advisors found that 60% of FBS football transfers move down a level as well. For every Jared Verse, who went from FCS Albany to Florida State to the first round of the NFL draft, there is more than one Jaden Rashada, whose path has gone from commitment to Miami and commitment flip to Florida (but not playing) to suiting up at Arizona State and Georgia to his current home, FCS Sacramento State. But, Rashada's story hasn't ended. He entered the portal again today. He may be headed to Colorado to follow his Sac State coach Brennan Marion. Did Oregon guys transfer laterally, or down? https://247sports.com/longformarticle/where-oregon-ducks-football-transfers-are-playing-football-in-2025-dan-lanning-251385102/#2665974
  19. At some point, if there are too many guys in the portal, or guys with questionable past performance stats, then a bunch of them lose leverage for any deal they hoped to achieve. Supply exceeds demand and the price drops. And, or, the scholarship disappears. The dream of sending money home to help mom becomes a disappointment for mom that you didn't keep your scholarship.
  20. So, what does UW get if it can enforce a contract? A disgruntled QB who will be a virus in the lockerroom? And, difficult to manage on the practice and playing field? A contract by the way, though voluntarily signed, which may have a restriction that is not compliant with NCAA rules and can't be contracted away? I'm not an attorney, but I did watch a lot of Matlock and Perry Mason episodes. It appears some of the columnist offering opinion on the topic went to the same "law school" as I did.
