Not a bad spot to be in. You could also watch it on your phone via the Sling or Fubo apps while relaxing.

Does The Transfer Clock Start Today?

I also think credit should be given to the defender who was basically horizontal to the ground mid-air to snag that INT. I think 99/100 times would have been an incomplete pass in ordinary circumstances, it was a pretty exceptional play by that CB. -
The Oregon Ducks Offense: The Bunch Toss
kirklandduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Looking back on the game, I can now understand why DL left his starters in on offense in the 4th quarter. He knows his players' understanding of the new schemes is rough at this stage, so he might as well leave them in for game time reps. Not the ideal circumstance but necessary to get at least some kind of benefit out of a really bad situation. -
The offense just needs to cut down on mistakes. Bo Nix needs to dial it back and play within himself and not try ill-conceived heroic plays...when he didn't the offense actually moved the ball very well. The rest of the offense, particularly the OL need to cut down on penalties (there were at least a couple false starts at crucial times which killed drives). The defense just needs to improve all around, particularly finishing those tackles. I anticipate OBD will beat EWU it's just a matter of how much. The difference in the score will indicate how much improvement has happened over the course of this week. I'll only feel better if it's at least a 4-TD win...

Nope. It feels like they’re still trying to figure out which 2-3 backs they want to use.
-
I wasn’t expecting Oregon to win but I did expect them to be at least competitive. The defense in particular is atrocious. These tackling issues had to have shown up in practice previously, I doubt the coaches didn’t know about it. The question for me is what they’re doing about it?
-
They had Stetson Bennett dead to rights on that play, one of them even had his hands around his waist and STILL blew the tackle. If I were DL or Tosh, I’d be benching players now for backups that will actually finish a tackle. There’s no use in staying on your assignment only to consistently blow it by not bringing your target down. That’s just inexcusable. *edit: that was Jamal Hill. It feels like a lot of the missed tackles are by DBs so far.

Things were running smoothly in that drive, then Bo got cocky and tried something silly. Dillingham needs to squash that fast.
-
Terrible pass by Bo. Why would you throw right into traffic like that?
-
If I were DL I’d be irate at the number of missed tackles.
-
They’re still adjusting to their assignments. Brand new offense, brand new defense…practice isn’t the same as game time unfortunately.

Defense looking confused and sloppy. Dan and Tosh need to get them to settle down.
-
Nix seems to be comfortable in the offense, which it great. Now it’s up to Dillingham to call the right plays and the other skill players to execute.

Transfer from Minnesota, ran for almost 700 yards last season
-
If Bo Nix stays within himself and makes sound plays then Oregon has a shot at this.

I think I saw a tiny sliver of green in the corner….

As expected, the stands at this “neutral” site are almost entirely red. Let’s hope OBD makes that place dead silent today!

Matching Up: Oregon Offense vs Georgia Defense
kirklandduck replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
If there were ever a time to play Georgia, it would be this season in week 1. Yes they're reloading on defense but they're still replacing a whopping 8 players on that side of the ball. With all those new starters and it being the 1st game of the season, mistakes are inevitably going to happen. If Oregon's offense runs well and they capitalize on every mistake the Bulldogs give them then they have a shot.
